As Gotrek and Felix found themselves surrounded by Coven Guards, Gotrek was surveying the area, anticipating the fight ahead. Felix knew that a battle would break out and it would be Gotrek that would instigate it. 

Coven Guard: You two are coming with us!

Gotrek: Oh really? I'd like to see you try? 

Coven Guard: I would personally cut off your head if it stood a little higher from the ground!

Without warning, Gotrek grabs a table and throws it at some of the Coven Guards. Before the other Coven Guards could respond, Gotrek lands a devastating strike on a Coven Guard with his Axe. 

Gotrek: Let's see if these lot are going to be a challenge, Manling!

Felix: As you say, Gotrek!

A Coven Guard attacks Felix, but Felix parries the strike and lands a thrust on the Coven Guard, killing him. By this point, chaos erupted on the streets of Bonesborough the Gotrek and Felix brawled with the Coven Guards. Eda watched with interested as the two adventurers cut through the Coven Guards with ease. 

Felix: This enough of a challenge for you, Gotrek?

Gotrek: Hardly! I'm hardly breaking a sweat! 

Coven Guard: Damn you! 

The Coven Guard charges at Felix, but Felix blocks the strike and pushes him towards Gotrek who cuts him down with his Axe. By this point, more Coven Guards arrive. Without hesitation, Gotrek charges in and attacks the group head on. Felix takes a moment to catch his breath and joins in. 

Coven Captain: I'll deliver your heads to the Emperor for this! 

Gotrek: Go ahead. I want you to try!

Gotek continued to cleave his way through the Coven Guards. The Coven Guards were taken aback by the sheer ferocity someone Gotrek's size had. Felix soon joined in and helped Gotrek thin the herd. At this point, the Coven Guards were either dead or wounded. Only the Captain remained. 

Coven Captain: You dare attack members of the Emperor's Coven?! I'll have your heads for this!

The Coven Captain charged at Gotrek and Felix, but the two adventurers were able to keep the Captain at bay. During all of this, Eda watched all of this go down. It wasn't long before Luz Noceda and King arrived. 

Luz: Hey Eda! Sorry I'm late! King wanted to check out the.....

Luz looks to see the brawl happening across from Eda's stand. 

Luz: What the heck is going on?

Eda: A couple of Belos's goons came in and started messing with those two.....adventurers over there. They're really tearing into them. 

Luz: Whoa....

King: Looks exciting! I shall join!

Eda: I wouldn't if I were you, King. There's something about that little guy.....

Back at the brawl, Gotrek began pressing the attack on the Coven Captain. The Coven Captain eventually uses Fire Glyphs to try and even the odds. This only brought a smile to Gotrek. 

Gotrek: Bringing magic to the mix now? Now you're putting up a fight!

The Coven Captain used a Fire Glyph to launch a fireball at Gotrek, but the Slayer blocks the fireball with his Axe. Before the Coven Guard could respond, Felix steps in and attacks with his sword. The Coven Captain was able to parry Felix's strike and kick him back a couple of feet away. But this offense was short lived as Gotrek swings his Axe at the Coven Captain. The Coven Captain attempts to use more Glyphs, but Gotrek severs the Captain's left hand with his Axe. The Coven Captain screams in pain as he falls to his knee. 

Coven Captain: What in the Titan's name are you?! 

Gotrek: I am Gotrek. 

At this point, Gotrek begins moving towards the Coven Captain. Gripped with fear, the Coven Captain begins running away, pushing through a crowd of citizens. 

Coven Captain: GET OUT OF MY WAY!

The Coven Captain then flees the scene. As the Coven Captain flees, the crowd turn their eyes at Gotrek and Felix. Felix quickly realized that this skirmish would no doubt bring in unwanted attention. 

Felix: I think we should leave. 

Gotrek: I say we stay here. Wait for the real fight to begin. 

Eda: Hold it right there, Slayer. 

Upon hearing this, Gotrek and Felix turned to Eda, surprised that she knew of what Gotrek was. 

Felix: You know of the Slayers? 

Eda: After watching that fight, it's kinda obvious. I'm gonna guess that you two are.....far from home? 

Felix: In a manner of speaking. 

Eda: Alright. Well this little.....brawl of yours is gonna be drawing a whole lot of attention. Now as much as I would love to stick around and fight more of the Emperor's dorks, we might not want to stick around for that. 

At this point, Gotrek was more than willing to stay behind and fight the whatever reinforcements would arrive. Knowing Gotrek would see this as the perfect place as a last stand, Felix finds a way to persuade. 

Felix: Gotrek, perhaps this....maiden could help us find a way back home and get you the glorious death you desire? 

Gotrek takes a moment to process this. After a moment, Gotrek laughs.

Gotrek: Aye, Manling! It would be a shame if I were to die here and leave you no way recall my tale!

Gotrek and Felix join Eda and the others in leaving the streets of Bonesborough before reinforcements from the Emperor's Coven arrived. And with that, Gotrek and Felix had survived their first skirmish within the Boiling Isles. What they didn't realize was that a greater and more dangerous adventure would await them.
