So here's a time skip. I really wanted to get to this part of the story. Sorry it wasn't really eventful, the three moons.

⠀⠀  Gorsekit's tail-tip quivered with anticipation. He didn't even care to protest as Cloverrain pulled him close and began to cover him with swift quick licks. Today was the day he was waiting for the last three moons. His apprentice ceremony! However, he was sharing this special day with the twins Poppykit and Dandelionkit, as well with the apprentices Sedgepaw, Fennelpaw, and Tinypaw. Not that he minded.

⠀⠀  "I want my mentor to be Cardinalstar!" Copperkit declared as Gorsekit sat with her, Flintkit, and Plumkit. Gorsekit chuckled. It was a tall order, there were enough warriors to mentor them. Cardinalstar usually only apprenticed kits when there was no other warriors available. But that wasn't the case here. Copperkit would probably get Rowanblaze, he was a very powerful warrior.

⠀⠀  Flintkit flicked an ear. "Don't be silly," Flintkit snorted, shaking his head, "Cardinalstar wouldn't choose you. We all know I'm the prime candidate, anyway." Copperkit growled playfully and pounced onto him, both of them tussling each other in the dirt. Copperkit purred with amusement.

⠀⠀ "You two are ridiculous! Cardinalstar isn't gonna choose any of you as her apprentice," Gorsekit jested. He froze as his littermates broke up their fighting and stared at him. He chuckled nervously. Then, both Flintkit and Copperkit tackled him.

⠀⠀ The three of them rolled all over the camp floor, nipping and spitting playfully at each other. They then rolled into the paws of a grown warrior. The three of them immediately stood up straight, gazing up at the warrior. It was... Snowpoppy?

⠀⠀ Patches of fur were missing from her pelt, and one of her eyes were clawed out. Even her remaining fur was tattered. Shivers travelled up Gorsekit's spine. It greatly disturbed him that Snowpoppy had once claimed the title as the strongest and prettiest warrior in all the Clans.

⠀⠀ "Aren't you suppose to be watching the ceremony?" Snowpoppy purred in her raspy, shaky voice. Gorsekit made a face. He bet Snowpoppy was six hundred million moons old. She was alive when Calappastar was still alive-- The leader before Cardinalstar's preceder.

⠀⠀ "But it's so boring. I thought we were going first," Copperkit muttered. Obviously, Snowpoppy was confused.

⠀⠀ "Didn't you see Plumkit-- er-- Plumpaw go up?" she asked. The kits looked at each other and gasped. Gorsekit flinched once he heard Cloverrain's voice.

⠀⠀ "What are you three doing? Cardinalstar was calling for you, Gorsekit!" Cloverrain snapped. Gorsekit's eyes glanced to her side. Everyone in the Clan was looking at him expectantly. He looked down at his paws, embarrassed.

⠀⠀ "U-uh.... Yeah," Gorsekit murmured, rushing through the crowd. He jumped from Bottom Rock to Upper Rock. Cardinalstar sighed, and Gorsekit felt shame rise beneath his pelt. He didn't raise his gaze from the ground.

⠀⠀ "...Gorsekit, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Gorsepaw," Cardinalstar meowed. Gorsekit-- Gorsepaw-- gazed over the Clan. Who will his mentor be? He saw Plumpaw sitting beside her new mentor, Firepoppy. He hopes he'll get a mentor as fun as Firepoppy!

⠀⠀ "And your mentor will be me," Cardinalstar announced. Gasps rippled through the Clan. Even Cranepaw, Hazelpaw, and Heatherpaw were surprised. Gorsekit stared at her with widened eyes. No way!

⠀⠀ "You don't deserve to be Cardinalstar's apprentice!" Flintpaw sneered. Plumpaw just flat out ignored him. The new apprentices were sitting with their mentors. Flintpaw got Thunderecho, Plumpaw got Firepoppy, and Copperpaw got Rainfeather. For the twins, Poppypaw got Splashdawn and Dandelionpaw got Bramblebush.

⠀⠀ "Yeah, what's so special about you?" the twins growled in unison. Gorsepaw didn't know himself. There were other warriors that could've been his mentor. Copperpaw was looking at him, her expression pitiful. She laid her tail on his shoulder.

⠀⠀ "Well, I know that Cardinalstar made the right choice," Copperpaw purred. Gorsepaw smiled at her. Suddenly, the whole Clan began crowding around them. Tinyfrost, Fennelstem, and Sedgebloom, the new warriors, walked up to them first.

⠀⠀ "Congragulations! Especially you, Gorsepaw! That shocked us all. It's been forever," Fennelstem stressed the syllables, "Since Cardinalstar has had an apprentice." Gorsepaw licked his chest fur, trying to hide his embarrassment.

⠀⠀ "Yeah, well, it's nothing," he chuckled sheepishly, trying to convince himself that it was true. Tinyfrost's eyes grew. He stared up at Gorsepaw.

⠀⠀ ""Nothing"?! Are you insane? It's everything!" Tinyfrost practically pushed Gorsepaw off his paws as he jumped up, pushing his paws on his chest.

⠀⠀ Once the crowd dispersed, Cranepaw and his "gang" padded up to them, not looking happy. All of the apprentices froze. Gorsepaw gulped. What were they gonna say...?

⠀⠀ Then, Cranepaw smiled. "Congragulations, you guys! You're finally apprentices, you're mentors have been chosen right!" he cheered. The new apprentices sighed in relief. Gorsepaw never felt any more relieved. Of course, they're apprentices now! That means they wouldn't be mean to them. Of course, that's what he though at first.

⠀⠀ "Especially you, Flowerkit," Cranepaw sneered. "You think you're better because you're mentor is Cardinalstar? Well, wake  up, Flowerkit, because you aren't!" Gorsepaw snarled and dug his claws into the dirt. He opened his maw to snap back, but Cardinalstar came up behind Cranepaw, Hazelpaw, and Heatherpaw.

⠀⠀"Well, actually you three, I think I hear the elders calling your name to clean their bedding," Cardinalstar remarked dryly. Cranepaw, Hazelpaw, and Heatherpaw all gasped and whipped around. They growled, glancing at Gorsepaw, before stalking off to the elders' den.

⠀⠀Cardinalstar sighed and turned to Gorsepaw and the others. "Gorsepaw, you and your siblings are going to explore the territory ," Cardinalstar purred, flicking the tip of her tail. Gorsepaw looked up at her, confused.

⠀⠀ "What about Poppypaw and Dandelionpaw?" he questioned. Cardinalstar looked at their mentors. Splashdawn and Bramblebush looked at each other. They shook their heads, much to Poppypaw and Dandelionpaw's disappointment.

⠀⠀"We're going to teach the twins the basics of hunting," Splashdawn explained. Immediately, their spirits were lifted and they dashed out of canp.

⠀⠀"Wait you two!-- ugh. Well, see you later at camp," Bramblebush sighed. He and Splashdawn raced after the twins. Gorsepaw purred with amusement.

⠀⠀Cardinalstar smiled at the apprentices. "We should get going don't you think?"

⠀⠀Once the group was outside, the littermates immediately started chatting and joking around.

⠀⠀"I can't wait to see Coral Beach! The warriors in camp say it's beautiful," Plumpaw purred in awe. Flintpaw rolled his eyes and cuffed her over the ear.

⠀⠀"It's just overgrown coral. I don't see what's so exciting. It's probably prettier then you, anyway," Flintpaw teased. Gorsepaw laughed and nudged Flintpaw playfully.

⠀⠀"Well, if it's prettier then Plumpaw, then it's definitely prettier than you!" Gorsepaw teased. Flintpaw growled playfully, and the two brothers started play fighting. Thunderecho laughed and broke them apart.

⠀⠀"You all will see Coral Beach soon enough. Right now, though, we're in Littlewhite Forest, named after its birch trees. It's the home of our camp," Thunderecho explained. Gorsepaw flicked his tail and his gaze looked over the stone floor. All the trees were sprouting out of chasms in the stone.

⠀⠀"Aren't the trees growing out of cracks in the ground, though?" Copperpaw asked. Rainfeather purred and nodded, impressed.

⠀⠀"Great observation, Copperpaw. Yes, they are. Also in those cracks are where we gather clams and limpets. Crabs and snails also live here!" Rainfeather explained. Gorsepaw's eyes widened. They found limpets underground? He was surprised. He loved limpets! How could they taste good if they came from the ground?

⠀⠀"Let's move on. Do you all here that rushing water?"  Firepoppy asked. Gorsepaw's ears twitched. Very faintly, he could hear the sound of water pounding against rocks.

⠀⠀Gorsepaw signaled his tail in the direction the sound was coming from. "Is that it?" he asked. Cardinalstar nodded with approval. Gorsepaw felt himself swell with pride.

⠀⠀"Great job, Gorsepaw. Yes, that's Snake River," Cardinalstar purred. Plumpaw started jumping up and down in a frenzy. She seemed ecstatic.

⠀⠀"Can we go check it out? Plea-a-a-se?" Plumpaw pleaded. Firepoppy grinned widely.

⠀⠀"I like your enthusiasm! Let's go," Firpoppy purred. Flintpaw purred and dashed off. Gorsepaw, Plumpaw, and Copperpaw raced after him. They laughed as they tried to catch up.

⠀⠀"Hey! Wait up!" Plumpaw called. Gorsepaw was so excited. He was finally an apprentice! He loved the feel of the breeze as it ran through his pelt. He couldn't wait to play with his littermates outside of camp. Who could think of anything better to do?

⠀⠀The apprentices skidded to a hault. Gorsepaw panted, trying to catch his breath. His ears flickered. Snake River was so loud. The river curved, and the start looked as if it came in the direction of the ocean.  There were five rocks that made a bridge to the other side. Some of the current rushed over the sides.

⠀⠀Their mentors soon caught up with them. Cardinalstar looked over the river, then at the apprentices who were dumbstruck. Gorsepaw especially. He wondered, what would happen if you were to fall in?

⠀⠀As if she read his mind, Cardinalstar told the apprentices, "To fall in the water would be incredibly dangerous. the current would pull you downstream, and it's so strong that it could pull you under. If you don't die by drowning or ramming into a rock or the rocky river floor, the sharp peices of rock broken off the bigger rocks will pierce and rip your skin."

⠀⠀Gorsepaw shivered. He hoped he'll never fall into the river.

⠀⠀"Now, if you continue that way," Rainfeather flicked her tail towards the south, "You'll find the Hot Springs. ChasmClan usually uses them to relax, but you apprentices are free to play in them... As long as it's not disturbing anyone. If you then turn to the left, you'll find Jagged Rocks, another place for prey as well as herbs. It's also the border to FleetClan. To the east of our territory, you'll find the Stone Hill. But you guys wanted to see Coral Beach, right?" The apprentices nodded vigorously. "Then follow our lead."

⠀⠀One by one, the warriors carefully jumped from one rock to the next. First, it was Rainfeather. She was quick, jumping swiftly to one rock after another until she was on the other side. The other mentors did the same, but no cat was as quick as Rainfeather.

⠀⠀Next was the apprentices.

⠀⠀Gorsepaw watched as his littermates crossed. Of course, Flintpaw went first. Next was Plumpaw. Before she went, Copperpaw placed her tail on Gorsepaw's shoulder gently, then followed after Plumpaw.

⠀⠀Gorsepaw gulped once it was his turn. He jumped onto the first rock. Good. Then the next. Good. Then the third. Good. The fourth... good. He jumped onto the fifth one, the smallest out of them all. He gasped as water swept under his biggest toe. He stumbled, panicking as he did so. Luckily, he didn't fall in.

⠀⠀...Good.

⠀⠀"Careful, Gorsepaw! You can do this!" Copperpaw called. Gorsepaw smiled to himself. He hopped onto the ground, relief flooding through his body. His legs were shaking.

⠀⠀"Great job everyone. Now, let's go and see Coral Beach..." Cardinalstar purred, pushing aside some bushes to reveal a beautiful shoreside. Beautiful blends of white, aqua blue, and sea green coral. It was overgrown, branching over the shore. Gorsepaw gasped. It... It was beautiful!
