notes: lol hoesecco comes from when my friend started reading my fanfiction outloud and somehow mispronounced hoseok as hoesecco xD
also i would just like to add, that whatever i portray the seven members of bangtan as, isn't actually how they are in real life or how i see them in real life. except maybe namjoon, yoongi and hoseok, i tried to stay true to their personalities xD
e.g taehyung is not a manipulative little shit who steals food
or maybe armys should ask the rest of bts about that last part
xD

"Is there something fucking wrong with you?" It was a threatening snarl from the worst time of mutt, but she kept her stance, her bravery. Yoongi wouldn't get to her before she was knocked onto the floor by the thug towering above her.
"Is there something fucking wrong with you?" She gestured aggressively to the boy knocked down onto the floor beside them. Said boy visibly flinched, almost as if he thought the girl suddenly gesturing to him would turn into another hit on him.
Yoongi couldn't run; it was like his feet were tied and he could only shuffle awkwardly. The sudden image now burning bright into his memories made him try, though.
He fell to the floor.
The thug struck the side of the girl's face with a strong fist, and she crumpled to the floor with nothing but a pained cry.
"Yoongi!"
The blonde awoke with a start- immediately feeling some coldness in his heart that was either left from the dream, or there anew from the fact Holly had left his arms while he slept.
Hoseok held his hand, sitting on the floor beside the couch and looking into Yoongi's eyes, almost worriedly.
"You left your front door unlocked. Some drunk had an argument with me, trying to convince me this was his house and I wasn't allowed inside."
The news barely even shocked Yoongi. His neighborhood wasn't the best- he was used to having the same argument with many various people.
His gaze flickered down to Hoseok's hand entwined with his. It was a wordless question, and he'd barely even begun to ask it before his friend pulled their hands apart, leaving Yoongi's hand hanging limp off the side of the couch.
"You were shaking."
Yoongi continued to stare at where their hands had been held together.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"I was just cold." Yoongi mumbled.
He looked up at Hoseok, who shook his head, smiling slightly.
"It's summer."
"Shut up, Hoesecco."
Hoseok stifled a laugh at the nickname, deciding to leave his concern for just a while, until Yoongi decided to touch on the subject again. The said boy slowly sat up, and looked to Hoseok.
"What time is it?" He asked, his voice slightly husky from just waking up. Hoseok tried to ignore it.
"Six." The younger got up to sit beside him. "Yah, don't worry, I fed Holly when I came in."
Yoongi relaxed significantly, leaning slightly into Hoseok.
They would almost fit together. They were like two pieces of the same puzzle that belonged on entirely opposite sides of the picture.
As Yoongi leaned more into Hoseok, probably dozing off again for all Hoseok knew, he got to thinking.
If they were puzzle pieces, the corner that fit with Yoongi was missing since years ago.

Breezes rustled through my little flower garden. Nothing like that usually happens, so I sat among the grass and watched, listened. I didn't feel it.
But now it's gone.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Yoongi-hyung totally fell asleep on me last night." Hoseok teased, a playful smirk on his face as he glanced over at the blonde.
"Last night?" Namjoon discreetly implied. "And what else did you do last night?" He smirked.
"Shut up," Yoongi mumbled, a tone of embarrassment in his voice, and shoved his hands into his jacket pockets.
It's not like it wasn't true. Yoongi had fallen asleep to the warmth of Hoseok sitting at his side, his calm, soft, rhythmic breaths, but since when would he let that get out?
Despite all of that, Yoongi was running on coffee once again. He'd woken up in the early hours of the morning, finding himself in his bed and Hoseok, unsurprisingly, gone.
The dream hadn't returned at all in his second slumber, but nevertheless he had still struggled greatly to fall back asleep. Yoongi being Yoongi, that meant sneaking downstairs as quietly as he could, in order not to wake his older brother, and drinking coffee until he couldn't stop tapping his feet on the floor whenever he sat down or stood still.
All the caffeine induced energy had slowly but surely dwindled away over the many hours he had already been awake, leaving Yoongi sluggish and grumpy as they milled around the school yard. Though Namjoon and Hoseok would have most likely been better off revising for their various upcoming exams and tests, they'd confessed that they'd wanted to spend time with Yoongi- and not just because he was 'coffee drunk' and would probably go sleep in the shade of a tree if he was on his own.
Yoongi let his thoughts drift, as Hoseok bickered with Namjoon about suggesting things and embarrassing him.
As much as he had tried to, Yoongi hadn't been able to understand the dream that had left him shaking, and Hoseok concerned.
Who was the girl? He hadn't caught a proper glimpse of her face, but her actions and the rest of her appearance had been nothing close to familiar. But why would he run to help someone he didn't know? Why would he even dream about someone he didn't know?
Damn, it was too early in the morning for this. There was nowhere to even get coffee in school, either.
"Earth to hyung?" Namjoon called, dragging Yoongi out of his sleepily thoughtful daze, nearly making him jump as he waved a hand in front of his face.
"We were just talking about how you should talk to Cerridwen over there. She seems pretty upset about the whole thing that happened yesterday."
A scowl almost immediately found it's way to Yoongi's face, as he turned to look at Namjoon. For once, he seemed pretty serious.
"Why me? Why not you, if you're gonna point it out in the first place?"
"You're the graduating senior, shouldn't you care about a distressed younger year?"
It hit Yoongi like a ton of bricks- that yes, in fact, he probably should. Although, it wasn't like Cerridwen had the best reputation. Maybe that was what bothered him- whether the rumors about her were true or not.
Cerridwen Foster only transferred from England because she was a 'lab rat' who worked with scientists in the area. She had been orphaned at a young age, and the price she had to pay to stay away from an orphanage was to essentially give herself up to a travelling scientist group.
It was only ever rumored that they tested on her, but everyone knew the extra hours she spent in the library weren't for the benefit of her grades, but for research. The heavy weight of her bag wasn't an excess amount of either textbooks or storybooks, but documents, files and paperwork that she managed to get through with guaranteed security from Kim Taehyung.
There had almost been an unspoken agreement between the duo, but they had never really worked out the kinks in it. Of course, there was nothing officially binding Taehyung to Cerridwen or vice versa, so it was no surprise that Taehyung only protected her privacy and the secret contents of her documents for his own personal gain, and Cerridwen hardly even initiated a conversation with him just out of pure preoccupation.
There was no friendship.
But all the same Yoongi found himself walking over, joining her on the bench under the tree that he had sat on at lunch the day before. She barely even flinched- just continued absentmindedly watching the clouds drift by high up in the sky.
"I didn't want to come over but my friends told me to." Yoongi confessed bluntly, out of no where, which caused Cerridwen to turn to him in almost surprise. "But I'm here now so I guess I have to do this right? We saw what happened yesterday- with Taehyung, right?"
Cerridwen nodded uncertainly. If Yoongi hadn't seen her screaming and yelling at Taehyung the other day, he would have assumed she was mute.
"Well, he's a dick. Get a new friend that doesn't steal your food. Food is more important than friendship, anyway."
A smile graced the girl's lips. It wasn't a laugh, hell, it wasn't even that bright, but at least it happened.
"But-"
"You know it's no secret what you do, right? No matter of no one's directly seen it, we all know about all that research, and those documents."
Cerridwen's face fell.
"Hmm, I know. But even if Taehyung uses me for his own gain, which I do know about, at least it means he won't leave me behind until he gets what he wants."
"You're going back to him, then?"
A silence grew between them. If he tried hard enough, Yoongi could hear his friends chatting and laughing in the distance.
"Yes." A slight little bit of hesitation plagued her voice. "Thank you, Yoongi, is it?"
The blonde nodded, barely even questioning how she knew his name. The school probably had a board of graduating students, and not to brag, but he had got some of the highest scores in the latest exams and that had probably earned him some public recognition.
"I'm gonna leave you now. Just think over the thing about Taehyung. And value your food over your friendship."
With that, he got up and left Cerridwen sitting alone. Hoseok and Namjoon must have seen him and followed of their own accord- because he hadn't even glanced in their direction, and had started walking back to the school building alone, but they still ended up by his side, walking with him.
"Yoongi? You okay, D-Boy?" A hint of concern was in Namjoon's voice, almost cleverly hidden between a joking tone and the nickname 'D-Boy', but Yoongi didn't immediately reply. It was almost like he was in some kind of trance or daydream- unable to hear him in the first place.
"Yoongi!"
Hoseok's sudden strong grip on his wrist pulled him to a stop. Yoongi turned to him, a scowl on his face.
"What?"
"Where the hell are you going?"
"To the library." Yoongi nearly growled out. "On my own. That kid must have some dirt on Kim Taehyung, and I wanna know."
He forcefully pulled his wrist out of Hoseok's grip, leaving both of the only just younger than him boys stood in the middle of the yard on their own.
