Her fingers laced with his perfectly as they walked through the sparser forest around their cabin.

"Since the sky is so clear tonight, how about we make a fire pit and roast those marshmallows?" Taehyung asked softly, giving her his heartwarming smile. "We can stargaze, I'll bring some blankets out that we can lay on-"

"That sounds wonderful." She smiled softly, enjoying the soft crunch of the dirt beneath her shoes. "Hot chocolate as well?"

"I wouldn't have it any other way." He leant down, pecking her forehead. "I noticed a lovely bed of flowers in that direction-"

"Can we go?" Her eyes lit up and he chuckled softly. "Of course."

She had wandered off minutes after they reached the brightly coloured flowerbed. She hadn't gone far, but the woods had gotten denser here and it was harder to see, even if it was broad daylight.

Taehyung noticed when he looked up, his eyes wide with panic. "Where are you?" He called out, hand flying to his waistband of his pants. "Sweetheart?"

He searched the immediate area instantly, muttering small curses underneath his breath.

He reached the flowerbed, running a hand through his hair, stressed and on edge. He was just about to call out her name when she came into view once more. Her hands fiddling with a bunch of flowers until she went on her tiptoes and she placed the flower crown on his head.

"I saw some flowers on the way here-" She started before she noticed the stressed look on his face and panic in his eyes. "Are you okay?"

"I... I was so worried." He breathed out and pulled her into a hug, holding her as if he was scared that if he let go, the darkness would consume her.

"I'm safe Tae." She whispered, hugging him back with just as much passion. "Don't worry about me."

He heard the almost silent snap of a twig nearby, and his eyes looked up from her and his grip tightened a little more. There he saw the hooded figure, a smirk planted on his lips as they stood further in the distance.

'Maybe next time' the person has mouthed and Taehyung saw the glint of metal being tucked into a pocket before the person turned away.

Taehyung had a chill down his spine at that. "Lets go back, yeah? It's about lunch time now."

"Okay!" She smiled happily, lacing fingers with him once more before leading him off the way they came.
