(Yn POV)

I am with Mei while teaching me how to cook at the dorms. Oh, boy. Already cut myself multiple times end up with bandages. Mei told me not try to hard and cooking it's not that complicated. Pfft, tell that to people who'd can't cook! Mei started cutting the carrots as I observe her techniques.

Evening

Mei: And there.

Yn: Wow. You sure know how to cook.

Mei: Do you do any cooking back home?

Yn: In matter of fact I have.

Mei: Instant Ramen doesn't count.

Yn: Damn it! How do you know what I'm gonna say? Are you some type of esper?!

Mei (smile nervously): Your just easy to read. An open book.

I chuckle nervously. Mei let's me take over the cutting these carrots.

*Cut x4*

Yn: Am I doing right?

Mei: Hmmm...just a bit. Here. Let me help you.

Mei places both of her hands on top of mine with her soft cushions pressing against my back. My cheeks turn red and my heart began to race!

Yn: 'Hold up! Is this a intimate moment where a boy and a girl get...'.

Mei: Yn?

I startled trying to keep certain thoughts in my head.

Yn: Sorry. I-I space out.

She raise a brow.

Mei: Okay? Here.

Mei guided me with her hands to cut the carrots. She actually smell really nice..... No! No! No! Calm down, dude! Don't make things weird! But at the same time....

Yn: 'This feels really nice. Alone with a cute girl and teaching me how to cook... Pretty sure guy would be happy'!

(Mei POV)

I kept teaching Yn how to cook to see him working really hard. He puts a lot of effort into anything what he does. I remember when Yn said I'll become a great wife someday. It made me happy. Yn made come off as a odd sometimes. Yet, he's someone you'd can feel more relax and smile. Him being changed things for us. After a while we finished a few dishes from our effort of cooking the lasagna, made some salad and chocolate cake.

Yn: Wow! LOOK SO GOOD! I gotta try this out.

Yn slices the lasagna then put it on a plate. Next he uses the fork to take a bite of it. Took a bit of it as well.

Yn: So good!

Mei: You did great. There was some set backs. Looks like you're getting the hang of it.

Yn (smile): Hey, I can't take all the credit. You were the one teaching me how to cook. So, I wanted to say thank you, Mei. Your amazing.

Mei: I don't think I'm that amazing. I've always tried my best with cooking, classes, combat and everything else. Do think you're amazing too.

Yn: Me, amazing? Not really. I am just an average joe. Although I do workout, help around the cleaning a bit from back home and my grades are average so....yeah. Honestly you're great. Your really smart, awesome, kick ass, pretty and really nice.

My heart is racing from his words. My whole face absolutely red, grip my apron and look down because....wait..... do I really like him? I remember back then I've felt disappointed when said it's not a date, it is just hanging out and teaching him how to cook.

Yn: Ummm....earth to Mei.

Mei: Eh?

I snap out of my thoughts after he called out to me.

Yn: You okay? What's up?

Mei: N-no. Let's share this with Bronya and Kiana.

Yn: Alrighty. I'll clean up here. Why not go wash up?

Mei: Thank you.

Headed to the bath to clean up while laying in the tub with a small sound of relief. My thoughts were about Yn of how nice he is, considerate and sweet. Before I do anything I must be sure what I'm feeling is true.

Mei: 'Yn'.

Just thinking of him makes me happy. I decided to make to get even stronger because there's another person I'd wanted to protect like with Kiana and everyone else. Bronya and Kiana showed up for dinner after coming from training.

Kiana: So good!

Bronya: Da.

Mei: Believe it or not. It was Yn who cooked it.

He scratches his head and chuckle a bit.

Yn: Well, I can't take all the credit. Mei was the one who taught me to cook and she was an awesome teacher.

Mei (smile): I think your awesome as well.

Kiana (irritated): 'What is this feeling? I don't like it'!

Bronya (irritated): 'Bronya does not like this feeling'.

Yn (💦): 'Why do I get the feeling the atmosphere in here became intense'?
