Kaia is a very passionate person, she has a lot of love for her friends, family and hobbies, she puts 101% into everything and never half does something. Kaia loves the water, she was raised in Hawaii by her uncle and grandmother, as a child whenever Kaia succeeded in school, her Uncle Davis would take her surfing and then out to get some ice cream, Kaia being an straight A student, Kaia went surfing a lot and became really good at it.

Kaia was always a curious child, she had so many questions and no one who could answer them. Kaia always wanted to know about her father but she could never ask about him because neither her grandmother or uncle met him, similarly with her mother, Kaia could never ask about Lorelei because it hurt too much for her grandmother to talk about her. Kaia always got frustrated whenever she had a question that couldn't be answered. Kaia never gives up trying to find answers, even when it appears that Kaia has forgotten about a question, she hasn't, secretly that question, that curiosity is still roaming around in her mind and appears every now and then.

Kaia is very emotionally aware, she's skilled at picking up on her own emotions and others, because of this Kaia sometimes goes into miss fix-it mode and tries to solves everyone's problems but that usually evens up making things worse. Kaia was born in Hanapepe, Hawaii, her mother, Lorelei was a marine biologist. Lorelei was 25 when she had Kaia, she never knew about the identity of Kaia's father but that didn't matter because she loved the memories she had with him.
When Kaia was 2 Lorelei passed away. Kaia's grandmother became Kaia's legal guardian after her mother's death. Kaia's grandmother was an old but loving woman, her time of children had long been over but she tried to make her granddaughter feel like she wasn't missing out. Solana had a lot of health issues, meaning that Kaia's uncle, Davis, had to step up. Davis was only 17 when Lorelei passed, meaning he was 15 years older than Kaia. A lot of the time Davis felt like a brother to Kaia, someone she could always turn to. When Kaia was 9, Davis left Hawaii, he moved to New York. Kaia didn't handle Davis moving away well, she left like he abandoned her and her grandmother.
3 years after Davis moved away, her grandmother passed and Davis became her only living family member. Davis couldn't move back to Hawaii, he had a new job, a girlfriend and an infant baby girl, Kaia moved to New York and for the past 5 years that's where she's lived.

While Percy takes after the better parts of Poseidon's power, Kaia takes after the opposite.
"Earthshaker," "Stormbringer," these are all words that describe Kaia's unfortunate genetical powers. When Kaia gets angry (which isn't common) she can make the ground shake, causing major damage and earthquakes if she isn't careful.
She can also breathe under water, although her control of water is limited. Kaia can make ripples appear but nothing as powerful as what her half-brother can do.

Seriously annoyed. You're telling Kaia that she ends up finding out who her father is and he and his family now want to KILL HER??? WHY?! Kaia hates the prophecy and honestly couldn't care less about being a God. (Kaia's also in the middle of an identity crisis because she's originally atheist)
