"We're finally here," I breathed out a sigh of relief. That plane ride really had me shook up.

"Come on," Brian said as he helped grab my bags," let's get going. You must be pretty tired from the time change. I know I am."

"Yeah, I guess I am."

"Hey," he placed his hand on my shoulder,"are you okay? I know this whole this is very new and very big for you. Are you sure you want to stay? We could have you sent back in a heartbeat."

"No, I'm fine. I just think I need some sleep."

We all piled into the limo and I laid back, resting my head on Brian's lap. We talked for about twenty minutes. But once he started to play with my hair, I stood no chance. It was so relaxing. And I eventually fell asleep.

----

"Elle, get up," Brian whispered as he shook me to get me up.

I sat up, a bit frazzled and unaware of my surroundings. I thought the whole trip was a dream but it wasn't. I couldn't believe I was in England.

I slid out of the limo and followed behind Brian and the rest of the band. I looked around at the house they were staying at. it was pretty darn magnificent.

The grass was vibrant and healthy, giving off an earthy glow. The bushes and trees were newly trimmed and well-kept. in the middle of the walkway it separated into two sides that curved around a fountain and met back together at the end, continuing on until it got to the burgundy and gold door.

Freddie stuck the key in the knob and opened up the door. He smiled then said,"Welcome home."

I let out a sudden burst of laughter and everyone stared at me with confused looks on their faces. But they kept moving on into the house.

"Would you like a tour, love?" Freddie suggested.

"Sounds great."

I was led to every room in the house, which took forever. I was guessing each of them had their own living quarters. Each part of the house seemed to have different themes.

"And this is where you'll sleep," he concluded his tour while opening the door leading into a bright white room with vaulted ceilings and a king-sized bed.

"all for me?" I asked, utterly surprised by the humongous room just for one person to sleep in.

"Yes, love." he replied.

"I think it's bigger than my house."

He chuckled a little and then left, and then Brian came in and dropped my bags off.

"Do you need help unpacking?" he asked.

"Nah, I'll be fine. I am a little hungry though. When's lunch?"

"You mean dinner?"

"Oh, yeah. Sorry. I think I'll need a nap, too."

"Really? You had that long snooze on the ride here!"

I just stared at him. I really was exhausted and felt like crap. I just wanted to fall asleep until I caught up to the time change. So I did.

----

"Elle, wake up."

I slowly opened my eyes, sat up, and stretched. I looked around and saw Brian poking my shoulder.

"Man, you slept for a long while. it's almost ten o'clock!"

"What?"

"Yeah. You missed dinner. I tried to wake you up. But don't worry. We saved you some food."

"Oh, goodness. Thank you."

I got up, slid across the hardwood floor of the door and shuffled to the kitchen. On the table laid a plate of steak and vegetables. I was so excited to have a tasty meal. I hadn't eaten the whole day because I was too nervous to eat when we were on the plane.

I was stuffing my mouth with food when John came in. He didn't see me at first and opened the fridge in search of a late night snack. when he closed the door, he and I made eye contact.

"Don't worry," he said,"I did the sane thing during dinner. Tastes good, right?"

I nodded because I didn't want to talk with my mouth full.

"You know who made it?" he asked.

"Who?" I answered, swallowing my food.

"Brian. He's a great cook, you know. You're a lucky one."

"But I thought he was a vegetarian. Would he cook meat?"

"He cooks it. He just doesn't eat it."

"That stinks. I don't think I could ever be without meat. I mean, bacon, turkey, beef? How could you not want to eat that?"

"Who knows? Well, good night. And enjoy your meal."

"Thanks."

He walked away leaving me in silence. I've always wanted to talk to John. He seemed very quiet. But he seemed nice, too.

I quickly finished up the rest of my meal and cleaned everything up. Just then, Roger came in.

"You didn't have to clean up that mess. We have people for that," he exclaimed.

"Nah. I like doing my own things, by myself."

"Well, that's good. A hard worker. You hear that, Brian?" he yelled upstairs.

I just smiled and shook my head. I climbed up the steps to my room and closed the door to get dressed.

I had my shirt taken off and was starting to unbutton my pants when Brian opened the door. I let out a surprised scream and Brian immediately closed the door, repeating his apologies.

As soon as I got dressed I opened up the door. But Brian wasn't there, or anywhere near there. I was searching everywhere when I stopped Freddie to ask where he had gone.

"Hey, Freddie. Have you seen Brian around?"

"Oh, yes. He went on the balcony. Seemed to be in distress or something."

I thanked him and went on my way. I opened the glass sliding door leading to the balcony and walked toward Brian.

"Oh, Elle. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean-"

"Brian," I tried to sound serious to scare him but ended up laughing," didn't your mother ever teach you to knock before entering a room?"

He blushed and then turned away.

"I just feel like an idiot."

"You're not an idiot, Brian. You're an astrophysicist for goodness sake."

"But with you. I just feel like I don't deserve you. You're just so perfect in every way, and then there's me."

"I'm nowhere near perfect. If anything, I don't deserve you. You're a famous musician. It was completely by chance that we even met."

"Just chance, huh? I guess so, with such a situation as that one."

"I guess. Well, I guess I should be going to bed now."

"Me too," he yawned," goodnight," he smiled, pulling me in for a hug. Then he kissed me on the forehead and sent me on my way.

I got to my room, closed the door, and flopped onto the bed. I didn't even bother getting under the sheets.

----

I had a dream that night and I remembered it vividly.

It started off normally. I was sitting at home reading a book. My mom came in and I said hello. But there was no reply from her. I got up and went to give her a hug but she walked right through me.

Then Cassie came in. I excitedly ran up to her to say hello. But she, as my mother had done, walked right through me as though I was a ghost.

The door opened one more time. It was Thomas. I didn't bother saying hello. But this time it was different. He saw me. He didn't walk through me like the others. He grabbed me and pushed me to the ground and I screened for help, but no one could hear me.

I saw my father standing over me, watching me wrestle for my life. But he wouldn't help me. He saw me, because we made eye contact and he mouthed some words. But I couldn't make out what he was saying.

Everything after that was a blur though. I vaguely remembered Thomas trying to get my clothes off. But I wasn't sure if the was part of the dream, or in this case a nightmare, or memories of the past.

I woke up in a cold sweat, breathing heavily. I started sobbing, but tried not to wake everyone up. It was two in the morning, after all.

But apparently Roger heard me and stepped into my room.

"Are you okay? I heard crying." he asked.

I didn't want to lie, so I answered,"No, actually. I just-"

I started to cry again.

"Don't worry. I'll get Brian for you." He said, about to leave the room."

"No, please," I pleaded," I don't want to wake him up. And I sure as hell don't want him to see me like this."

"Then I'll just leave you alone then. If you need me, I'm just down the hall."

"Um, Roger?"

"Yeah?"

"No, never mind. It's stupid."

"Just tell me. It can't be that stupid."

"Well, do you think you could get me some hot tea? But if it's too much trouble you don't-"

"No, it's not too much trouble at all. I'll be back in a jiff!"

He came back a few minutes later with a mug of tea.

"I hope you like it with honey because that's what I put in it."

I took a sip and immediately felt better.

"It's good, thank you. I'm sorry if I was a bother. It's just that tea always helps me get to sleep and it calms me down."

"Well, if you need anything else, I'm here."

"Wait."

He stopped in his tracks.

"Why are you up so early?"

"Um, I had to go to the bathroom."

I could hear the lie in his voice. But I decided to let it slide because I really wanted to get back to sleep, even though I was a bit afraid to have another nightmare. But before I knew it, I was sleeping again and wasn't bothered by anymore weird dreams.
