37 - bait
day 187
"really, this is necessary?" tyler said, gesturing to the tv screen.
"uh yeah." josh said. "south park is the best show and you're lying if you say it's not." josh said, smiling at him.
"it's your birthday." tyler abruptly said. "21."
"huh?" josh asked.
"21," he smiled. "it's your birthday."
"oh, wow." josh swallowed.
"shall we celebrate?" tyler asked. josh looked at him for a moment, before slowly nodding.
-
"no come on i'm telling you, it would be perfect." tyler stepped up to josh, who was in the kitchen making a snack.
"tyler, it's too risky." josh said.
"i know exactly where we're gonna go. no one ever goes on that road besides a few unlucky people. the one person that's gonna see you, is gonna be the one person we kill." tyler urged.
"i don't wanna get taken away." josh said.
"you won't, you won't." tyler said.
"fine. fine okay. i'll be your bait."
-
"joshua you almost ready?" tyler called out.
"yeah," josh ran up to him. "yeah i'm ready."
"hey." tyler set his hands on either side of his face. he just leant down and connected their lips.
"let's go celebrate." josh said.
"let's." tyler smiled.
-
"where's this place at?" josh asked.
"it's called o'malley loop. it's a place i go pretty often." tyler said.
"are we almost there?" josh asked.
"we are about to pull up." tyler sat up a bit. "okay, wanna go over the plan?"
"we drive by, find someone alone with no one around. park, i get out and run up to them for help,"
"and no service, so no chance of 911." tyler chimed in.
"i get them to follow me to the car i 'stole' and you jump out." josh finished.
"good. and what do we do when we have them secured?" tyler asked.
"sedate them." josh said.
"let's do it." tyler smiled.
josh sat back excitedly and looked around as tyler slowed down a bit and sat up.
"i'm not seeing anyone." josh said.
"we just pulled in. be patient." tyler said.
josh sighed and sat back.
tyler drove and josh watched in silence, besides the radio playing. this happened for a while until tyler chuckled.
"what?" josh asked.
"get down, and stay down as much as you can while looking at the women on your side." tyler said, cowering down a bit as well.
"young adult." josh said.
"what's next?" tyler said, sitting up a bit when they passed.
"uhhm drive at least a couple miles more and make sure no one is near." josh said.
"exactly." tyler smiled. he did exactly that.
"no sign of anyone. next step?" tyler quizzed.
"let's go for it." josh smiled. tyler turned the car around started driving back.
"where do you stop?" josh asked.
"right about......here." tyler said, pulling over and turning the car off.
"go get her. she's yours." tyler said.
josh nodded. tyler handed him a flashlight.
josh got out and turned on the light. he started to run in the direction of the woman.
he ran for about half a mile before he caught site of the woman up ahead. he gasped and sprinted faster.
"ma'am! ma'am please! help please!" he screamed.
she gasped and ran up to him when she could see what was happening.
"oh my god you're, you're the missing boy!" she said.
"please. help me please." he cried, dropping down on his knees and grabbing her hand.
"is he out here?" she said quietly, squatting down with him.
josh paused for a moment.
he could say yes. he could say yes and maybe there's a chance they could get away.
but he didn't want to.
"i stole his car. i escaped. it's parked back there i saw you and and had to get help i don't know what to do i'm-"
"okay, okay. shhh it's okay." she hugged him. "okay, so no service of course, i uh... um let's, let's go to the car, and i can drive us to a police station okay?"
"thank you," josh hugged her. "thank you so much."
"it's gonna be okay." she said.
"i know it is." josh smiled. he restricted a dark smirk coming out.
"let's go." she nodded. grabbing him by the arm and leading him towards the direction of tyler's car. they walked for a bit, josh answering her questions about his family. she was trying to calm him.
"it's not much further, oh look it's right there." josh pointed the flashlight at it.
"oh wow okay." the woman nodded. "let's get out of here." they walked up to the car.
"let's." josh smirked.
"uh do you, have the keys?" she questioned.
"they're in the car." josh said, still standing still.
"ohhkay." she nodded. she reluctantly turned to walk around to the drivers side door. josh followed.
"what are you doing?" she looked behind her and paused when she turned back around, and tyler was standing a few inches in front of her.
"wh-what?" she swallowed hard and started backing up.
"nothing personal." josh whispered from behind her.
she screamed, immediately turning to run but josh pushing her back into tyler's arms. he grunted as he held her down.
he pushed her to the ground and wrapped the rope he around her wrists. he secured them and stuffed and taped her mouth before standing up and throwing her in the backseat of his car.
"wanna do the honors?" tyler turned to josh, who's jaw was dropped. the woman screamed through her gag.
"oh shut the fuck up." tyler snapped.
josh chuckled and walked over to the woman. he grabbed the syringe tyler handed him, and began to sedate her.
"very well done." tyler said.
-
"she's starting to wake up." josh turned to look at her when he heard some shuffling.
"perfect timing." tyler said, turning on his blinker and turning onto his street.
he pulled into the driveway, opened his garage before pulling in and closing it behind them.
josh got out first, going around to the backseat and opening the door.
"alright lady. let's have us a party." tyler said, grabbing her and throwing her over his shoulder.
josh followed closely as they made their way to the basement.
tyler threw her down and made his way to josh.
"i have another surprise." tyler said.
"what?" josh asked. tyler smiled and held up a white t-shirt.
"better not be white when you're done." he said.
josh took it and put it on. he smiled.
"happy birthday." tyler said, handing josh his knife.
"do it with me." josh said.
"what do you want to do?" tyler asked.
"make her bleed." josh said.
tyler nodded and went over to the woman. he reared back and kicked her, her screaming and clutching her bleeding nose.
"get busy then." tyler said. josh walked up to her and squatted down. darkness filled his eyes.
"look what you get for trying to help." josh whispered, plunging the knife into her gut.
she gurgled and choked and gasped, fighting for her life while being punctured repeatedly with a knife.
tyler bent down behind josh and grabbed his throat.
"how do you feel?" tyler asked.
"like a god."
