Brian looked so afraid. But he told the driver to proceed as we took our seats. The bus was surprisingly quiet and not many people asked for pictures or autographs.
"So, Elle," Cassie started,"are you two official yet?"
Brian must've overheard because he turned and had a weird look on his face. I had to whisper back,"no, I don't think so. But he said he wanted to take me out to dinner whenever-"
"WHAT?" She blurted out,"are you serious?"
By now, everyone's eyes were on us. It was dead silent and just very awkward.
"Ssh, Cass. It's not that big of a deal."
"Not that big of a deal? This is huge!"
"I think you need to sit down, Cass. Please. You're making a scene."
She looked around and finally realized how loud she was being.
"Sorry, everyone. I just heard some exciting news. So, yeah. I'm just gonna sit down now."
It was a short ride. We were the first people to get off. The driver dropped us off at the back entrance because we were with Brian.
"So, love, we've got about an hour or two till this next gig starts. I know the lads will be angry with me for arriving very late, but I think I've got a good enough excuse."
"Yeah," I answered,"I'm sure they'll understand."
All three of us went down the hall to the room where the rest of the band members were. As soon as the door opened, Brian was greeted with sarcastic remarks and harsh jokes. We all gave each other hugs and I introduced Cassie to everyone.
"So," Roger came over to me,"Brian stayed with you last night?"
"Yeah, but we didn't do anything, I swear."
"Sure. I believe you." He said with a wink and walked away.
"Elle, do you think I could talk to you alone?" Brian asked, sounding a bit worried.
"Sure."
He led me into his dressing room. I was kind of confused of what he needed to talk to me about. I was actually kind of scared.
"So what's up, Brian?"
"Well, I'm kind of concerned about Thomas-"
"Brian, I took care of it. You were right there with me. You saw him apologize."
"I know. But-"
"It's fine. If he bothers me again, I'll call the police. That sound fair?"
"But what if he actually does something next time. You know..."
"Stop worrying, Brian. I'll be okay. The situation has been resolved."
"Ok..."
He came in and gave me a hug. I was starting to pull away, but he kept his arms around me. He stared me straight in the eyes. His face started to move closer to mine. I could feel his warm breath and his curls tickled my face. He continually got closer and closer, very slowly. Our lips barely brushed together when the door was swung open by Freddie.
"Brian," he yelled,"we've got to practice these songs. Get out here."
"Sorry," he gently whispered to me then answered Freddie,"I'll be right out."
He let me go and went to grab his guitar. As he came over, he started to bobble over and lose his balance.
"You okay, Brian?"
"Uh, sure. I think so. Just feeling a bit off."
Then he grabbed my hand and we ran to the stage. Cassie was already waiting there for me.
"Elle, I'm so ready for this concert,"she stammered. "I can't believe I get to stay in the stage."
"Wonderful, isn't it? It was amazing last night. You're going to love it."
We both sat and talked while the band practiced. When they started letting in all the fans, we were led backstage.
Out conversation had to come to an end because of the loud booming noises. But it was okay. We were both lost in the music.

The concert ended as quickly as it started. It still felt powerful, but not as much as yesterday's.
The boys came over and conversed for quite a while. They decided they were only going to spend thirty minutes with their VIP fans. I could understand why. They looked exhausted.
Brian came over to me, not seeming like his bubbly self.
"Elle, I don't feel so well. I ought to go back to the hotel because I'm not holding up so well."
"My house has an extra bedroom if you would like to stay again."
"Well, if that's alright with your mother then sure. I just really need some rest."
"Great."
I called Cassie over and we caught another bus. We walked Cassie to her house.
We were walking, almost running, to my house when Brian shrieked in pain.
"Elle, please, slow down. I told you I'm not feeling very-"
And then he collapsed onto me, his whole body limp. It was a good thing he was so skinny and light, or else I wouldn't have been able to keep him up.
"Brian?" I lightly smacked his face to wake him up, but he wouldn't. I could feel tears starting to well up in my eyes and I was scared for him. I had to get him to a hospital, and quick.
