Percy's POV
It has been a few weeks after the battle and I was staying with my mom and Paul, I wanted a break from the gods for a while. That's when mom and Paul decided to break the news, we were having dinner and they said they needed to talk.

"Percy..." My mom said nervously.

"Yes mom?" I asked.

"Us and the gods have decided that you need to go back school and finish your education." My mom started. And Paul finished by saying,

"So, we enrolled you to Goode."

"Okay, whatever." I don't really want to go back to school, but what choice do I have?

"You will start tomorrow because the year already started."

"Okay" I said glumly. At least it will get my mind of things.

-------the next day-------

    Today is the day I start school. Yay. I'm sooo excited! Not.
I went to my dresser to pick out my clothes, today I was wearing all black, like I now normally do.

I walked up to the double doors at the entrance to Goode. No one should be in the hallways because it is lunch time right now, for that I am glad. I walked in to Goode and went to the office, bla bla bla. You know how it goes, get my schedule, all that boring stuff.

I now walked up to the cafeteria doors and prayed to the gods that no one recognized me. And I had no such luck. I guess walking into a cafeteria were everyone is sitting and silently talking 15 minutes late gets you noticed.

  As soon as I walked in people looked up. I quickly went and sat down at a table were no one was siting, without getting any food. You see, ever sense the...events, I haven't been eating much, I never smile, and I'm always in a mood.

   I sat quietly for the rest of the lunch period without saying a word. Then thankfully, the bell rang. I got up and quickly got to my next class. Which just so happened to be Mythology. I sat down in one off the back row corner seats. Soon everyone was seated and class was ready to begin. The teacher then started to take attendance.

"Natalie Brennan (A/N, if anyone guesses were I got the last name from I will give you a shout out, and I'll tell the answer in the next chapter)" I looked up at this name, sure enough Natalie Brennan, one of my friends from the first time I came to Goode, was siting in the front row, along with some of my other old friends.

"Ben Blue (okay, that was the full name, same siries as the last name.) he to was one of my old friends.

"Shelton Sterling" also one of my old friends.

-a few more names-

"Also, Students,we have a new student joining us this year, his name is Percy Jackson." When the teacher said this my old friends looked up in shock. Well I guess they remember me. What my luck. (Note the sarcasm)

"Percy please stand" I reluctantly stood when she said this.

Some people who new me gasped when they saw me. I didn't look at them though. I simply sat back down.

It was soon the end of the day and I've managed to ignore everyone, and get to class before I've had to have conversations with them. I was quickly walking to the entrance to the school when I heard a voice I didn't want to hear.

"Percy! Wait up!" Ben yelled. I speed up not wanting to talk.

"Percy!" This time it was Natalie and Ben yelling.

"Look, I don't want to talk. Okay?" I said turning around. Ben, Shelton, and Natalie quickly made it to were I was and started talking.

"Percy what happened to you?" Natalie asked.

"Life happened. I don't want to talk, so if you'll excuse me, I'm leaving."

"Percy! You can't just ignore us!" Shelton yelled.

"Yes, yes I can. I'm not the same Percy that you new. He's gone, and he's never coming back." That was all I said, because I turned around and left.
