college had start to become much more stressful than yun wanted to admit. work was just piling and piling, her mom was still calling her everyday to tell her the exact same thing over and over, and she was still conflicted about her feelings for hyunjin. going to a party was going to help none of those things, but she decided she was going to go anyways.

danbi and chenle were hanging out, texting daily as if they were good friends. haechan was still complaining about how yun hadn't texted him back, but didn't text her after that to save himself from further embarrassment.

even though they definitely did not need anymore distractions in their lives, ren and yun got very high and danbi drove them to target as promised. the two walked into the place trying to act as normal as possible, though it was likely not working because they couldn't stop thinking about how they were trying too hard to look normal.

it took danbi one look at them for her to break out into silent laughter, covering her mouth to ensure she wasn't being loud.

"what is so funny?" yun asked, knowing it was her but hoping it wasn't.

"nothing, let's shop." the girl quickly changed the topic, linking her arm around yuns as they mindlessly walked around the store.

"did you guys know target sells vibrators?" ren suddenly spat out, earning looks from the two girls. when they didn't respond, she scratched her head awkwardly.

as they approached an aisle full of snacks, yun practically began to drool. she hadn't considered that she would most likely get the munchies after smoking so much. danbi watched as the girls intently scanned every single snack in the isle, trying to find the perfect one.

it wasn't long before ren groaned, "there's literally nothing good here. all they have is fucking salt and vinegar chips. that's disgusting."

yun gasped, nearly breaking her neck to look in her direction. "i can't believe you just said that."

"you eat those?! nasty freak..."

yun gasped again, this time much louder than the first, danbi laughing at her reaction and grabbing both of their arms to pull them out of the aisle. "alright, moving on."

they quickly fell into the clothing section of the store, the three of them getting so immersed in the clothes that they became super quiet. yun picked up a few items she liked before her arms got too heavy.

"we probably should've grabbed a cart." she mumbled.

danbi chuckled at her and finished up grabbing whatever she grabbed, along with ren.

"should we get one?" she suggested, the others nodding in agreement. yun began walking towards the shopping carts, not paying any mind. it told took a millisecond for her to trip over her own foot and stumble onto the floor, the things in her arms sprawling across the ground.

she didn't even move from the spot, just sitting there and looking at her friends with a hand over her mouth. ren and danbi began laughing so hard, they were weak in the knees. the girls face was flushed bright red from embarrassment, although there were only about two employees watching it go down.

"get up, people are staring," danbi urged, starting to get second hand embarrassment.

"i'm gone." yun replied, her eyes half closed due to fact that she was gone.

"excuse me," a target employee suddenly came up to the three of them, startling them. "if you don't buy those items, i'm gonna have to ask you to leave the store."

yun quickly gathered everything back in her arms and stood up quickly.

"oh, fuck off," ren mindlessly cursed, not caring about the consequences.

the employees eyes went wide and he opened his mouth to speak, but danbi spoke up before he could. "we're so sorry. she didn't mean that, we'll check out now."

ren kept her glare at the guy as danbi hurriedly pulled the two away in embarrassment. she found the situation hilarious, but knew she had to keep her composure so they wouldn't get kicked out before they could even buy anything.

"okay, check out, then home," she scolded with her parent voice.

"can we stop somewhere to eat, though? i'm starving and i have the munchies." yun asked.

"yes. but then, home."

as they made their way over to cash out, yun noticed two familiar boys walking in their direction. at first she thought she was seeing things, but quickly recognized them as jaemin and mark.

"are you fucking serious?" she whispered to herself, ren having heard her.

"what? oh." yun didn't even have to answer her when ren spotted them as well. it was too late to turn and run because they were already on their way to pass the three.

jaemin had no interest in greeting them, as he found it awkward, but mark being the overly friendly person he was, waved his hand.

"hi guys!" he enthusiastically greeted them.

"hey! mark, right? and jaemin?" danbi spoke back.

mark nodded. "how's it going? i've seen you around ncit but we haven't really gotten the chance to talk."

at this point they'd now been stopped in the middle of the store to make small talk. yun and ren were far too high to make a full conversation, and jaemin stood there awkwardly with his hands shoved in his pockets.

"it's good, yeah. uh, are you guys going to the neos party? chenle invited me."

"hell yeah. we'll see you there, right?" mark grinned.

"for sure." danbi sent a friendly smile to them and they finally walked away from each other. yun and ren admittedly hated the entire encounter, but knew that danbi couldn't help herself. she was just a talkative person like that.

"they definitely know we're high," ren sighed as they approached the checkout line.

"i hate to break it to you, but you guys are way more obvious than you think."
