day 270

"mmmm, youre warm," josh mumbled, half awake. he whined as tyler tried to move.

"i gotta get up." tyler said. they had just taken a nap.

"whyyy," josh asked, rolling over. he pulled the blankets up over them more.

"i need to cook dinner." tyler replied, hands softy scratching joshs back.

"no you don't." josh whined.

"we need our strength." tyler said. josh lifted his head up and looked at him.

"for what?" he asked, having an idea of what he was talking about.

"for hunting." tyler replied.

-

tyler grunted as he dropped the woman's limp body onto the concrete floor of the basement. he nudged her with his foot before shrugging and making his way back up the stairs.

"not gonna chain her up?" josh asked.

"she's still out cold," tyler shrugged.

"how long til she wakes up?" josh said, popping a grape out of the fridge into his mouth.

"i give it an hour." tyler said. "i got some work i need to do."

"i wanna watch." josh said.

"why?" tyler chuckled.

"i like to watch you work, i dunno." josh shrugged.

"whatever you say." tyler laughed, josh following him over to his desk.

-

"and then the only thing left to do is to put it all in order so it maps out a whole class." tyler said, opening another tab to find a website he uses.

"you're so smart." josh shook his head.

"you think so?" tyler laughed.

"yeah i mean this is an advanced job you gotta be smart to do it."

"what did you wanna do?" tyler asked.

"like career wise?" josh said.

"yeah." tyler nodded.

"i wanted to be a baseball coach." josh said.

"highschool or what?" tyler asked.

"college actually, i dunno i just have always wanted to do it." josh shrugged.

"no that's pretty cool, you look like a coach." tyler smiled.

"oh you think so?" josh giggled. he started to say something else, but was cut off by banging on the basement door.

"she's awake." tyler smiled. josh gasped and stood up, heading over to the door with tyler.

"you ready?" tyler asked.

"it's go time." josh nodded. tyler chuckled and opened the door.

they were met with a screaming woman, tyler immediately landed his boot on her chest and kicked her down the basement stairs.

she rolled and slammed down the stairs, screaming and crying. once she made it to the bottom, they both headed down there. josh shut the door behind them, flipping the basement light on.

"help please help me!" the woman rambled on. tyler ignored her, grabbing her long brown hair and dragging her over to the wall. he grabbed the chain, locking it around her wrist.

"you know what i haven't done in a while?" tyler leaned to josh.

"what's that?" josh asked.

"reminded the public who they're up against." tyler said. josh quirked an eyebrow, looking confused.

"dump a body." tyler clarified. josh smiled big.

"she's a pretty girl.  i think they'd wanna see her one last time." josh said. he squatted down next to her.

tyler's eye twitched as she let out an ear piercing scream. he grabbed a rag and tape, shoving it in her mouth and taping around her head. josh followed him over to the corner.

"here, put these on." tyler said after rummaging around for a moment. he handed josh a ski mask and some gloves.

"i think she knows what we look like." josh said. tyler slightly chuckled.

"we wanna minimize dna. this'll help with hair and fingerprints." tyler shrugged. "we'll clean her up after."

"ahhh that makes sense." josh nodded. he followed tyler's instructions, putting on the items.

the girl consistently tried to scream through her gag. she thrashed and pulled on the chain, trying as hard as she could to escape her fate.

tyler slipped his shirt off, replacing it with a white tshirt.

"i like the mask on you." josh smiled, blushing under his own.

"yeah?" tyler smirked.

he grabbed his favorite knife, and handed josh one. they both walked over to the girl.

she scrambled back as far as her chain would let her, and screamed as loud as the gag would let her.

"there's no point," tyler said to her. he squatted, grabbing her hair and pulling her head back, forcing her to look at him.

"there's no escape." tyler whispered. he smiled, watching a few tears trickle down her face.

"it's not safe out here." he whispered.

you could see the fear in her eyes, and hear the sounds of her shaky breaths through her nose. she cried and mumbled, trying to talk.

"what was that?" tyler asked. he grabbed the tape, ripping it off. she spit the gag out.

"please i won't tell anyone just let me go please i want my mom pleaseee let me go," she bawled and rambled. tyler sighed, lifting her chin up to look at him.

without a word, tyler slashed the knife across her neck. her head fell back, opening the cut more and spraying blood. she gurgled and sputtered, clawing at her neck.

tyler let go, stepping back and watching as she fell over. josh stepped in, plunging his own knife into her stomach. he dragged it across, cutting through skin fat and muscle. blood pooled in the wound, her organs spilling out a bit.

josh turned to look at tyler, who was drenched in blood as well as himself. they both smiled.

"it feels so good." josh said.

"you were made for me." tyler replied.
