20. Party Showdowns

**** I'm sorry I didn't update before. I hope you enjoy. I don't usually do this, but ehh why not. Picture is Ryker's outfit (different shoes but whatever). ****

We didn't see James or his goons for the rest of the day, but I knew it was only a matter of time.

There was a party on the beach and Luna insisted that we go. She said something along the lines of 'We can't not have fun just to avoid a prick. If he wants to look fine. And if he touches, we can hit him. I know you're dying to have a good excuse to do that'.

........she had a point....

So we were going. I wouldn't make them not have fun just cause I was scared of beating up a dumb surfer dude.

It was hot, and I mean really hot, so even I wouldn't be wearing pants to the party.

I settled for wearing tights, because there was no way I would be going outside with bare legs, especially not if that James-dick was out prowling the beaches for us.

I couldn't find any tights though, blame it on Leah's scandalous packing job, so I had to wear stockings that went up to my thighs. I found some shorts with skeleton print on them, and I pulled on a shirt with a drinking skeleton on it.

I got a spiked choker and an arm band on, and slipped on black vans, and I was ready to go.

When I stepped outside to check out the water in the moonlight, I was surprised to feel myself shiver. So it was colder at night....

I didn't want to change, so I grabbed my leather jacket just before Luna and Echo dragged me out of the house, pulling on my arms while Leah jumped on my back.

We stumbled down the beach laughing and kicking sand at each other. I kept trying to sling Leah off my back into the water, but she had a vise-grip on me. Like a fucking koala or some shit.

......or a sloth......... She's hanging on me, just like I used to hang on Ronnie...-no, stop, breathe. Where are you? Who are you? You're not Ronnie's girl anymore.....

We walked down the beach for a while, so long that I was worried we wouldn't be able to find our way back.

Finally, we heard the blaring sound of pounding dance music and the distant yell of drunk guys hitting on even drunker girls.

We could feel the music pounding in our bones, and the sound of drunken fools seeped into our heads like the buzz of alcohol.

Leah jumped down off me and started running for the party. I smirked and yelled, and soon we were all running as fast as we could towards the party.

Luna's tight black dress was riding up, and Echo's skirt kept flying upwards so they ran slower while trying to pull the fabric down.

And Leah, the sweet little thing, her legs were shorter, so my longer strides quickly pushed me past her. I threw my fist in the air and cheered as I got there before everyone else.

Of course, as soon as I turned around to smile at them, I felt an unwelcome hand creep around my waist, trying to slip under my shirt.

I scoffed and shoved him away from me, rolling my eyes.

"James, I guess you didn't take the hint earlier today. You still don't get it, so why don't I take care of all your questions now, hmm?" I said, turning to face him.

I tried not to knee him right in the balls when I saw him staring at my boobs. I was just glad that I wasn't wearing a low-cut shirt.

"Lets see," I said, holding my hand out so I could count off with my fingers. "1. No, you can't buy me a drink. 2. My sign is stop. Stop now, before you embarrass yourself further. 3. No, we won't be hooking up. The only guys my friends will hook up with are their rockstar babes, and you guys are as far from rock stars as possible. So take a hint and back the fuck off"

By now, the girls had made it over and pushed past the other people to get to me. They fanned out around me and we stared off with James and his friends.

They all looked the same, murky blonde hair, smirking lips, the toned surfer bod. But none of us were interested.

I noticed them slouch a bit, and I smirked right back at them.

I grabbed Luna and pulled her to my side. "Luna here, tell 'em the hunk you're with" I said, and she smiled a little dreamily. "My Maxi" she sighed, and I laughed. She was whipped. And so was he. Fucking perfect...

"Max Green, he's in the band Escape The Fate. He could knock you to the ground in one hit" I said and let go of Luna.

I pulled Echo to me next, and she spoke without having me say anything, catching on to what was happening.

"I'm with Andy" she said, and I nodded, staring at the guys. "Andy Biersack, the singer/song-writer/screamer in Black Veil Brides. And he's so tall, he could probably just step on you guys and it'd be over" I said, letting Echo go.

Now it was Leah's turn....

I grabbed her and quickly realized she wouldn't say anything, since they weren't dating yet, but I knew Ryan wanted her bad. And she wanted him, she couldn't hide it.

"Leah here," I said, pausing while I saw all the guys faces light up, like she may not be taken. No way she'd ever be with them, even if she wasn't into Ryan. "Is with Ryan Seaman, the drummer of Falling In Reverse. He'd kick your ass if he knew how close you were to Leah" I said, letting my voice drift off.

"In fact, maybe I should call them up, it would be quite a sight, you guys trying to explain your perving eyes to them. And trust me, we wouldn't hold them back" I said, whispering at the end like it was a really important secret.

The guys gulped slightly, but James wasn't impressed. I let go of Leah and crossed my arms, glaring into his wandering eyes.

"And what about you" he said, stepping away from the group. I stepped forward too, so that we were chest to chest. We were about the same height, I was a bit shorter but I made up for it with raw anger.

Leah piped up, stepping forward a bit. "She's with the Ronnie Radke, and he's buff and protective of her, and-" she started to say. I saw them cower a bit at the mention of his name-they knew him, most everyone does-and they were scared, with pretty good reason.

I almost wanted to let her lace the story together so I could pretend it was real. But it was a lie, and I knew that he wouldn't like me pretending I was with him, because I never really was.

And once I moved past the dreamy fantasy, it hurt to hear it, because I knew it wasn't real, maybe never would be.

I silenced her with a finger and shook my head.

"I'm not dating anyone. But I don't need a boyfriend to scare you away, I can do that all by my pretty little lady self. All of us can" I sneered, glaring at him.

He laughed and smirked down at me. "Oh baby, all girls want a guy to protect them. And I'm every girls dream guy" he said, pulling his shirt off and throwing it at my face.

I ignored his shirtless body, instead throwing his shirt to the ground, into the sand. I picked up my foot and stepped on the shirt, grinding it down farther into the sand.

I brushed my hands together like I was rubbing off filth, and I raised my eyebrow at him.

"That's what I think about you and your dream guy gang" I said, cocking my hip and letting my upper lip pull up in annoyed disgust.

He laughed, but his eyes were blazing-I had hurt his ego, and in front of his friends too. The nerve, the audacity, I know, I'm out of control! Tch.

It was on. I knew it, the girls knew it, his boys knew it.

I stood a little taller, telling him I wasn't afraid of his little challenge. If the thought I was gonna lose and fall for him, then he had nothing inside that 'pretty' little head but sand and salt water.

"You're a spirited one," he said, reaching out to run his fingers under my chin. I jerked my face away from him and sneered at him.

He gave another smirk and stepped back.

"Give it time baby, you can't deny your attractions. And when you give up your little feminist pride game, I'll give you the night you're dreaming of" he said, walking away, the others following.

Oh, if he knew what kind of night I was dreaming of having with him, he wouldn't want it to happen. It would involve body fluid, but not the kind he was thinking of. I'd fucking make him bleed, make him cry, make him-

Leah laid her hand on my arm, pulling me back. I shook myself from the violent anger and smiled at her.

"Well now that we had drama worthy of a movie, why don't we go have fun?" I said, smiling to the girls. They nodded and we headed for the dance 'floor'.

Even if James was here, I was determined to have fun and relax before I had to go back to LA and remind myself daily about Ronnie and all of the shit.

Luna and Echo faced each other and danced, and I grabbed Leah's hands and started dancing with her, letting the pounding music thump in my head and bones and make me forget for a while.
