Since last year's tournament went so well, we've decided to do the same thing again this year!

This will be a one shot contest consisting of two rounds. The first round is open to everyone who signs up between now and the time when the first entry is due. Depending on how many contestants we have, we'll then eliminate a certain number and have the top contestants from round one compete in the finals.

Each entry must be a one shot of no more than 3000 words and must be sent through email to gottareademallclub at gmail.com (preferred) or copy and pasted and sent through private message to the GRA account (only if you absolutely can't email because that's obviously a lot more work for both of us!). They must be Pokémon fanfics and must follow the content guidelines of Wattpad.

The entries will be posted here in our tournament book, where everyone can read them in one convenient place and the authors will be anonymous in order to ensure fair judging (note that the GRA admin will know which is which because she'll have to publish them, but we hope you find her trustworthy!). The authors of the entries are free to publish them on their own accounts as soon as the results for that round are announced, although they are encouraged to take advantage of the feedback they receive (comments left by normal readers as well as what the judges have to say during the live stream) in order to publish an improved version of their one shots.

Full Schedule

Both prompts released: June 15th

First round entries due: June 26th (midnight CST)

Results live stream: July 6th or 7th

Second round entries due: July 13th (midnight CST)

Final results live stream: July 20th or 21st

Prompts for both rounds will be released at the same time so you can start on the second one shot early if you're feeling confident! This should be especially helpful for anyone who's going to be available for the first part of the competition but travelling during the second, since you can submit both entries whenever you have them ready (if you submit the second one early and don't make it to the second round, at least you have a new one shot to publish on your own account!).

The live streams will be available as videos on our YouTube page (find a link on the PWA website or at the bottom of our profile) as soon as they are done. We will also be posting the results right here for anyone who can't watch the full videos for whatever reason, although we definitely encourage you to do so in order to get feedback on your entry!

* The winner of the special prize will be chosen at random and can pick any one of zir fanfics to be edited, assuming that it does not include sexually explicit content or anything in violation of Wattpad's content guidelines. No lemons. No X Readers. The fanfic doesn't have to be completed, but dste will only edit as much of the story as is finished at the time the prize is awarded.
