I rushed down the stairs and out the door, not even checking to see if Brian had followed. I was so thankful that Cassie lived so close. I hated running.

As soon as I step foot on her porch, I knocked on the door. Cassie opened it up with a smile on her.

"I have something to tell you!" She squealed in excitement.

"I do, too."

"Ok, but me first!"

"Sure, go ahead."

"I'm going," she made a long suspenseful pause,"to," and another,"Spain, to study abroad!"

My eyes widened in surprise. I hadn't expected that.

"For how long?" I asked.

"A year."

"Wow, well I guess that makes me feel a bit better about what I have to say."

"Well, go on."

"I'm going to England, with Brian."

At first she didn't answer and just stared at me. But then she blurted out her true feelings.

"Holy crap, Elle. Your relationship is really serious now. This is big- no- huge. He must really like you. He's bringing back an American girl!"

We both laughed it off. I gave her a long hug goodbye and we parted ways. I hoped we could meet up during our time in Europe. Sure, Spain isn't the closest to England, but I'm sure we could make things work.

----

We were soon on our way to the airport in Queen's chic limo. I was kind of nervous and unknowingly kept rolling the windows up and down over and over.

"Elle, you okay? You seem a bit tense." Brian asked me.

"I guess I'm a little nervous. I've never been on a plane. What if we crash?"

He chuckled a bit.

"we're not going to crash." He reassured me.

Pretty soon we were at the airport. We were escorted to somewhere in the back where their private jet was.

We boarded and we all took our seats. Everyone seemed so at ease and relaxed that they could finally stop running around everywhere and just breathe.

But I, on the other hand, sat there anxiously. I twisted my hair and tugged and pulled on it, nearly pulling the hairs out of my head.

Luckily Brian came over and sat next to me.

"Here," he said, patting his own shoulder," or do you need a pillow?"

"No, this is fine," I answered leaning my head on his shoulder. And before I knew it, I was actually asleep.

----

I woke up to a sudden jolt. I didn't know where I was at first, and then when I did, I let out a sudden gasp and started to panic.

"Brian," I called, my voice trembling," what was that?"

He smiled and replied," it's just turbulence, dear. It happens all the time."

There was another bump of the plane and I let out a scream.

"Can't they make it stop?" I stammered impatiently, hoping they could make the ride smoother.

"No, I don't think so. It's not that bad, though. Just sit down and relax."

I leaned back and started thinking of peaceful thoughts. It was kind of hard, though, with Freddie across from me snoring as he slept and Roger kicking the back of my chair.

Brian held my hand the rest of the plane ride, reassuring me that everything would be okay. And just when I thought it would never end, we approached our landing sight.

I started to tense up again as we made our descent. I clenched Brian's hand as the wheels grazed the pavement and finally came to a halt.

We were given the all clear and grabbed our bags and made our way out of the plane.

As I walked down the steps, the cool spring breeze swept across my face and I could feel the cool, crisp air. Much different from the humid hotness of Southern California.

I stepped onto the pavement and breathed a sigh of relief. I was in England. Finally.
