synopsis.

Sunny Finch is a girl born in a world of mystery and with a world of trying, wants to become good at deducing. Everyone else in her family is. Private investigators, detectives, forensic psychologists - they've done it all and more. It's genetic. Apparently. Because Sunny doesn't have it. Her knack for deducing can't even figure out oranges and ponkans.

Enter Kit Pouliot, the son of an actor and an explorer, both used to creativity and adventure, and though he' s dreamt of becoming a journalist, he's dyslexic at his worst and ADHD at his messy best.

Sunny is set on solving something. Kit wants to write whatever adventures Sunny goes into. So when murdered bodies start to pile up in the tiny town of Phryne Touk turn out to be a serial killing... well, Sunny and Kit are on to it.

You'd be surprised how old this actually is.

Basically, this is a morphed baby of the first version and second version of GMSF. This is quirky in a weird, less dark, satirical humour about sleuths. Because we always, almost see so-sure, smartass sleuths who are confident and brainy and has nearly an ambiguous sexuality. Or one who is an alcoholic and has dark parts of him. Or young sleuths who are just plain geniuses.

I wanted to work on a sleuth that wants it, that aspires it, but has no idea of what sleuth is and really does. The dangers it posses. And also, a sleuth who is incredibly introverted, one who only dreams of it in books and has never escaped the pages.

But of course, how do you suppose someone who is buried in the books and is too shy to do any actual interviews, be a sleuth? Meet her best friend who does probably everything for her.

An important note: because this is 60% dialogue story, it's going to be a bit of a slow start.
