**** Sorry guys, here's the update (finally, I know oops)
Hope you enjoy! It's pretty long (I think at least. 1927 words).

Picture of a proud father and his beautiful little baby ****

The party was fun, aside from all the times James and co. decided to crash our little party and annoy the fuck out of us.

Which was basically the entire time. So it was pretty much a waste of time. Which was sad, because I really wanted that party to be a good time.

I was trying to sleep, but the sun was creeping in, and Leah was texting someone, probably Ryan. I groaned at her but she didn't pay any attention.

I gave up trying to sleep when I heard her giggle softly, her cheeks puffing out as she tried to keep it from bursting out loudly.

I sat up quickly and stared at her before she could change her face back to a mask. She had a full smile, her eyes glinting in what could only be described as blissful glee.

I wanted to know what he had said that had made her so blissfully happy, because I wanted her to always look like this.

I wanted her to always have this look on her face, I wanted her to always be this happy.

"What did he say?" I asked, smirking and leaning over. She hid her phone in her chest and looked at me with a poker face.

"Who?" she asked innocently, and I shook my head and grabbed her shoulder. "Don't bullshit me Leah, I know. What did Ryan say?" I asked, smiling at her.

I kind of missed the glowing look on her face; the smile was reduced to a secretive tight line, but her eyes were still glimmering, though dimmer now.

"I don't know what you're talking about" she said, sitting up and throwing her legs over the edge of the bed.

"Did he call you babe or something? Ask you out? Tell you the obvious:that you're beautiful? What? What was it so I can make sure he always does it so you'll always have that intensely happy look on your face?" I asked, grinning at her.

She blushed and said nothing, standing up and walking out of the room.

"FINE, BUT I'LL TALK TO HIM IF I DON'T GET IT FROM YOU" I yelled after her, and I just knew she was flipping me off through the walls.

I just laughed and got up, getting into a bikini and walking to the back door.

I got my surf board and ran towards the water.

I had gotten a bit better at surfing. Nothing fancy, but I could manage to stay standing and ride a wave, relatively.

The sun was just rising, sending a golden glow to the sky.

It looked like some sort of thing you'd see on a fancy card: the golden sky, with easy, tumbling waves and a golden sandy beach.

I paddled out and sat for a while, watching the sun rise higher into the sky. Then, the waves started getting bigger when the wind started picking up.

I rode out a few waves before getting on my knees. I went over another wave and then I stood up slowly.

I placed one foot forward, the other back, both angled outwards for maximum balance.

I bent my knees and shifted my legs so that I was pointed straight ahead.

Then I took a deep breath and turned at the last minute, doing a messy 360 at the top of the wave. I ended up falling, but I didn't really care much.

There was something about being on the water; it's like you were part of the wave, an addition to the water. You weren't riding on the wave, you were riding with the wave.

When I came back up I just rested my arms on the surfboard and stared up at the sky, kicking my legs softly.

I heard a splash and I thought it was Leah coming out so I pulled myself on the board and turned, about to jokingly challenge her to a surf battle.

But instead I was met with James and Chase. Bentley, Luke and Chad were on the beach, but I guessed that they would come in soon.

"This stalking is going too far James. If you don't fucking leave me alone I swear to fucking hell I will beat your ass" I snarled, rolling my eyes.

I was trying to enjoy the sunrise and relax. But of fucking course James had to show up and fuck shit up. I wasn't in the mood for him; I never was.

"Morning sexy, enjoying the sunrise by falling into the water?" He asked.

I scoffed and turned away from him, starting to paddle farther out.

I shouldn't have been surprised to see that he followed me.

"Aww, it's okay, you don't have to be embarrassed about your complete lack of surfing skills" he said, sickly sweet.

Oh he was asking for it, fucking egging me on. He wanted to make me mad, he wanted me to blow my fuse.

Then I knew he would undermine me and find some way to try and take over my spot as 'leader' of the group.

He still hadn't gotten it through his head that there was no such thing as a leader to the group. We were friends, simple as that.

I held in the anger and didn't respond, instead paddling out towards another wave coming.

I got on my knees, and then I stood up just before the wave hit me. It wasn't anything fancy; no flips or tricks, I didn't even attempt a slight turn. I just rode through it sideways.

But I didn't fall off, thank hell I didn't fall off. Would've really hurt my pride if I had, especially right after he said what he had about me having no skills.

I rode the wave right past them, to the shore. And I went inside without another word to James.

Of course, while I began eating breakfast, I saw James and his friends sitting on the sand, on the beach, in front of our cabin.

I swear to fucking Jinxx, if they kept at this, I would throw them all in the ocean with broken fucking noses.

I tried to ignore them, but all of us felt awkward, feeling their unsettling gaze, staring at us with everything we did, ever movement we made.

I finally cracked and stormed outside glaring.

"What's it gonna take to get you off our fucking property? Do I need to call the c-cops" I said, huffing and clenching my fists.

I fucking cursed myself for stuttering when I said cops. I'm still not comfortable with them after all that had happened.

Before I was scared of them because I did all sorts of illegal things, and now I was unsettled by them because of how they had taken me away from the Falling In Reverse bus.

I still remember the rough handling, the tight grips, the way they slammed my head on the top of the car as they shoved me in the back of the squad car.

"A date. For all of us" James said, quirking an eyebrow and smirking.

"No fucking way" I said, crossing my arms around my chest.

I cursed myself for not throwing on a shirt, because I was not at all comfortable with all of them looking at my exposed body.

I knew exactly where their eyes were looking, and it wasn't my eyes, not even my face.

I shifted awkwardly, but I didn't dare move. Something was happening, I knew it.

"Well then 'no fucking way' we're leaving. And you can't force us, little lady" he said.

I grumbled under my breath but I got an idea.

"How about a little challenge?" I asked, quirking my eyebrows.

He sat forward, interested.

"We go out there and surf. Whoever ends up in the water first loses. If you go in first, you leave us the fuck alone. If I go in first, I'll go on a........ date with you" I said.

It felt like bile rose to my throat at the thought of going on a date with James.

I was careful with my wording though.....

It was the only way to get him off our case. I was just really hoping I held up well.

I was pretty sure I would fall off first, but I was hoping I would have a couple waves before I fell.

Or I could do something else......

He stood up and held his chin like he was thinking hard. I tapped my foot impatiently, nervous and dreading this already.

I would fucking lose, and there was no way I could manage getting through a date with him...... I had to figure out another way....

I guess he nodded but I hadn't noticed.

I saw him already by the water, so I grabbed my surfboard and ran over, taking deep breaths and trying to calm down.

I saw the girls standing there confused, and James friends were smirking and hi-fiving each other. It looked like they were placing bets or something.

James turned and smirked at them. "You guys better be betting on me, cause otherwise you'll be losing your money" he said, and I glared, scoffing.

An idea was forming in my head, I just hope I made it long enough to put it in action.

Chase did a count down, and then we jumped into the water, paddling side by side.

James jumped up quickly to a standing position. He was showing off, balancing on one foot and smirking at me.

But I moved past the blow to my pride, because that made it perfect for me to put my plan into action.

I got on my knees, and just before the wave reached me, I stood up.

We rode the wave, still side by side, and once we reached the crest of the wave, I leaned over.

"Hey James. I'm not surprised much, but you should be smarter than this" I said to him, smirking. He looked at me confused, and I laughed.

"I'd never go on a date with you if you were the last person on earth" I said, and then I shoved him, sending him tumbling into the water.

I nearly fell in, but I managed to stay balanced by falling to my knees and clutching the surfboard. I turned it around and went back to the shore smirking.

Chase was fuming, Bentley looked amused, and Luke was full out laughing, shaking his head. I don't know what to make of Chad's expression. But I didn't care.

I won.

James came in with the tide, looking like someone crushed his chest in. I knew his ego had to be hurting after that one. Serves him right, he could do with a little deflating of that ego.

"I guess you'll be going now, buh-bye!" I smirked, waving and walking away.

Leah jumped on me and I laughed finally, spinning her around and looking at Luna and Echo's amused faces.

I was surprised that James didn't say anything, he just turned around and left, the others following behind him looking lost and confused.

"We shouldn't be seeing him again" I smirked, and we jumped and threw our fists in the air in victory.

Finally we had the freedom to surf by ourselves, do whatever we wanted without the perving eyes of James and co.

It felt damn good.
