It was a CD, which had her audition video. He questioned "ye CD kiski hai?"

"Ji wo.. Wo.." she was hesitating.

"Kya wo? Main dekh hi leta hai khud jabtak kahogi main laga bhi dunga" he said and headed to the television.

He inserts the dvd inside the player, Manvi closes her eyes. Manvi opens her eyes and sees there wedding video. She was confused, how the DVD changed. She looked at the bed and saw another DVD. she had a sigh of relief.

"Tum ye kaise dekh sakti ho? Isme toh kuch dekhne layak hai bhi nahi" he said.

Manvi glanced at him and said "ye hamari wedding ki DVD hai.."

"Haan toh?? Dekho zara main kitne gusse mein hoon aur tum ganga jamuna baha rahi ho.." he said.

Manvi smiled.. "Haan tab halat hi aise they.. Na aapko mujhse shaadi karni thi aur na main ye shaadi karna chahti thi" she replied remembering the wedding.

"I think we should get married again.. Future mein dekhne layak shaadi ka acha video toh hoga" he said turning off the television.

"Ji uski zaroorat nahi hai.. Filhal toh aapko maa ka sochna chahiye unka janamdin aane waala hai" Manvi reminded him.

"Acha hua tumne yaad dilaya.. Main toh bhool hi gaya tha" he replied.

Manvi murmured "kuch yaad rehta kab hai aapko?"

He gave her a look "kya kaha tumne?" he questioned narrowing his eyes.

Manvi shook her head in no "kuch nahi.."

She picked up the DVD, hide it in between her saree pallu and left the room. He was suspicious at her behaviour for a while but let it go with his doubts maybe he was thinking too much.

It was Gautami's Birthday, in the evening a pooja was arranged. Gautami said "manvi aaj time se wapas aa jana ghar pooja mein tumhe aur Vineet dono ko saath baithna hai mere"

Manvi agreed "jee maa"

She went to school, she went to rehearsals. Few girls saw her dancing and they smiled. Something came in their mind, they locked the door from the outside and left. Manvi looked at the time on the clock, it showed 4 pm. She sighed "ab mujhe ghar jaana chahiye pooja hai 5 baje"

She picked up her bag and came to the door, she tried to unlock it but failed. She was not understanding how it got locked, she knocked "koi hai bahar.. Darwaza kholo.."

She kept on banging on the door hoping someone would come and open the door.

Here at home, guests had arrived. Vineet was trying to call Manvi but the phone was switched off.
"Itna time ho gaya hai ye ab tak aayi kyun nahi hai.."

Here at school, the girl named Tia opened the door. Manvi looked at her, she was her classmate who always bullies her.

Tia said "ye competition bhool jao tum aunty ji.. Tia hi jeetegi.. Abhi toh bas lock kiya tha tumhe kuch ghante ke liye kal pratice karte dikhi na toh kya karungi tumhara tum soch bhi nahi sakti.."

She left pushing Manvi to the floor, Manvi lost her balance and fell twisting her foot. The instance pain gave tears in her eyes. She stood up and walked out with a sprained foot. She took the taxi and headed towards home.

She arrived at the house in half an hour and saw guests leaving. It seemed pooja had ended, she glanced at Vineet who was talking to a priest.

Gautami came to her, Manvi looked and apologized "maa sorry.. Wo traffic mujhe late ho gaya bahut"

"Manvi kam se kam phone toh uthana chahiye tha tumhe.." Gautami said.

Manvi informed "Wo battery khatam ho gayi thi iski.."

"Jao jaake change karlo.." Gautami said and Manvi left to the room. She did not told about her injury as this will raised questions to which she don't have answers.

Vineet came into the room, he saw her but did not say anything. He searched for his trousers but was unable to find it. He messed up a few things, Manvi asked "kya dhund rahe hai aap?"

He kept on searching, Manvi asked "batayie na main de deti hun"

"Koi zaroorat nahi hai" he gave a cold reply.

She knew, he is angry with her but it was not her fault. Finally he found his trousers and wore it.

He laid down on the bed and started scrolling his phone. Manvi looked at him and said "suniye na.."

He looked at her "kya sunu main? Tumse kaha tha na aaj time se aa jaana mujhe samajh nahi aata hai kaunsi extra classes hai tumhari jiske liye tumhe ye tak hosh nahi tha ki aaj pooja hai ghar mein" he said angrily.

"Ji.. wo main sorry.." she just apologized.

"Come on Manvi.. Saalo baad main maa ki ichcha se pooja mein baitha tha aur tum nahi thi.. Sab kitne sawal khade kar rahe they mujhe uski chinta nahi hai but maa tumhe toh unka mujhse zyada khayal hai na..?" he demanded answers..

"Ji mujhe hai.. Main toh nikal rahi thi time par.." she said.

"Par kya?? Please mujhe excuses mat do tum.." he was really upset with her.

He turned to the other side and closed his eyes. She sighed deeply, tears sleep down her eyes. Night passed, the next morning Vineet woke up.

He looked beside him and saw Manvi sleeping in an uneasy position. The alarm clock buzzed, Manvi woke up with the sound. She sat up and just smiled at him.

"Coffee bana do mere liye.." he said and went to the washroom.

The smile vanished from her face, she took down her foot and kept it on the floor. She flinched in pain "Ahh.."

He came out of the washroom hearing her voice, she looked at him. He asked "kya hua tumhe?"

"Kuch nahi.." she replied.

He doubted, he said "ab tak gayi nahi tum.. Jao coffee leke aao"

"Haa.. jaa rahi hun" she stood up, trying to bear the pain. She tried to walk normally, he sighed. He held her hand and pushed her to the bed.

He scolded her more "Are you mad? Chala toh tumse jaa nahi raha hai..ab bataogi kya hua hai?" he gave her firing gaze.

She replied "ji wo.. Kal main gir gayi thi toh moch aa gayi hai pair mein"

"Pata hai tumhari problem kya hai?? Tumhe na daant khane mein maza aata hai kal raat yahi baat bata deti toh itni daant nahi khani padti tumhe" he said annoyingly.

She just looked down..

The family doctor came and checked her foot, he tied the warm bandage on it.

'Fracture nahi hai but theek hone mein teen chaar din lagenge.. Zyada chalta firna mat" The doctor advised.

"Thik hai doctor.. 3 teen school nahi jayegi ye.. Ghar pe rest karegi" Gautami said.

Manvi was shocked hearing it, as this Sunday is the competition and she have to rehearse for it.

Doctor left, Vineet said "maa mujhe phone kar dena agar zaroorat ho toh main office chalta hun"

Gautami nodded and he left.

Gautami said "Tum aaram karo main baad mein aati hun"

Manvi agreed, Maria asked "kya hua Manvi mam?"

"Wo sunday competition hai aur mujhe rehearsals ke liye school jaana hoga" Manvi said.

"Mam Vineet Sir allow nahi karenge aur Maaji bhi.. Aur aapka pair bhi toh muda hua hai" she said in concern.

"Nahi main ye mauka nahi gawah sakti hun Maria.. Mujhe jaana hi hoga School" Manvi said.

At office

Vineet decided to call Manvi and ask about her pain. He dialed her number and Gautami picked up the phone.

"Haan Vineet beta bolo" she said from the other side.

"Maa Manvi ka pain kaisa hai ab?" he asked.

"Vineet wo toh school gayi hai" she replied.

He was shocked hearing it. He asked "lekin kyun?"

"Kah rahi thi ki koi test hai jo dena zaroori hai miss nahi kar sakti maine Maria ko uske saath bheja hai" Gautami informed.

Vineet ended the call hearing this.

St. Xavier's School

Manvi was practicing. She fell due to the pain in her leg. Maria said "mam.. Aapko bahut pain ho raha hai.. Rehne dijiye"

"Nahi Maria.. Ab main peeche nhi hat sakti hun.." Manvi said.

She stood up again and started dancing forgetting the pain of her sprained leg. A smile appeared on her face when she succeeded in rehearing on the song. The song ends, she twirled around and collide with someone.

She looked and was left stunned seeing Vineet in front of her. He gave her an unbelievable look.
