First Day

"Killua Zoldyck. Expelled from 4 other schools. One for spray painting all the windows black and red." The principal picks up another paper as Killua smiles, proud of what he did. "Another for hosting... a drug cartel?" He picks up another paper as Killua gives a small laugh.

"The best part about that one is when the cops found out. They let me go with a warning," he sits back laughing.

"Another for disrespecting teachers. And lastly another for possessing... a knife?" He looks at 17 year old Killua in disbelief. Killua shrugs his shoulders not sure what Mr. Wing wanted to hear.

"Sorry," Killua offered up to appease the principal.

"I hope you turn your behavior around this year," Mr. Wing, the principal, shows him out of his office.

"Don't bet on it," Killua says as he walked to the front office where the school secretary is. 'I'm always and forever will be a screw up. So why not be remembered as the biggest screw up ever?' Killua thinks with a smile. "So where is locker 978?" The secretary looks over her glasses disapprovingly.

"Wait one moment. We are having a member of the Welcoming Committee come and show you around for the day." Killua looked around her desk and noticed her name plate says Mrs. Chimera. Her red long naturally curled hair gets in her face as she is trying to type something with her red long acrylic fingernails. Or rather she is more than likely pretending to type something seeing she isn't actually pressing down on any keys. 'Clearly she doesn't want to talk to me.' Killua rolls his eyes thinking and takes a seat waiting for this so-called "Welcome Committee" member.

After about 10 minutes of waiting Killua was ready to give up on them. However as he got up to leave the door to the office bursts open and in came a boy Killua's age sweating and out of breath.

"I'm here!" Killua sat back down now interested to see who this other boy is. Killua catches himself staring at the other boys rear end and shook his head to get himself out of his stupor. 'If my family found out I'm gay. I'm as good as dead,' Killua thought. "Oh my gosh I have never been late for anything in my entire life! I'm so sorry! Mrs. Chimera please forgive me. There was traffic on the way here. It was way more than usual. It through off all my calculations on when to leave my house! I'm so sorry Mrs. Chimera!" He said half crying and half hyperventilating so he had a small coughing fit. The boy has huge glasses and braces leaving him to have a lisp that Killua thought was adorable. His hair is jet black and he is wearing all green. Even his shoes are mostly green. 'I guess I know my new favorite color...' Killua thinks while staring at Gon again.

"Gon it's okay. It's okay. Don't get yourself so worked up about it." She says trying to sound consoling but failing. "Over there is the person you'll be showing around," she points towards Killua so he sends a two finger wave to Gon. Gon wipes away some sweat and sniffles as he runs over to where Killua is sitting. Gon looks at the tall silver haired boy with a old Bring Me the Horizon T-shirt on with black ripped skinny jeans.

Killua looks like the kind of kid that would bully Gon so Gon was very hesitant. But he had a moment of weakness and went for it."What's your name? I'm Gon Freecss!" He had a huge smile and held his hand out for Killua to shake.

"Killua," Killua pushes past the Welcome Committee member and walks out of the office. Killua felt a feeling he never felt towards someone before Gon when leaving. 'I...I can't get close. My family will kill him... literally," Killua bows his head at the thought. Gon stands frozen for a second still in the office. The black haired boy never had being rejected like that before. 'Most kids want to be shown around...' Gon thought.

"Wait... Killua?!" Gon runs after Killua is confusion. "I'm suppose to be showing you around. Come on let's me help!" Killua ultimately just wants to leave school but he knows his parents would not be happy with that. Usually he does it anyway but both his mom and dad are coming home tonight according to Illumi.

"It's okay... I can do this by myself," Killua says looking at the locker numbers to try to find his. 'I can't get attached we will be leaving in a short while anyway..." Killua looks down at the ground again. Just because Killua has been expelled from 4 schools doesn't mean he has only been the new kid that many times. His parents are bounty hunters and Killua is expected to go into the same trade. 'So what's the point of school?' Killua thought. 'It's not like I'll have a choice of what I do in the future...' They are constantly moving. The longest they have been in one place is a year and that was because Killua and his older brother were very young. 'Who knows how long I'll be here? A week? A month? A day?' Killua thinks. One minute they are in Washington next they are in Toronto, Canada and the next they are in Miami. It never stops.

"I want to help you!" Gon says more urgently as he ran to catch up with Killua again. He notices how sad Killua looks. "Are you okay?" He asks concerned for Killua.

"This isn't my first rodeo- Gon? Right?- I can do this by myself. And I'm fine," Killua said as coldly as he could. It didn't work out as well as he hoped because he can't be mean to Gon for some reason. 'Ugh what's wrong with me?' Killua thought slapping his forehead. Gon wasn't caving so eventually Killua gave in. "Fine. I'll humor you." Gon frowns. "Where's my locker?" Killua crosses his arms angrily so Gon does it back mockingly.

"What number?" Killua tells him. "Most likely 2nd floor closest to the science rooms. Come on I'll show you!"

"Whatever." Killua looks unamused the entire way there. "Thanks." Killua states sarcastically as they arrive at his locker. "Could have found it by myself," Killua says under his breath.

"Your welcome!" He looks at his green wrist watch. "Oh my! Hurry up we don't want to be late for first period!"

"We... as in... you are coming with me to first period-" Killua says hesitantly.

"Yeah of course I'm coming with you!" Gon was half wanting to not be around Killua and not give him even a second thought. That half hating the danger radiating off of him and scared for how his life could go downhill because of the silver haired boy. The other half though loved it. It saw the danger as adventure and excitement. It was something Gon had never experienced before.

"No.... you really don't need to. Don't you have your own classes to go to?"

"Not today!" Killua heard him say. "I got everything I needed yesterday! It's the middle of the school year so..." he shruggs his shoulders.

"Sick Twenty One Pilots reference but I'll go to my class and you can go to yours. After all the classroom numbers are on my sheet with my schedule! I'll be fine," 'I'm always fine...' Killua finishes sadly in his head as he rushes to his first period to hopefully lose Gon. He found out where he needed to go by the descending room numbers.

As Killua sat down in the correct classroom, Gon ran into the room. "Sorry! Not getting rid of me that fast!" He set his stuff down behind me. "You're going to have to deal with me all of today." He showed me he got a copy of my schedule for the day. Killua rolls his eyes knowing he's not going to loose Gon anytime today. "Remember you have to stay after school with me for tutoring! Your grades apparently weren't very good in your last school."

"What?!" Killua accidentally yelled annoyed and surprised. "I don't want to! I have to go home..." 'My parents will be home by then. If I go home right after school I have at least a chance to be home before them.' Killua thinks. "R-right a-a-after school. I can't stay longer." Gon knew something was wrong so he didn't push it. Killua stuttered because he started thinking about what would happen if he got home after his parents did. That's the only thing in the entire world that actually scares Killua.

"Killua... you can fail if you don't set aside time for me to tutor you," Gon tryed to sound as soft as possible. He knew something was really wrong but knew it was none of his business.

"M-maybe I... maybe..." Killua tryed to think. 'I've already failed a couple times. That was the worst time of my life at home.' Killua thought beginning to panic.

"Do you think you could maybe come over to my house this weekend? My parents don't mind usually..." he trailed off. 'Perfect! My mom and dad will be home almost all weekend! I can sneak out and I won't have to deal with them!' Killua thought to himself.

"Fine." Killua says returning to his usual jackass self.
