I set back in my chair as I waited for Gordon to come into the room. I was handcuffed to the table in the interrogation room. I heard the door open and looked up to see Gordon walk in with a folder.

"(Y/n). You can make this easy if you tell me the truth." He said softly.

"Where do you want me to start?" I asked softly.

"From the beginning." He said calmly.

"I was twelve when I first met them both, it was my first time going to a circus....."

"Mom hurry up! I can't wait to see the animals!" I exclaimed as I ran.

"Slow down (y/n)!" My mother yelled as she chased after me.

I kept running for awhile until I ran into someone. I looked up and saw a boy with ginger hair.

"Are you okay?" He asked helping me up.

"Yea sorry about running into you." I said softly.

"That's alright. I'm Jeremiah Valeska and you are?"

"(Y/n) Kean ." I said softly.

"It's nice to meet you (y/n)." He said with a smile.

I smiled back as he showed me around the circus and then we went into the tent and watched all of the animals.

"That was awesome I can't believe I got to watch everything from backstage." I said happily.

"Come on I'll show you my mom's python." He said grabbing my hand.

I laughed as we made it to his trailer and looked at the python.

"Wow it's beautiful." I said with a smile.

"Yea. I gotta say this has been really fun. My brother and me never have this much fun." He said with a smile.

"Same me and my sister don't have a lot of fun together either."

"It wasn't long before my mom found me and we went home, but I kept going to the circus until I was sixteen and Jeremiah told me he was leaving." I said looking up at Gordon.

"(Y/n) over here!" Jeremiah yelled as I walked through the circus.

"Jeremiah it's good to see you again." I said happily.

"Follow me." He said grabbing my hand and running out of the circus.

"Where are we going?" I asked with a laugh.

"You'll see." He said with a smile.

We made it to a hill and I smiled as I saw a basket and a blanket.

"What is this for?" I asked with a smile.

"Alright don't be mad, but I'm leaving the circus." He said bitting his lip.

"And going where?" I asked sadly.

"Away from here. I don't know how long I'll be gone, but I promise I'll see you again." He said softly.

"Alright, but I'm holding that against you Jeremiah." I said with a smile.

He smiled as he tickled my sides and I burst out laughing. I smiled as Jeremiah stopped tickling me and looked down at me. He moved some hair out of my face and leaned down.

"Jeremiah!" A voice yelled.

"I gotta go that's Jerome." Jeremiah said as he stood up and ran away.

"Goodbye." I whispered sadly.

"That was the last time I saw Jeremiah." I said leaning back in my seat.

"Really then why did someone place you at the scene of the crime working with Jeremiah?" Gordon asked calmly.

"Really and where is your witness?" I asked saith a smile.

"Outside." He said calmly.

"Are you sure?" I asked with a smirk.

Harvey came in and I smiled as he whispered something into Gordon's ear.

"You are free to go." Gordon said annoyed.

I smiled as I was I cuffed and allowed to leave. I walked out of the station and walked down the street.

I had just turned twenty and was on my way home when I was grabbed. I had a bag on my head and was tied to a chair. I could hear people talking but didn't recognize it. The bag was taken off my head and I looked up to see the Penguin.

"What do you want with me?" I asked angrily.

"Revenge on Barbara." He said with a smirk.

"Of course you want revenge on my sister. Alright give me a phone." I said annoyed.

He handed it to me and I called Barbara and told her where I was and who had me. After awhile Barbara showed up and I waved to her. I let out a groan as Penguin put a gun to my head.

"Yo hare going to do what I say or your sister dies." Penguin said angrily.

"I wouldn't do that if I was you." A voice said.

I turned to see a guy in a suit and hat. I couldn't see his face but I could tell Penguin was afraid of him.

"Why do you care what happens to her?" Penguin asked shocked.

"Yea why do you care what happens to my sister?" Barbara asked confused.

"That isn't any of your concern. Now let her go or my men will set off a bomb." The man said with a smile.

Penguin untied me and I stood up and turned to look at the guy.

"Thanks..... whoever you are." I said softly.

"I'd think you would remember me (y/n)." He said taking off his hat.

"Jeremiah?" I asked shocked.

I made my way to my house and smiled as I walked inside to see Echo washing the dishes.

"How was jail?" She asked with a smile.

"Boring is J home?" I asked with a smile.

She pointed to the bedroom and I put my stuff down and walked into the room to see Jeremiah looking down at his map.

"How's it going?" I asked with a smile.

"I still don't see how they could have beat me. I thought everything through." He said turning to face me.

"Maybe someone is talking." I said softly.

"Why do you think that?" He asked looking down at me.

"I was at the station in handcuffs because someone said I was working with you. Only a few people know about us working together." I said moving my hand up his chest.

"I'll find out who put you in those handcuffs, and make them pay." He said taking my hands in his and kissing them.

"Don't worry, just be very careful with who you trust. And you owe me big time." I said wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Don't worry I will make it up to you." He said with a smirk as he leaned down and kissed me deeply.
