CHAPTER 24

"I'll get the swords," Jay tells Lonnie as he gets out of the car.

"Okay," Lonnie says before heading over to Mal and Evie. Carlos gets out of the back.

"Oh, Lonnie!" Mal says in shock before they hug.

"I made them bring me," Lonnie explains.

"Oh, I'm so glad," Mal says as Lonnie and Evie hug.

"Hi. Welcome to the Isle. It's good to see you," Evie tells her.

"Thanks," Lonnie says.

"And Dude," Jay says as he grabs the swords from the trunk.

"I told you to stay," Carlos says.

"I flunked obedience class," Dude tells him.

"Great. And he can still talk," Jay says.

"You're lucky I love you. Come on," Carlos says as he picks up Dude.

"Ooh. Here, let me see," Mal says as Carlos walks over with the wand before handing it to her. "Wow, what a beauty."

"It's noon," Jay tells her as he worries about Addy.

"All right. Are we ready?" Mal asks.

"Yeah," Evie says as she holds up the bag with the smoke bombs.

"Let's do this," Mal says before leading them into the tunnel.

"Hey, guys! They're here!" Gil calls out from the crow's nest before climbing down.

"Welcome!" Harry calls as he pushes Ben and pulls Addy.

"Finally!" Uma says with an excited laugh. Mal stands across from Uma, on either side of the walk way. Carlos and Lonnie stand on the walkway behind Mal with Evie and Jay on the walkway above Carlos and Lonnie.

"Let's get this party started

I swear I'm cold hearted

There's no negotiation

I'm not here for debatin'

You need some motivation?

Just look at Ben's face, then ask yourself

How long you think I'll remain patient

I'll throw him overboard

And let him swim with killer sharks

You either hand over the wand, or he'll be ripped apart," Uma sings as Harry walks Ben out onto the plank with Addy behind him.

"Now let's all just be smart

Although for you, that must be hard

You'll get your want

No one has to come to any harm

Don't try to intimidate

Your bark is much worse than your bite

Who's the baddest of them all?

I guess we're finding out tonight," Mal sings as she glares at Uma.

"Let's go, bring it on

Better give us what we want

It's the wand for the crown

If you don't, it's going down," Uma and her crew sing as they dance.

"Let's go, make your move

Peace or war, it's up to you

Give him up and do it now

If you don't, it's going down," The VK's and Lonnie sing before Evie and Jay drop down to where Carlos and Lonnie were. Carlos and Lonnie are now behind Mal.

"We want the wand, or else the king is gone

Your time is running out

You should really watch your mouth," Uma and her crew sing and dance.

"Let's go, pound for pound

We're prepared to stand our ground

Put your swords up

Put 'em up, it's going down," The VK's and Lonnie sing while dancing.

Or walk the plank!" Uma and her crew sing as Harry spins Ben around on the plank. Mal turns to face Carlos and Lonnie as Evie and Jay join them.

"Okay, look, this is not a conversation

It's a do-or-die situation

If you don't give me back the king and advisor

I'll have no hesitation

I'll serve you right here

And I don't need a reservation

That way your whole "pirate crew"

Can have a demonstration

Release them now

And we can go our separate ways

Unless you want to deal with me and the VKs," Mal sings as she walks closer to Uma, who is joined by Harry.

"So that's your big speech, huh?

An empty ultimatum?" Uma sings in question.

"All it takes is one swing, and I'll humiliate him!

Matter of fact, make one wrong move

And I'll debilitate him

And if he even starts to slip, I'll eliminate him

All it takes is one wrong look and I'll..." Harry sings as he walks over to Mal before running the back of his hook down the side of her face before Jay comes to stand behind Mal protectively. Harry makes his way back over to Uma.

"Harry, we get it. Chill," Uma tells him as she pulls him back. Jay also pulls Mal back.

"Let's go, bring it on

Better give us what we want

If you don't, it's going down," Uma and her crew sing and wave swords around.

"Let's go, make your move

Put 'em up, it's going down," The VK's and Lonnie sing before Carlos hands Mal the wand and she walks forward.

"Hey, we don't have to choose," Ben starts sings causing Mal to stop. "We don't have to light the fuse

Mal, whatever you do, it's gonna be a lose-lose

There's got to be a better way

Uma, I promise I'll give you your chance

You'll have your say."

"Silly king, you give me?

You're gonna give me a chance?

Well, not a chance!" Uma sings in reply.

Or walk the plank!" Uma and her crew sing as she makes her way towards Mal.

"Hold up. Mm. Too easy," Uma says as Mal holds out the wand to her. "Why don't you give it a test drive? We want to see it work."

"You always were quite the drama queen," Mal tells Uma with an eye roll.

"Oh, and nothing too big, or else Ben and Addy are fish bait," Uma orders as her crew laughs.

"We're dead," Carlos says quietly to Evie. Before she tells him that Dude is there. Mal turns to look at Carlos and Evie. Carlos nods his head slightly towards Dude.

"Okay," Mal says as she turns to face Dude. "Although it seems absurd, turn your bark into a word!" Mal waves the wand around. "Talk, dog."

"Does this vest make me look fat? Hey, does anyone have some bacon? Cookies?" Dude questions causing Uma's crew to laugh.

"Give me the wand!" Uma orders.

"Give me Ben and Addy!" Mal argues as Jay joins her.

"Harry, bring them over," Uma orders.

"Ooh, um, before you go, tell your mom that Gaston says hi and also tell your dad that my dad wishes he'd finished off your dad when he had the chance," Gil tells Ben quickly as Harry brings them over to Uma. Harry shoves Ben and Addy to their knees beside Uma causing Mal and Jay to look at them worriedly.

"Aw," Uma says sarcastically before holding out her hand for the wand. Mal holds out her hand for Ben's and Jay holds his out for Addy's. "Cut them loose, Harry."

"I never get to have any fun," Harry says as he cuts Ben and Addy loose. Ben grabs Mal's hand and Addy grabs Jay's hand before Mal hands Uma the wand.

"Yes!" Uma cheers as Mal pulls Ben away from Uma.

"Ben, go!" Mal says as she starts pushing Ben back. "Go! Move!" Jay is pulling Addy away.

"Okay, okay. By the power of the sea, tear it down and set us free!" Uma tries using the wand. "No!" Uma breaks the wand over her knee.

"Ben!" Mal says as she continues to try and push Ben away.

"You do not get to win every time!" Uma yells at her.

"Trust me," Mal tells Ben as she shoves him back. Jay pulls the swords out before Carlos starts firing smoke bombs at Uma's crew.

"Ben!" Evie calls as she tosses Ben a sword. Evie then starts fighting a pirate that is on a ladder. Lonnie starts fighting a pirate that is trying to help another pirate up. Mal tosses a pirate over the side of the bridge while the others run past her. Ben starts his own fight and quickly ends it while Carlos starts fighting.

"Hello, Jay. Well, well, well," Harry says as he lands in front of Jay. Addy was busy fighting the pirates behind Jay. Harry takes off his hat before he unsheathed his sword to start fighting Jay. Mal and Uma are fighting.

"Aaah!" Gil yells as he swings to where Ben is. "Hey, Ben." Mal spins Uma away from her as they fight. Evie steps on the pirate's foot before knocking him down. The pirate that Lonnie is fighting finally let's go of the pirate he was trying to help. Lonnie is able to disarm the pirate.

"Here, take mine," Lonnie tells him as she hands her sword to the pirate. She dodges each blow the pirate makes. The pirate aims at her feet but she jumps over it and the pirate drops the sword. Lonnie kicks the pirate back and grabs her sword.

"Amazeballs!" Dude calls out.

"Hi. You miss me?" Mal asks as she gets in Uma's face. Jay and Harry continue fighting and Jay is able to kick Harry's knee making him fall to the floor. Addy is fighting two pirates at once. Addy trips one of them making him fall into the water and starts fighting the other one.

"Let's dance," Evie says as she starts fighting a new pirate. Gil is able to get Ben onto his back.

"Hey, Gil," Carlos calls which distracts Gil. Gil starts fighting Carlos. Carlos blocks Gil's swing. "Get out of here, Ben." Ben runs under the block. Evie is able to disarm the pirate which brings him to his knees.

"Nice scarf. It's mine now," Evie says as she grabs the scarf from the pirate making him spin. Ben then climbs up to her level. "Ben." Harry swipes at Jay's feet but he jumps over it. Harry uses his sword and hook to press Jay's sword back pinning him to a railing. Addy starts making her way to Jay. Jay is able to push Harry back. Harry goes to swing at Jay but Addy hits Harry's sword making it get stuck in the railing. Jay then hits each of Harry's knees before jerking Harry's hook away. Jay laughs as the hook hangs from his sword. Harry is able to get his sword unstuck. Jay makes his way over to the other railing where the water is and puts his sword over the water. Harry drops his sword but Jay drops the hook into the water anyways. Harry grabs his sword before jumping into the water. Addy takes off and is fighting two pirates by the tunnel. Lonnie is a little bit behind her fighting another pirate. Mal is able to disarm Uma and starts running. Uma grabs her sword to follow.

"Uma!" Harry calls and Uma stops. Uma helps Harry out of the water.

"Jay, go start the car," Carlos says as Evie, Jay, and he all meet up.

"I'll meet you guys there," Evie says and Jay runs for the tunnel. Jay runs past Lonnie, who disarms her opponent and follows. Addy disarms one of the pirates she was fighting while Jay takes care of the other one. Jay turns to Addy and motions for her to come on with his head. Addy and Lonnie follow after him.

"Ben, come on. Go!" Mal calls out.

"Mal's mine!" Uma says as she finishes helping Harry. Mal and Uma start fighting again. Ben goes to run but a sword slams into the ladder by his head.

"Hiya," Harry says before he and Ben start fighting with Ben being on the ladder. Ben traps Harry's arm in the ladder.

"Coochy, coochy, coo," Ben says as he rubs Harry's chin. They go back to fighting.

"Carlos! Smoke bomb," Evie yells and Carlos throws her one. Ben and Mal break away from Harry and Uma. Evie throws the smoke bomb in between them. Carlos, Evie, and Ben run through the tunnel. Mal kicks the walk-way down into the water.

"What's my name?

Uma, Uma-la-la-ooh

Say it nowwwwww!" Uma sings as she hits Harry's shoulder. Mal just smirks at Uma before running into the tunnel.
