#1: "Barbed Wire"
Ramsey dashed frantically across the open fields, freedom in sight. He was running so fast that the world around him was a blur. All he was focused on was escaping the hunter that was chasing him, a rifle in his hands.
The deer's heart was pounding. He was burning hot in his dark green hoodie, but he didn't care. He had to get away.
He was so focused on running that he didn't noticed the barbed wire fence that stretched before him, its rusted barbs glinting faintly in the afternoon sunlight.
Ramsey didn't have time to jump before he collided with the fence. Pain stabbed through various points on his body as the wire dug into his flesh, drawing blood.
He tore with all his might, still desperate to get away from the hunter. Thankfully, humans were slow. Regardless, he didn't have much time. A human couldn't get to him super fast, but a bullet sure could.
Panicking, Ramsey ignored the pain as he barged through the fence, the wire breaking away from the fence post and becoming entangled around his torso and limbs.
Despite his pain, he kept running. His wounds would heal, given time.
As many living things know, scratches will fade, but a bullet will kill you, if it hits in just the right spot.
