Gotham
The plane ride from Vixenford to Gotham bored Miss Anne so much she needed a drink. Elizabeth was drawing a picture of what her family might look like. Glancing at it, Miss Anne smiled into her Tequila. Elizabeth drew four stick figures. One had two lines of yellow for hair, and two blue dots for eyes. Miss Anne presumed her to be the mother. She had a pink triangle dress and a big smile. Another was taller than the mom and had spiky brown hair. He wore nothing but he had green rectangles in his hand. Two brown dots for his eyes and he wore a frown. Looking at the third one, Miss Anne debunked it as Elizabeth. The stick figure had brown hair and green eyes but had a blue triangle dress on. The last figure looked like a boy stick figure with spiky yellow hair and blue eyes. He had nothing on but had a teddy bear in hand. At the top it said Eliza's Family. "That's swe..." Something shook the plane. Screaming, passengers hung onto their seats. An announcer was yelling orders. "Go to the back to receive a parachute. This is not a drill! Leave all your luggage behind! We're going down!" Miss Anne grabbed Elizabeth's hand. They were getting their parachute when Eliza let go of her hand. "I need Tigerstar!" She ran back to their seat. "Elizabeth!" Miss Anne called. "Miss you have to go." A line formed behind Miss Anne. "Damnit." She muttered. She jumped out the door. Elizabeth was going through her bag when the plane shook again. The pilot and staff ran past her without a second glance and were jumping out the door. "There!" She grabbed a stuffed animal. It was a light brown cat with white paws and dark brown stripes. The cat looked like Tigerstar from Warriors by Erin Hunter. Elizabeth clutched the cat and ran to the back. "Oh no..." Elizabeth whispered. There were no more Parachutes. The door opened again and a man dressed in black looked at her. "Come with me." She looked up to him. "Miss Anne always said not to go with strangers." A faint ghost of a smile crept on his face. "Smart kid...stubborn but smart." He grabbed Elizabeth's waist, and she hugged his neck. He jumped out of the door. The wind blew Elizabeth's hair around. The man landed on the ground. "Thank you sir." She looked up at him with her deep green eyes. He looked down at her. "Next time leave the cat." His ghost smile disappeared. "Here have this." She handed him her locket. It had the pictures of her mother and brother. "No I shouldn't...." She silenced him with a hand. "You saved my life. The least I can do is give you that. I can now get a better family than my...other one." She swallowed hard. "Elizabeth!" Miss Anne was rushing towards her. "Miss Anne this man saved my life!" She pointed behind her. "What man?" Miss Anne asked. Looking behind her, Elizabeth saw that no one was there. She glanced up to she him gliding away, her locket gleamed in the moonlight. She smiled slightly. "It's nothing." Miss Anne looked shaken. The pilot came over to us. "Who was that man?" "We call him Batman." He said in a low whisper. A large explosion came from the bay. "Sorry about your plane sir." Elizabeth said. "Things like this happen." He walked away, calling over his shoulder. "Welcome to Gotham kid."
