Hello Malaysia!

We're so excited to have the Malay community be a part of Wattpad. We love seeing international growth and supporting different languages and cultures through literature. I'm Nick, the Content Manager at Wattpad. My job is to make sure I have an eye on all the stories all across Wattpad, and to understand them as best as possible so I can better serve all of you. This comes in many forms, from reading stories, to analyzing data, to interviewing readers to better grasp why they read.

Unfortunately I mostly speak English, but I try my best to share my knowledge and findings with the community on my profile and in other Wattpad locations. You can always check it out if you have questions or want to learn more. The Ambassadors also know a lot of the answers to these questions and can help you out. I should know, I was an Ambassador for three years before working at Wattpad, and was a major Wattpad writer. This means I've seen Wattpad from every angle and experience, and been through just about everything. I know how it feels when you get that first reader, when someone leaves an exceptional comment, or when you find someone who also writes like you do. It's amazing.

It also means I've seen some of the negatives of writing. Writer's block, lack of motivation, a harsh critique, everything. Finding people to connect with positively is always what has helped many get through the harder spots when writing. I additionally recommend reading Wattpad's Terms of Service and Content Guidelines to understand what content is appropriate for Wattpad and what behaviour is acceptable. For example, copyright is obviously banned and should be reported if you ever encounter or experience it. You cannot post things and give credit to someone if you don't have their permission to post. The same goes for things like pornographic content, and Wattpad outlines exactly what is banned. We are a massive community, with thousands of new stories added every day, so we rely on our community to help report content they find that violates our guidelines. If you ever encounter something you feel isn't right, check the guidelines and report it. You can help make the community even better!
