but it's still a lie
Drinks flowed freely around them, Josiah and his roommate, Demetrius, standing near the wall as they took note of a pair of girls watching them.
"I want the light skin one." Demetrius slurred, "You can get the other one."
Josiah squinted his eyes to see the "light skin" one, "She "bout ugly as shit bro. Ian mad at all."
"Her ass make her a 6. The henny give her an extra point so she a 7 now."
He laughed into his cup, downing the rest of it before looking around for another bottle, "I need the henny then 'cause I'm not seeing what you seeing."
"Aye hold on they coming." Demetrius tried to whisper, but was actually loud as hell, "Don't call her ugly to her face."
The girls stopped in front of them, smiling, "Hey."
Now that they were closer, he could see that neither of them were cute, both just.... ugly.
Josiah wasn't rude towards women, so he would never laugh in their face if they were unattractive.
But he was drunk.
So Josiah wouldn't laugh in their face if they were unattractive and he were sober.
He turned to face the wall, leaning against it as he laughed loudly. Demetrius didn't know what to do, trying to make up for his friend, while being just as drunk as him, "He just drunk. Wassup with y'all?"
They weren't aware why he was laughing, so they continued to talk to Demetrius while Josiah looked around the room, searching for somebody to go home with.
His eyes paused on a girl standing in the corner by herself, her arms crossed as she held a cup, looking around the party but never talking to anybody.
He watched her for a minute or so before approaching, noticing she never drank from the cup she was holding.
Before Josiah made it to her, he stopped to make two drinks, one for him and one for her, holding it towards her as she looked at him in confusion.
"I didn't put shit in it." He said, knowing she probably knew not to take drinks from people she didn't know.
She still continued to stare at him, so he quickly drank both cups, "See?"
That seemed to calm her nerves some as she leaned closer to shout, "I don't like drinking."
Josiah nodded, not really caring what she did, "What's ya' name?"
"Ava."
The longer they talked, the more he drank, the more Ava felt more relaxed.
He thought she was shy until they ended up in a bathroom with her below him, staring into his eyes as she swallowed his cum.
"My turn?" She asked, rising to her feet with a grin.
"Not in here. Come home with me."
Ava agreed following him outside where he gave her the keys.
She stared at them, "I uh, really don't know how to drive."
"How you in college and can't drive?" Josiah asked with a laugh.
Josiah was leaning on the car, his head to the sky, so he didn't see the way she looked at him assuming she was in college.
"I just don't know how. We can order an Uber?"
The Uber would take about 20 minutes, plus the additional 15 minutes to get to their apartment would put them at 35 minutes.
He could cut that in half if he drove.
"I'll drive us."
Ava stared at him unsurely, "You're really drunk though."
"I been drunker than this and made it to where I was going." Josiah assured her, "You good."
Not wanting to give up the opportunity to have sex with an older guy who seemed interested in her, Ava nodded.
They should've realized it was a bad idea when Josiah couldn't even get the fob in the ignition for a solid minute.
That didn't matter to him though, he was only thinking about the different positions he wanted to fuck the girl sitting next to him in.
Avon? Avatar? Whatever her name was.
When entering the interstate, a light drizzle started, turning into pouring rain.
Ava shifted nervously when she noticed Josiah didn't decrease his speed. She could barely see, so she knew he couldn't.
"Can you even see?"
He glanced at her, "Yeah."
"I can't."
They successfully made it to their designated exit of the interstate Josiah finally decreasing his speed as he went around the sharp curve.
Ava shifted again, crossing her legs, and drawing Josiah's attention to them.
To Josiah it only seemed like he was staring for a second. In reality, it was much longer.
Long enough for him to slowly drift off the road, Ava beginning to scream as the car hit several flips before landing upside down.
Then it was deadly silent.
The car behind them was the one who called the police, urging them to hurry because the rain had caused someone's car to slide off the road.
Josiah watched blood drip from the girl's head injury. He began a prayer, that was more of a mantra, begging God to allow her to live and kill him instead.
He watched the girl in the passenger seat take her last breath before he passed out.

Handcuffs linked to a hospital bed is what Josiah woke up to.
A cough from him alerted the nurse who was in his room that he was awake, and she immediately relayed this information to the police.
Because he was under the influence, his BAC 0.13 which is well above the legal limit, they were charging him with DUI as well as vehicular manslaughter.
For killing the 17 year old girl that was with him.
