Picture for no reason 👍

Aziraphale was making his way up the stairs to Heaven, he had always thought that Heaven and Hell thought too much of themselves. There always had to be a posh and intimidating entrance, and it had also annoyed him how they had to scare the humans into living a good life.

It was 2010 on Earth, and he had a meeting with the Archangels to discuss some human activity. Of course, it was the humans' fault for getting so messed up with themselves, but the angel just felt that Heaven ought to do something about it.

As he entered the inhumanely clean surroundings, he glanced around and saw Gabriel, Michael, Uriel and Sandalphon standing together waiting for him. He forced himself to smile politely, and went over to them with his hands together.

"Hello," he greeted cheerily. He always tried to be cheery and kind, although it was somewhat forced with the other angels, especially the Archangels.

"Aziraphale." Gabriel smiled falsely. "Good to see you." He could see the lie as clear as day, "you said you had something to say to us." Gabriel seemed to be getting to the point quicker than usual, perhaps he was busy, Aziraphale thought, and he was certainly not going to refuse.

"Yes, well, you know how the humans have been the past few decades about gay people," he started, and received a nod to continue, "well, I think they are starting to accept each other a bit more now, but I was wondering if I could give them a little... prompt, to get them in the right direction."

"No, Aziraphale, you know we should leave the humans to their own business and let them find their way on their own." Gabriel dismissed it quickly, leaving Aziraphale quite disappointed at the lack of consideration.

"Yes, er, quite." Aziraphale retreated.

"I don't know, actually." Uriel remarked. Gabriel internally sighed, and Aziraphale noticed the sense of annoyance radiating off him. "I mean, the humans do sometimes need a little help, and it wouldn't do any harm." Gabriel glanced at his watch.

"I think we might need some more time on this, I'll cancel—" Sandalphon started, but was interrupted by Gabriel.

"My next meeting is very important." He said. Aziraphale felt a little put down by the fact they were not previously planning on taking him seriously and making some time for discussions, but dismissed the thought; it was unimportant.

"It's only with Beelzebub." Sandalphon commented, perhaps he was even trying to change Gabriel's mind. If he was though, he did not succeed.

"And it's important." Gabriel continued, his voice stern as if to make his point.

"Well, we'll make a decision now then." Michael suggested, trying to get away from the conversation point.

"I think the humans are doing fine on their own, and we should leave them to themselves for such an important mile stone." He said.

"Um, ok then." Aziraphale said unsurely. Gabriel checked his watch again.

"I've got to go." He said shortly, before walking off. Aziraphale was surprised that the others Archangels did not follow.

"Whatever was that about?" He asked, curiosity getting the better of him, which was not what was supposed to happen to angels. He was expecting no reply, or to be disciplined, but he did get a reply.

"We don't know." Sandalphon said severely.

"He's been like this for a while now." Uriel admitted. Aziraphale raised his eyebrow.

"Do you know what it's about?" He was pushing it now, and shouldn't be, but Aziraphale just went with it.

"No idea." Michael sighed.

"Hm. Well, I'll be off now." Aziraphale said, before walking off a little in the direction of the exit. Then, after only one or two steps, he turned, "the circumstances when he is like that, um, are they related? You don't have to tell me of course..." he trailed off.

"Never thought of it like that." Uriel said, before glancing at Michael and Sandalphon for ideas.

"Actually, thinking about it, he always seems to get like that is when he is going to see Beelzebub or something." Sandalphon realised, speaking it aloud. The 4 angels exchanged glances.

"One time, I brought them up and he got really defensive of them." Michael said, following the trail. Aziraphale thought for a moment.

"I saw them together in London once." He said. This conversation seemed to have gone in a totally different direction from what he had expected.

The Archangels and Principality all gazed over to the direction Gabriel had gone.

"Oh well, I had best be off." Aziraphale said, before leaving properly this time. He was stopped by Michael.

"There is a chance that this is something, and we'll look into it, but it might be nothing. Don't tell anyone, you know how complicated it could make things." She told him. Aziraphale nodded and smiled politely, and he was free to leave.

~Gabriel's office~
Gabriel opened the door and entered to find the Prince of Hell already waiting for him. He couldn't hide the smile that always emerged whenever he saw Beelzebub.

"Sorry I'm late," he said. He knew he was forgiven when he was pulled into an intimate kiss. He loved the contact, and he loved Beelzebub. He was always so comfortable around them, and enjoyed every chance he got to see them.

Time seemed to stand completely still as their lips touched, although they knew time must be passing. The pleasure made the minutes seem like seconds, and it wasn't fair. The angel and demon had been kissing for at least 5, maybe 10 minutes by now, and they were indescribably thankful for the fact they didn't need air.

They were both still stood up, and had their arms wrapped desperately around one another. They wanted to be closer, but that was not possible, which disappointed them. A few minutes in, Beelzebub completely took their feet off the ground and Gabriel picked them up a bit so they were the same hight. Gabriel secretly loved Beelzebub's short hight, he thought it was cute, or sweet, but he would never tell them that. He noticed, though, how Beelzebub didn't seem to mind the obviousness of being picked up.

They clung onto each other, enjoying the tenderness of the intimate contact. They didn't even hear the knock, or the door opening. Nor did they notice the 3 other Archangels staring at them from the doorway. They continued kissing, powerfully, delicately. They were pushed forcefully against each other, and the Archangels left. They carried on the contact for a while more, before pulling away and enjoying the rest of the time together with suspiciously little interruptions compared to normal.
