Introduction
It's March 27, 1990. Debbie Kingston, 30 year old mother to two twin boys, Daniel, Dustin and her oldest Daymon are getting ready for bed time in their Taylor Ranch Home. Debbie had to be up early the next day to get her youngest to her mom Zelda's house as Debbie is a elementary teacher at Mojave Elementary in Albuquerque, NM. Daymon was a kindergartener at the school Debbie taught at.
Debbie got the kid's lunches ready, read them their bed time stories and headed to her room to do her new normal routine since she recently separated from her husband, David.
"Good night babies," Debbie said as she turned off the lights in her boy's bedroom.
"Mommy please don't turn the lights off I'm scared," Dustin whined.
"There is nothing to be afraid of baby," Debbie said carressing his forehead.
"What if the monsters get us?" Daniel asked sleepily.
"This night light," Debbie said pointing to the wall," will protect you always."
"Sleep well mommy," Daymon said.
"Good night mommy," Dustin said yawning.
"Good night babies," Debbie said blowing kisses and shutting the door.
Debbie did her usual walk around the house. There had been a break in a few doors down in the last few weeks and because she was a woman, Debbie was scared she could be targeted with her kids.
The phone rang and it was Debbie's mom Zelda.
"Hello?" Debbie asked.
"Hi baby," Zelda responded on the other end.
"Is something wrong?" Debbie asked concerned playing with her necklace.
"No nothing is wrong. I just wanted to double-check and make sure the boys will be coming tomorrow," Zelda replied.
"Yes momma. I'll drop them off at 7:15 like usual before heading to school with Daymon," Debbie replied yawning.
"Ok baby I love you. Have a good night. See you tomorrow," Zelda said.
Debbie hung up the phone and went to her room. She got changed for bed and drifted off to sleep. Little did she know, someone else had different plans that night.
