LXXVII. GRACE—CHAPTER SEVENTY-SEVEN
( I don't know if I'm supposed to warn anyone, but there's a mild sexual situation at the end of this. It's more like a steamy makeout but I mean... )

"I'm starting to think that it was a good idea to leave earlier," Grace voiced, her wide eyes watching as it rained heavily on the car, the windshield wipers moving wildly back and forth in an attempt to rid the window of anything that could block Sebastian's view.

"You think?" Sebastian retorted, groaning as he placed a second hand on the wheel. He couldn't see shit with the amount of rain falling on his car, and he couldn't seem to remember a time when he had ever had to drive in something like this.

Grace said nothing. She didn't want him to grow any more frustrated than he already was. Instead, she tightened her lips and gripped the handle beside her tightly.

She could tell that her boyfriend was beginning to panic, and she knew that panicking never lead to anything good. His breathing came out faster as he leaned closer towards the windshield, as if getting closer would somehow make it easier to see. So, she pulled out her phone and opened a map, checking for any place they would be able to stop for awhile.

"Slow down," Grace finally said, lifting her eyes from her screen as she watched Sebastian slow down. "Turn right here. It goes off-road. I figured it would be easier to get there with less traffic."

Sebastian's entire demeanor changed instantly once he turned into the road. He had calmed down, thankfully, as he drove slowly down the dirt road. The car was silent, as Sebastian had turned the radio off immediately after the rain got too heavy for him to concentrate. He drove for a few more miles, stopping once they reached a fork in the road.

          "Which way?"

Grace checked her phone once more. "Left."

And so he hit the gas to make a left, but the car didn't move. He scrunched his eyebrows, pressing the gas further — nothing. He groaned, switching the car off before throwing the door open and exiting the car altogether.

Grace's eyes widened as he shut the door behind him. "Sebastian!" she yelled once she opened the door and got out after him. "It's pouring! What are you doing?"

"We're stuck," was all he said, his hands weaving their way into his, now wet, hair. Grace rose a brow, marching to the back of the car, and sure enough, they were stuck.

"Yeah," she muttered. "Stuck and wet."

"We should probably get back in the car," he suggested, waving his hand towards the vehicle. Grace nodded, agreeing with him as they both got back into the car, their clothes sticking to their skin.

Almost immediately, Grace reached down and peeled her shoes off. They were drenched, and so were the rest of her clothes. Soon enough, Grace had peeled off all of the clothing that was layered more than once, now leaving her in a tank-top and her shorts. Sebastian had done the same thing, except he only sported a pair of his Nike shorts.

He rolled his seat as far back as he could, then tilting it down to where it laid back nicely. Grace didn't move her seat, instead she crossed her legs and rested her head against the headrest, closing her eyes and muttering, "I'm cold."

"I know a few ways we could warm up," she heard him say, and she could practically hear the smirk in his voice. He wasn't going to turn the car on, and she knew that. They needed to preserve the battery and the gas.

She scoffed, opening her eyes and facing him. She was right — he was smirking. "I'm not having sex in a car."

"I never said anything about sex, but if you insist—"

            "No."

"Fine," he pouted. "But you can at least come over here and lay with me. I'm cold, too."

She looked over her shoulder at him, biting her lip as she thought about it. After a moment, she happily crawled into his seat beside him — well, more like onto him, because his damn seat was not made for more than one person.

So she laid there, her stomach on his stomach, and her palms flat on his chest with her chin resting perfectly against her hands. His eyes were closed, and she was watching him. He looked so peaceful, lying there, not really having much to worry about. Blissful.

"You're staring," he mumbled, cracking an eye open and chuckling before closing it again.

            "I'm not."

            "Totally staring."

            "Totally not staring."

            "Okay, so gazing."

"More like watching with pure boredom," she said. "You're the one that asked me over here, and I know for a fact that it wasn't to keep you warm."

"...What are you suggesting?"

"Hm, I don't know," Grace hummed, pressing her hands onto his chest in order to sit herself up. Her legs straddled his waist, a tiny smirk making its way across her face. "Something a little more...fun."

Sebastian's eyes lit up, a devilish smirk taking over his face. He watched as Grace's hands lifted from his chest, slowly tracing over him until they rested on either side of his head. She leaned down, pressing a kiss to his neck, slowly traveling towards his mouth, where she latched her lips onto his.

Sebastian gripped her waist, his hands fondling the small amount of warm skin that peeked out from her tank-top as her hands moved to rest on his jawline. He couldn't help but to lightly smile into the kiss when he felt the goosebumps rise on her skin. He had done that.

It wasn't long until his lips left hers, trailing kisses along her jaw and then to her neck. He finally rested again just behind her ear, his teeth grazing her skin and making her let out a small breathy sigh.

And as if he was trying to create a mark and completely leave her flustered against him, he continued to kiss and let his teeth graze her skin in that place for a little while longer. As soon as he was content with his work, he pulled away and smirked at the small bruise he left behind her ear. His breath tickled her ear as it caressed her newly formed hickey, and Grace's mouth dropped as she pulled away to look at her boyfriend.

"You did not just do that."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"You're unbelievable."

And then her lips were on his again, the two going no further than where they were until the rain stopped and they could continue their journey.
