Alucard: Ruby, take Emerald back to base...

Ruby: B-but-

Ozpin: There is no need for hostilities, Alucard Branwen.

Alucard: Now Ruby!

As Ruby used her semblance and her older sister yelled out for her, I wondered how my plan screwed up so completely.

It was simple, Neo used her semblance to disguise herself as a rich target, Emerald, now being a pick pocket, would approach. Then I knock her out from behind while Ruby keeps watch with her sniper scope.

It took weeks to get info on the mint haired girl. She covered her tracks remarkably well. She would have to, she was being hunted by everyone. After her 'betrayal' Cinder leaked her details to every bounty hunter, Ozpin, Ironwood, and anyone else even slightly competent in tracking that she was not only responsible for the dust thefts, but also had a direct connection to the White Fang's true leader.

Good old Coppercock immediately put a dead or alive bounty on her, and with her old allies chasing her as well... Her pick picketing skills were her only source of survival now.

The plan started without a hitch. After watching her mutilate a few attempted rapists with her hidden dagger and strange new ice powers.... Yeah imma have to talk to her about those. Since when?

Never mind, not important right now.

Anyway Neo castrated a few horny thugs without difficulty. We changed location a few more times, then we finally caught a break. Emerald finally appeared, and approached Neo. Just as she got behind her, I was about to strike her neck from behind but then she surprised me.

Emerald: I heard you were looking for me, Alucard...

Flash forward to her explaining how she heard of us looking for info, and figuring we were a better bet than risking general Ironball's wrath or going back to miss Pyrophilia. At least if I was after her head, I wouldn't enslave or torture her first.

She even agreed to come with us without incident for gods sake...

Then as if the very dieties directed a 'Fuck you' from the pearly gates themselves, good ole dad, cousin, and wonderful wizard from oz decided our plan was going too well, and showed up from an alleyway...

Note to self: after I finally die, find out who God is and punch him in the dick...

Guess that leaves me to now, facing my past...again...

Ozpin: You have been quite busy Mr Branwen.

I scoffed.

Alucard: Mr Branwen is right next to you. I no longer go by any last name. Call me Alucard or kindly go fuck yourself anally with a cactus.

Ozpin calmly looked me over.

Ozpin: You have chosen the wrong side in this war, Alucard. The darkness brings only pain and suffering. You can be so much more than Her pawn.

I spared a quick glance at Neo right next to me and noticed her fist glowing in a pale blue light almost unnoticeable in the daylight.

Alucard: I'm getting real sick of every jackass telling me I'm a slave to some bitch I've never heard of. And what's so wrong with darkness huh? What are we? Children? Here is a newsflash, darkness isn't inherently bad. Sure there are drawbacks, but what's a few headaches and whispers when it gives me the abilities I need to make a decent living...or at least it would be decent if people stop preaching to me...

Qrow: Son-

Alucard: Shut up or fuck off, ideally both, in either order. I don't have time for puppets like you Qrow.

Yang's eyes turned red and she started yelling at me.

Yang: HOW DARE YOU! FIRST YOU RUN AWAY LIKE A COWARD, THEN YOU BRAINWASH RUBY, YOU KILL THE REST OF MY TEAM, AND NOW YOU INSULT US! I'LL RIP YOU APART!!!

Alucard: Is that what they told you? Well sorry Yang, but I currently have no ability to brainwash people... Wish I did though, could get rich with that alone. Your sister came to me, and joined willingly I assure you. What was I supposed to do? Leave her behind in the worst corner of Vale where I found her?
Oh and some free advice. Calm down. Fight me using your typical berserker rage and you'll die.

I turned to Ozpin

Alucard: Now what do you want? Sorry to break it to you, but bad luck and rage isn't enough to take me out anymore. Maybe a few months ago but now...

Ozpin: Oh? And what makes you think we are alone here?

Alucard:I know how you work. If you had more people here, they would be visible to establish that you have the upper hand.

Ozpin: Very well Mr Alucard, I'll get right to the point. I would like to give you the opportunity to walk down the correct path again. I want to offer you a place within my Academy. You can rejoin your family again in the light and fight for what's right.

I just deadpan stared at the delusional men before me. While Ozpin studied me carefully, Qrow looked hopeful...

I pinched the bridge of my nose.

Alucard: So let me get this straight. You want me, a known assassin and mercenary, to go to a school I don't need, to meet a family I spent years trying to avoid, for you, a man that wants to strip my 'corrupted' aura and though that, my soul from me? Because it's the 'right' path? Look good luck with your little war or whatever with the grimm and white fang but I have to respectfully decline. I'm just going to continue being a mercenary, the pay is better...

Qrow: Son be reasonable! Salem is only using you! She will dispose of you when she is through with you! Look I'm sorry we treated you like that, but you have to understand it was for the good of Remnant!

I took off my sunglasses, making the idiots all gasp when they saw my black and red eyes.

Alucard: So child neglect and abuse is now an encouraged practice now, is it? Look, just for the record Qrow, I don't care anymore. I did once want to, as Yang put it, rip you apart, but revenge doesn't feed me or those I care about. There was no real reason to hold a grudge against your family. I am no longer apart of it after all. You want forgiveness to feel better about yourself? Fine. I forgive you all for chaining me in the basement. Is that better? You still have a wife don't you? Well if you want a son again, fuck her and try again. But please, leave me alone.

I then turned to Yang who was glaring at me.

Alucard: As for you, I do feel for you. Tell you what, you remember where we all met the last time right? Go there alone in two weeks and you can have that sweet team reunion you crave. And before you get the idea to ambush us, be aware that I can sense life force if I focus. If you are not completely alone we will not be there. If you are you can discuss what the bad assassin did to your fragile little sister... But for now...

Neo then smirked and snapped her fingers causing the area around them to encase Ozpin, Qrow, and Yang in a dome of ice. Ozpin paled while the rest of them tried to escape but found that their feet were frozen to the ground.

Alucard: I have to be going. It's been real fun but alas, all good things must come to an end...

Just as I was about to leave I heard Ozpin stutter out
