Hello everyone! Yes, here at the GRA, we are hosting a Pokemon competition.

The competition consists of writing Pokemon one-shots of a certain theme, which will be given to you by us.

There are sixteen contestants in each competition. This isn't a simple judging contest, though, it's more of a tournament! So, basically, there are different "rounds". In each round, the contestants will be paired up to "battle" each other - battle as in write their one-shots, and the judges determine which one is better. The one judged higher, obviously, wins.

So, all of the winners will end up moving to the next round, and the losers are out of the contest. This will keep on going on, until it just two contestants are left - that will be the final battle between them, and whoever wins is the official winner of the contest.

Perhaps it would be better understood through examples:

There are twelve competitors. During the first round, it would go like this:

User1 VS User2

User3 VS User4

User5 VS User6

User7 VS User8

User9 VS User10

User11 VS User12

User13 VS User14

User15 VS User16

So, each of these contestants battle. Let's say (just an example!) that in this case, all the users on the left win. So, the contestants left are now User1, User3, User5, User7, User9, User11, User13 and User15. Those are the ones who've won their battles, so the rest, who've lost, are now out of the tournament.

And so, they move on to the second round:

User1 VS User3

User5 VS User7

User9 VS User11

User13 VS User15

Now let's say this time all the users on the right side win. So, the remaining users, the ones who've made it through this round, are: User3, User7, User11 and User15. All the rest, who've lost, are eliminated.

That's round two! Onto round three:

User3 VS User7

User11 VS User15

Let's say this time the users on the left win. The users left are: User3 and User11. All the rest lost, and are now out of the contest.

That's round three!

And now - there's only two users left, so it's the ultimate finale: round four!

User3 VS User11

Let's say User11 wins. User3 lost thus is out of the contest, so now User11 won the final round and is the winner of the entire tournament! And that marks the end of it.

Each tournament has an overall theme, for example, one theme could be "water", or "research", "beginnings", etc.

With each round, you will be given a prompt to write about. You MUST follow this prompt or you will be disqualified from the tournament.

Rules:

- Entry must follow the prompt

- No heavy language

- No sexual themes

- Racism, sexism, homophobia, or any form of prejudice is not allowed

- Absolutely NO plagiarism whatsoever. Even if you have permission from someone else to use their writing, it's NOT, I repeat, NOT allowed. It must be yours.

- Must be submitted by the deadline

- Keep it one part, maximum of 6 (Wattpad) pages

- PLEAAAASE don't get upset if you lose

- Try your best, and have fun of course!

1st place - a public review of your book, a follow from all the members, a shout-out

2nd place - a private review of your book by all the critics, a follow from Helsu and Ivy, a shout-out

3rd place - a private review from two critics, a shout-out
