"Vancouver gets hotter and hotter everytime I visit" Grant sighed. "I thought Virginia was boiling"

"Clearly you forget how coastal cities work, give it a few hours and it'll be pouring rain" I chuckled.

"I missed it to be honest" Caity smiled, "Vancouver just hits different"

"Try living here 12 months out of the year" Katie rolled her eyes.

"You can move anytime you want" I said.

"And than who'll bug you daily?" She stuck her tongue out at me.

Caity and Grant came to visit Melinda who had successfully been dubbed the Godmother of the rebooted Arrowverse and was now a few months pregnant with her first baby, Grant and Caity's first grandchild.

We were sitting in the very Cactus club we had been banned from for being to loud and rowdy back when we were filming Arrowverse.

"When does John and Scott plan to come up?" Caity asked.

"I don't know, John hasn't been feeling to well lately" Stephen said, "We night have to go visit him"

"He still hasn't recovered from Melissa" Katie sighed.

I might've been her husband, but she was his sister, his angel puppy, the woman he swore to protect and he couldn't protect her from death. He had started putting money into different bank accounts after her death, each of them that would go to the kids when he died. He had 3 for his kids and 5 to split between mine, Caity and Grants and Katie's kids.

"Mom, Dad" Melinda came waddling in. She was only 5 months along but twins made her even bigger.

"Hi, princess" Grant stood up and hugged her. "How are the babies?"

"Healthy" She smiled sitting down. "Hi, Uncle Stephen, aunt Katie"

"Hi, Mellie" Katie smiled. "Thought of any names?"

"Yes actually" Melinda pulled out her phone. "If it's two boys, Grant and Johnathan, two girls Kendra and Caitlin, and one boy and one girl Julian and Melissa"

"Awe" I smiled.

We sat talking, ordering food and joking around until the sunset. Katie and I were getting ready to leave when a loud gunshot echoed.

"Everyone get to the ground" We all turned and saw a man with various guns and a ski mask on.

"Oh my god" Katie said. He shot a few more shots and everyone hit the ground. Grant and I ushered Melinda under the table, trying to hide her.

"I want everyone to empty their wallets, all the jewels and credit cards" The robber stated, "No one gets hurt as long as I get the money"

We instantly began pulling all we had out, I saw Melinda was pulling out her wallet as well as calling 911. Apparently the robber saw this too and pulled her from under the table. Katie and Caity screamed to let her go and attempt to tackle him when he fired a shot into Katie's arm.

She screamed in pain causing the robber to drop Melinda, but he didn't stop aiming the gun.

When he had his back turned, Grant jumped up and wrestled the gun away but not before it went off again, this time into his stomach.

Another customer and I wrestled the robber down but I could see Grant was loosing a lot of blood. Melinda and Caity held him, Katie was getting medical attention from a waitress while I kept the robber down.

I heard sirens in the streets but I could see they wouldn't make it.

Grant lifted his hand up to Melinda's cheek and smiled softly. "I leave you, my legacy"

His arm dropped and his eyes glossed over. Melissa has called him to the other side.

Things became muffled, I heard Melinda's wailing and eventually felt the cops push me off the robber. I saw the paramedics pull Caity away from her husband and that was it.

Grant Gustin was dead.
