*Alucard pov*

Blake: Why are you here assassin?

She calmly spoke but her eyes along with her partner weiss's body language told me they were still sore from my humiliating victory over them. Yang didn't come as she disobeyed Ozprick to scour vale for... something, they wouldn't say but my money's on Ruby. Good thing she stayed behind with Neo.

Alucard: You know as well as I do that a line faunus going anywhere in atlas alone is a bad idea. Even if they don't recognize Ilia as ex white fang, she'd have a target firmly painted on her back. Kinda like if I went to Menagerie when you think about it.

Weiss: Stop mocking us!! You show up trying to look cool in sunglasses but we all know your nothing but a criminal!

Alucard: Actually the shades, while badass, do serve a purpose. Come on, I even let you bring your weapons.

Ilia: That's because you couldn't get rid of your own weapon...

Ah yes my sword. Anything else I make eventually fades away be it grimm or weapons, but this sword didn't get that memo. I can't unsummon it, I can't destroy it, I can't just toss it in a river, hell I even tried burying the damn thing but no I walk away and it just pops back to my side.

Blake: And for what purpose does those glasses serve? The clouds block any use for them and they do little to hide your identity from us. 

Alucard: I don't really need to hide. Ironwood doesn't know my face. Let's just say my semblance, if you can call it that, has a few... side effects. It would draw too much attention of I got rid of them here.

Weiss scoffed and Blake narrowed her eyes at me. Ilia started to feel awkward.

Ilia: Umm I just wanted you to tell your father in no longer in the fang, Blake. If I end up in menagerie, I don't want problems with him and his supporters...

Blake ignored her and kept staring at me.

Alucard: Look if it's any consolation I'm done working for Adam. He left us here for dead during a job. 

Blake: So your willing to become a hunter then? 

Alucard: No. 

Blake: Why not?

Alucard: While I believe in the idea of hunters in general, as long as the leadership is what it is, they will always be corrupt. Ozpin and ironwood are great examples of how too much power corrupts. One rules with an iron fist and the other thinks he is a messiah. 

Weiss: So you think that justifies you to kill indiscriminately?! 

Blake: Weiss calm down.

Weiss: I'm not going to sit here while a murderer says hunters are immoral!!

Alucard: I never claimed to be on the high ground. After I ran away, I just did what I could to survive. Yes I killed, but what was I supposed to do? Maybe if it was only me I had to look out for, I could've tried a different path but I'm not alone. My partner and I had a choice between going to Ozpin who would either seal my powers away and arrest my partner or force us to be his pawns, or becoming criminals. 

Blake: You could have joined the work force. 

Alucard: uhh no I couldn't. I was way too young to get hired. Dispite what is told to hunters, crime does pay if you do it right. If you have two mouths to feed, you need lien. To get it you need a skill. We had skills suited to kill people. 

???: You could have come home!!

Oh God you have got to be fucking kidding me... Even after years to forget it I remember that voice clearly. 

Alucard: Hello, Lillith Branwen. You know if your gonna ambush people it's best to start shooting immediately and not announce yourself. Trust me, I'm an assassin.

Blake: You were supposed to stay behind!! 

Lilith: Son please come home. We miss you! 

Alucard: Funny, even when I was still in your custody, you left me with your friends rather than raise me. If you did miss me, why not get me out of the basement you left me in?

Lilith: We had no choice! The darkness you wield could threaten the world! You don't understand where it comes from! Turn away from it!!

Alucard: Uhh why?

Lilith: What?

Alucard: Why would I? Even if I trusted you, and I don't, this power never once harmed me. Changed me yes, but it also gave me a way to protect others. And frankly why do you care? You never cared before. What, do you regret sealing yourself and now want to take it out on me? Do me a favor and fuck off. I avoided your family for years, you could at least return the favor. Hell, I'll even say please if you want to pretend your teaching me manners "mother". 

LIlith: I can't let you continue down this path son! You'll be as bad as she is if you do! This is for the good of the planet!

Alucard: So the planet demands I give up the very powers it gave me, and run the risk of being an emotionless husk? Well sorry but in that case fuck the world. Who are you to tell me to do that? Also who is "she"? You know what? I don't care. Go away. I got business here and it doesn't concern you. I'm not here to debate my powers or my past. And I care even less on what you think my future should be. Run back to Qrow and Ozpin. You have no power here. 

Ilia: Actually were done here let's go back.

Weiss: What?! I thought you were Blake's friend?! You'd rather side with a murderer like him than her?!

Blake: Weiss-

Ilia and I stand up and start to walk away.

Ilia: Why not? After all she did it to me once. And she couldn't even keep her promise to only bring one other person here. 

LIlith : Son, wait!

Alucard: Call me what you will. I avoided you for years but if you follow me I WILL finish what you started long ago and kill you. I will not give up this power just because you said to and I'm not going back with you. You made you choice then, so deal with it. 

{Timeskip}

After that whole charade, me and Ilia started to go back after we went grocery shopping. If I didn't bring back cookies and ice cream I'd have a riot on my hands. I also got a few cheap black shirts while I was at it. 

[At the edge of the forest]

Alucard: I thought I said don't follow us...

???: I ditched the others. I couldn't talk freely with them around. Can I... *mumbles*

Alucard: What?

???: I want to join you...

A/n Yes I'm going to make you wait a week to see who it is. Also dispite threatening her, Alucard does not care about revenge on Lilith or anyone else in his family. Also because I had a few people ask me, no Alucard and friends don't know about the shit show in beacon. While he did hear rumors about ozpin overreacting, he doesn't know any details at all.
