Bio:

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Santino had a very rough childhood: his mother died during childbirth, and his father died when he was eight, making life very hard for him.

Relying on his childhood friend Tony D'Angelo for support the two would get together and play football in middle school and high school, but in one particular game, Sonny would hurt his back in one tackle.

It was revealed later on that the back injury had ended his football career, but Sonny would consider other options for sports, and the one being pro wrestling.

Instead of competing, he would be a manager for some of the biggest names in pro wrestling, one of them would be Tomasso Ciampa, former NXT Champion.

Even though he wasn't allowed to compete in the ring, Sonny wasn't fazed because he knows that being outside the ring for the matches was worth it.

One day during his 5 years as a manager, Sonny would get the all clear from the doctors, but refused to try and compete in the ring because he was happy with his position as being at ringside for his clients.

After 10 years as a manager, he now arrives in NXT to be introduced by his childhood friend as a consigliere.

When the show comes to an end, Sonny meets a Japanese cutie named Sarray, the Warrior of The Sun, and she catches his eye, but what does she think of him?
