Tricky Mission

The Gotham Avengers were used to doing missions in Gotham City that involved Rogues that would require more than just Batman. And so far the reception to the Gotham Avengers was positive. One day, the Gotham Avengers were at their tower, hanging out. Peter, Virgil, and Piotr were playing cards. Barbara and Dinah were in the training room, and Jessica and Claire were playing with Dani. Suddenly, the alarm went off. The Gotham Avengers then ran towards the computer to see what was going on. "The Trickster's in Gotham," said Barbara, "and he's brought an army of robot clowns. Bruce's stated that he might need us. Come on Avengers, let's suit up and get into Excelsior! Let's move!" Peter nodded and said, "On it boss!" Barbara put on her Batwoman costume, Peter put on his Spider-Man costume, Dinah put on her Black Canary costume, Piotr put on his X-Men costume and turned into his metallic form, Virgil put on his Static costume, and Jessica put on her Power-Woman costume. The Gotham Avengers then ran to their mode of transportation, which they called Excelsior! Since none of them could fly, the six heroes went into Excelsior and drove off, with Claire to take care of Dani. Excelsior started out as a prototype Batmobile, but when the Gotham Avengers were formed, Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark decided to tinker with it, with some help from Peter and Barbara. The car was made with vibranium and adamantium, which made it bulletproof and fireproof, and also acid-proof. Excelsior was wide enough to fit 6 people, and could withstand the weight of of Colossus, and was thus unbreakable.

Meanwhile, on Burton Street, James Jesse The Trickster was causing mayhem in Gotham. The Trickster's robots wreaked havoc as he laughed maniacally. "Fly my pretties, fly!" he cackled, "Gotham will kneel before The Trickster! I'm the new Joker in town!" While he was laughing, Excelsior then parked, and the Gotham Avengers came out. "How many robots you think there are?" asked Static. "Probably 500," said Spider-Man, "Game Plan, Batwoman?"

"We can split it 5 by 100," said Batwoman, "Spider-Man, you deal with the robots up north. Static, you're on Spider-Man's left. Power-Woman, you're with Static. Canary you're on Spider-Man's right. Colossus you're with Canary. Destroy the robots and see to it they cause no civilian casualties. I'll deal with The Trickster. Any questions?"

"None whatsoever," said Power-Woman. "Alright then, let's do this team!" Batwoman shouted, and the five heroes behind her did exactly what she said. Batwoman then faced The Trickster herself. "Batgirl, is that a new costume?" asked Trickster. "Yeah," replied Batwoman, "and I'm no longer Batgirl! I go by Batwoman now, you third-rate Joker!"

"Well that's nice," said Trickster, "say hello to my friend Captain Clown!" And right as he said that, a giant robot clown wearing a sailor's outfit walked in. Batwoman got out an adamantium batarang, and threw it at Captain Clown, decapitating the machine, and the batarang flew back to her. Trickster gasped in horror. "You killed Captain Clown..." he said, then got angry, "YOU KILLED CAPTAIN CLOWN!" He then threw a cream pie in Batwoman's face, going SPLAT! Trickster laughed. Batwoman got the pie tin out of her face, and wiped the cream out of her face, scowling. "That does it," she said, "I'm fighting dirty!" And that's what she did.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man used his webbing and his amazing powers to take out the clown robots. Static used his electromagnetic powers to electrocute the clown robots to a point where it was so much electricity, they exploded! Power-Woman used her strength to smash the robots, and she would often leap and land on the robots with her feet smashing them. It was a good thing her boots were steel toed. If not, her feet would probably hurt. Black Canary kicked back the robots, and when the bots wouldn't stay down, she used her Canary Cry to destroy them. "Hope my sonic scream ain't disturbing you Colossus!" she said. "I've heard worse things," said Colossus. The bots didn't pierce his metallic skin, and Colossus smashed them with his mighty strength. Batwoman was still fighting The Trickster. "Look, I don't hit girls," protested Trickster. "Too bad," said Batwoman as she continued to fight him.

Batwoman then kicked Trickster right in the nuts. And down he went. By now, all the clown robots were destroyed. Everyone was exhausted. "Did we win?" asked an exhausted Spider-Man. "Yeah, we did Spidey," said a satisfied Batwoman, "good job team."
