Alex when you and Charles are teaching him how to control his mutation.

"Are you serious?" Alex asked in disbelief, as yourself and Charles stood either side of a manikin.

"Deadly." Charles answered, a small smile playing across his lips.  

"Alex, you've been training for ages. You can do this. I believe in you." You smiled at him, he grimaced but nodded.

The three of you got ready as Alex started to concentrate. The a beam of red light shot out form his chest and hit the manikin. You and Charles flinched away slightly. Alex let out a loud 'whoop'. You looked from the manikin to him. He had a wide grin across his face.

"Well done, I knew you could do it!" You exclaimed, walking over to him as Charles extinguished the burning manikin.

"Thanks." He smiled, pulling you closer to him and placing his lips against yours.
