Chapter 10: Putting On A Show

I couldn't really fall back to sleep after the encounter I had with Ian. Any other girl would probably kill to be in my shoes. They would probably be like an love struck puppy smiling as they thought about the kiss.

Don't get me wrong I'm not going to lie I probably enjoyed the kiss more than Ian had. At first I was shocked, and then lust took over. During the kiss I didn't care about anyone else. I didn't care that I had a boyfriend. I didn't care that my brother might beat the crap out of Ian. But after he left and headed up stairs (most likely to crash in my brothers room) the only feelings I had were worry and regret. I couldn't stop thinking about that smile he gave me. Like he knew something I didn't.

I was putty in his hands.

I turned around and watched as the light from outside started shining threw the slight opening of my curtains.

"Forget it" I finally said sitting up on my bed. Running my fingers through my hair I looked at the clock that read 7:30am.

Signing in defeat I decided to get up and get dressed for the day. I knew no one else would be up because it was Sunday. Mom usually left for work around 5am. I also knew my brother probably have an major hangover from last night.

Being the sweet kind innocent sister I am you would expect me to be as quite as possible so that my loving brother could sleep.

NOT!

Getting out of bed with a sinister smile on my face I put my iPhone on its dock turning the volume up as loud as it could go I opened my door. Snickering, I pressed the play button and at first I was stunned by volume myself but my ears quickly adjusted. Crazy kids by Ke$ha was booming through my system.

Peaking my head in the Hallway I heard a groan and shuffle coming from my brothers room. So I made a dash for it as quickly as I could I grabbed the brush off my dresser and started jumping on my bed pretending to keep myself occupied.

I was facing the window my back to the door screaming to the top of my lungs. "We are, we are, we are-" My music was rudely cut off.

A smile crept onto my lips. "It's about time you woke up-" I stopped mid-sentence once I saw who stood in my room.

Why won't this boy go away?

"Oh." Was all I said before taking a seat on my bed.

"You're dance moves are pretty great and I loved the view. but could you please wait till it's not 7 in morning to pull your ridiculous pranks?" Ian said smirking. He was shirtless revealing all of his tattoos, and his hair was all over the place. You would expect someone like Ian to pull off the messy look. I mean he did when he did it intentionally, but right now he was the only one looking ridiculous.

I bit my bottom lip trying to hold back laughter. I knew it wouldn't be long before I erupt.

"What's so funny?" He asked confused.

"Your ha-hair looks like a, like a birds nest." I said pointing and laughing.

"Yeah, well your not much of a beauty queen your self in the morning, princess." He said chuckling.

"Asshole." I said throwing my pillow which hit him dead smack in the face.

"You started it." He said. I didn't see the pillow coming back my way until it was too late. The pillow fell on top of my head blocking my vision. Pulling the pillow off of my head. I saw Ian smirking leaning on my dresser like he had won the war, but the war was far from over.

"Oh, it's so on." I said.

----------------------------------

Ally was sitting on my dresser looking at the mess me and Ian created hours before.

"So are you going to tell me what's on your mind? Or do I have too guess?" Ally said taking a scoop of her ice cream.

"Is it that noticeable?" I said raising an eyebrow and chewing on my bottom lip.

Ally tilted her head and examined my face. "Well," she started her mouth full of ice cream. "No one else would probably notice, but I'm your best friend," She pointed her spoon at me. "Best friends know these things." She stated before licking her spoon.

I covered my face with a pillow and let out a groan before falling back onto my bed.

Ally rolled her eyes and set her empty bowl down on my dresser before hopping off. She made her way over to my bed and plopped down on her stomach next to me.

"Sooo, are you going to tell me what's up?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

"I'm such a bad person." I mumbled through the pillow.

Snatching the pillow away Ally rolled her eyes. "Your such a freaking drama queen."

I glared at her causing her to shrug her shoulders.

I turned on my side to get a better view of her face. "Promise not to judge me." I said looking at her.

"Your talking to the person who made you promise to help hide the body if I ever killed that bitch Sarah." She chuckled.

I frowned. "That was in like 4th grade."

"Hey," Ally said pointing at me. "She was a bitch then and she's a bitch now. No breaking promises. You still have to help hide the body."

I laughed at Ally and bite my bottom lip thinking about the best way I could tell her what happened between Ian and I. Twice. But being the blunt and straight forward person I am, I only knew one way to tell her.

"IcheatedonMikeandkissedIan." My best friends eyes widened in shock. "Twice." I added.

Ally was going to have a field day with this one. I thought to myself.

"Well, say something." I demanded looking at Ally who was obviously still in shock.

She ran a hand through her wavy brown hair. She only did that when she was thinking real hard or shocked. I'm pretty sure it was both right now.

"You sure know how to get to the point." She finally said sitting up. "Shit," she added.

"Oh no, I'm a terrible person." I said plopping back down.

"No, no sit up." Ally said hitting my leg. "Your human. It's part of our nature we make mistakes."

She laughed.

"I knew you were hiding something from me." She said smirking. "I was only shocked because I didn't think it was this big."

My eyes widened with worry.

"Not that it's big at all." She quickly added. "It's just... not something you come out and say... Shit I can't believe you kissed Ian." She whispered the last part to herself.

"Twice." I added.

"Not helping." She said smiling sarcastically.

"What am I going to do!?" I moaned.

"I think you should tell him." She said. She looked at me waiting for me to explode.

But I didn't.

"Your right." I whispered.

It was the right thing for me to do. Plus, keeping my distance from Ian. Which I know is going to be hard since he is my brother's best friend.

"So," Ally chirped happily. "Enough of the sad talk. What are you doing for Norway talent show? I think you should sing your voice is angelic. Who is your partner? I want all the details-"

"Ally what are you talking about!?" I said shaking her to stop her rambling.

Her face dropped. "You've got to be kidding me?"

"What?" I asked.

"How do I know about the talent show and you don't? And I don't even go to the school." She rolled her eyes.

I swear one of these days her eyes are going to be stuck like that.

"What are you talking about?"

She signed at my ignorance and proceeded to talk. "Every year for the last 20 years Norway has held it's mandatory annual talent show for juniors and seniors."

"Mandatory?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Oh come on! You don't remember last year when I asked you to come and you went on and on how it would be great if we could have one?"

I stared at her blankly.

"Anyway," she continued. "Yes, it's mandatory. And they pick your partners for you. I'm surprised you haven't heard. It's usually the talk of the town around here.

"How do you know?" I asked.

"My cousin goes to your school. He says the reason they pick your partners is for you to get ready for the world or some bull crap like that." She said.

I shrugged. "I guess I don't mind I've always wanted to be In a talent show."

Ally gave me a look that said 'Duh'.

"Don't look at me like that." I said.

"I swear sometimes you could be soo naïve." Said shaking her head.

"I'm not naïve." I said acting appalled and playfully pushing her.

"So was the kiss between you and Ian a peck or was it passionate?" She asked nonchalant.
