«Το συναίσθημα που μπορεί να σπάσει την καρδιά σας είναι μερικές φορές το ίδιο που την θεραπεύει.»

The emotion that can break your heart is sometimes the very one that heals it.

"Okay, what the fuck- Oww!" Ara received a light smack from Jin for cursing.

"Yah! I'm still confused. Are you sure you're not Yoongi's sister? You two do almost everything alike," he scoffed, and Ara giggled.

"I know, right!" Mina and Namjoon said together, and Ara turned to them again. Mina bit her lips nervously as she held onto Namjoon's arm.

"So, care to explain when 'that' happened?" Ara asked, pointing to their interlaced arms.

Mina and Namjoon exchanged glances before shyly looking away. "W-we..." Mina started, "went to Joon's parents' party together and..." she trailed off.

"It just kinda happened, I guess." Namjoon completed for her, and Ara scoffed playfully.

"Okay, either way, I don't want the details. Oh, and when Yoongi comes back, tell him that he needs to go through the lyrics once more. Seung Cheol's coming by tomorrow to practice here since the studio is gonna be occupied for this whole week," she informed, and Mina nodded.

"Wait, where are you going then?" Namjoon asked, raising an eyebrow. Mina, too, stopped in her tracks and smirked suggestively at her cousin.

"What the f- I mean, it's nothing, Mina. We're just going to take a walk in the park," she smiled through her gritted teeth, and Mina chuckled. She then pulled Jin by the arm and rushed out of the house, closing the front door behind them.

"Don't mind her. She's just so used to teasing me, it's become a part of her daily routine." She sighed, and Jin chuckled.

"It's okay, Ara." He smiled, and she nodded shyly.

"So, did Hobi talk to you about anything before Yoongi showed up?" Ara asked him, wanting to start up a conversation on their way to the park.

"Uhh, yeah, he did say a bunch of things, actually. Yoongi arrived a little later than he was called for, so Hobi had some time to talk." Jin asserted, and Ara laughed.

"He was freaking out back at home. That's why he was late," Ara said, and Jin nodded with a slight chuckle.

"I'd figured. So, yeah, Hobi..." he started, "he told me stuff about how his parents might react when they find out that his soulmate is a guy. He was freaking out, too, to be fair. He cried a lot, actually, wondering if he'll ever be able to go back to his own life where these problems don't bother him, but Hobi knew that it'd hurt Yoongi if he keeps avoiding him like this. That's the reason he made up his mind to talk to him once and for all," Jin explained as Ara listened attentively.

"I hope Yoongi doesn't come back home crying. He's always been the strongest and most supportive of my friends. It hurts to see him hurting. I know Hobi's hurting too, but I think both of them should figure things out together rather than pushing things aside for later, or maybe never." Ara sighed as they reached the entrance of the park.

Jin gestured for her to go first, and she giggled as she made her way through the gates of the public park.

"And, everyone who knows Hobi is asking me if something happened to him. He's usually the all-around happy guy with weird aegyos and stuff, but lately, he's been so out of it that people in the cafe are starting to notice something's undeniably wrong." Jin sighed loudly as the two of them sat down at an empty park bench.

"I'm sure they'll both come around. I mean, look at Mina and Namjoon, for example!" She chuckled. "They've known they're soulmates for quite some time, but they decided to stay friends and band members only. It won't take long before the sparks between them start flying, and their feelings take the best of them," she smiled, and Jin nodded, deep in thought.

'Will that be the same case for us too, Ara?' He asked in his head.

He watched her as she admired the scenery and the beauty of the trees and plants around them.

She had a beautiful smile, he had noticed. Her copper, ombre hair was long and draped loosely over her shoulders. Her amber shaded eyes shone in the sunlight or even in the darkest of starry nights.

"Jin?" Her sudden voice called him out of his thoughts of admiration.

"Y-yeah? Sorry, did y-you say s-something?" He asked as he cleared his throat and sat up straight.

She chuckled, and a light blush dusted her cheeks. "Jin, I asked you if you wanna get some coffee now. I mean, we're barely doing any talking here, so maybe we should go to a more comfortable place?" She asked, and he nodded.

"Yeah, sure. I'm sorry, I zoned out pretty bad," Jin rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment and, Ara shook her head.

"It's all good, Jin. Stop apologizing for silly things," she chuckled, and he hummed as the two made their way to a nearby café.

Ara and Jin sat at a corner table in a café, across each other as they quietly sipped on their drinks. The silence wasn't uncomfortable or awkward, but it was oddly calm.

"So," Ara spoke first, "you like playing video games?" She was looking at her wrist where the soulmark was imprinted.

He laughed, and Ara smiled, eagerly waiting for his response. "Yeah, I do. I play a lot of Mario. Do you know how to play Mario?"

Ara laughed this time as she shook her head playfully. "Do I know how to play? My brother and I play Mario a lot, and I win all the time!" She had a playfully proud look on her face. "Our soulmarks are supposed to be things that we both like in common, so that was pretty obvious, silly!"

"Wah, you should compete with me someday! I've always been playing with newbies and beginners, but I need a competition!" He pouted, and she nodded happily.

"And, I'm guessing you're into singing?" Ara asked him, and he nodded.

"Acting, actually. But, I like singing too, even though I may not be that good at it," Jin admitted, and Ara scoffed playfully.

"Yeah, right. I'm sure you're good at singing."

"Okay, I'm not gonna argue with you cause I know I can't lose to Min Yoongi's twin sister!" He laughed, and Ara raised an eyebrow at him.

"How many times do I have to tell-" "That you're not Yoongi's sister, I know," he interrupted her as he laughed again, and Ara rolled her eyes playfully.

"Do you sing too, or only rap?" He asked, and Ara shrugged.

"I'm more into rapping, but yeah, I can sing. I just don't like to cause I'm quite literally not good at it," Ara stressed on the last part, and Jin chuckled in amusement.

"Stop laughing so much, oh my G-"

She was cut off when a few loud gasps and cheers erupted from the shop in almost all directions. The two of them looked around them and saw people staring at the big TV in the café.

"Hello, we are BTS."

Girls started screaming and swooning over the three boys who were on the TV screen, and a smile lit up Jin's face as he watched the TV in awe.

"I'm Kim Taehyung, the leader of BTS. This is Park Jimin, the oldest, and Jeon Jungkook, the maknae. We hope all of you are doing good. As you know, we've been training for a year now to become a new K-pop boyband. However, we cannot debut without at least four members. So, there's gonna be an audition for joining the three of us to form BTS. If you're interested, please go to the official website of BigHit Entertainment and register for the audition, which will take place next week. Thank you very much, and we hope to see some of you guys soon."

Ara smiled to herself, but when she turned to Jin, her smile grew bigger.

"Jin?"

He'd been staring longingly at the screen before Ara called him out of his dreaminess.

"Yeah? Sorry, I-I just..." he trailed off as he took a sip of his drink.

Ara chuckled and asked him, "Do you like BTS?"

"Like them? Ara, are you kidding me? I love them! I know they haven't debuted yet, but everything about those three boys just screams pure talent!" He gushed, and Ara smiled, seeing his enthusiasm.

"Wow. Well, you're not wrong, though. Taehyun has been gushing about them ever since BigHit announced the formation of BTS!" Ara smiled, and Jin nodded.

Before either of them could talk again, Ara's phone rang, and she looked at Jin apologetically.

"It's alright, you can take it."

She picked up the phone, it was Taehyun. With a smile on her face, she answered it.

"Hey, Tae! What's up? I was literally just talking about you," she chuckled.

"NOONA!" He yelled through the line as Ara pulled the phone away from her ear and chuckled before bringing it back up close. "Noona! Did you see the news? BTS just came on TV, oh my God! Did you see them? Did you see them?" He prattled excitedly, and she chuckled.

"Yes, sweetie. I did."

"Ahh, anyways, Noona! Remember, I told you about our school planning to open a new campus here in Seoul? They've preponed the transfer dates, and we'll be moving here sooner than expected! That means that you'll get to meet my friends probably next week!" He giggled cutely, and Ara hummed.

"Oh wow, that's amazing, Tae! I'll finally get to meet the four amazing boys who make my baby so happy, huh?" She laughed softly, and he hummed in response.

"Yep! Okay, Noona! I'm sorry for disturbing your date, teehee, bye!" He snickered, and Ara's cheeks turned red at the sudden teasing.

He ended the call, but Ara was still recovering from the fast pacing of her heartbeat.

Was this a date?

Come to think of it, it sure looks like one.

"Ara, you okay?" Jin disrupted her thoughts, and she nodded as she smiled at him.

"Just fanboy things. Taehyun's a huge fan of BTS, too," she chuckled, and he smiled lovingly. "Anyways, are you planning on going for the audition? You should try out, you know? I mean, I'm pretty sure you're good at singing," she suggested, and Jin shook his head.

"No, no, no! I'm not gonna audition!" He shook his head vigorously, and Ara frowned.

"Why not?" She asked, and he sighed.

"I just don't want to, Ara. I'm not gonna audition."

He seemed serious about it as the smile went away, replacing it with a stern look. The atmosphere around them suddenly turned austere as Ara looked out the window, slowly sipping on her drink.

Jin could sense the change in the mood as he looked up at her and sighed.

"Ara, I-"

But before his words came to an end, both their phones rang again. The two of them looked at each other before picking up their phones simultaneously.

Ara was called by Namjoon, and Jin had been called by his father, Mr. Kim.

"Hey, Joonie! What's up?"

"Ara! You won't believe what just happened! Come home, quick!"

"Huh?"

Meanwhile, with Jin...

"Y-yes, Appa?"

"Jin," his voice seemed tense, which raced Jin's heartbeat in anxiety. "Come home, son. Your mother is not feeling well."

"W-what?" His eyes filled up with tears. "Y-yes, Appa. I-I'll be there soon."
