It'd been a week that Reiji was around the estate. Christina decided it wouldn't hurt to have a visitor, and with BC‌ Sol being full of empty rooms, there wasn't a problem with sparing one for him. Though, it wasn't like she was the one who did the housekeeping, or cooking. Even still, Mio wouldn't complain. If Christina was okay with it, then she was as well.

The kids even enjoyed having him around. He'd show them all the photos of he took from every country and city he traveled in. He shared stories, which could have definitely been made up - I mean, some of his stories were definitely ridiculous. He passed around the souvenirs he bought from here and there, and taught them little bits of different languages he learned as well. It was quite nice to have some spare time, given Reiji was entertaining the kids, Mio could sit down for a bit and take a breather. Sometimes she'd join as well though, just for the fun of it.

"The locals told me about a temple, folklore said that people would go in looking for treasure, and never come out. So, I decided that I had to go check it out." Already, the brunette seemed very proud of this story.

"But Reiji! It could have been dangerous!"‌ Poor Hani was falling for it.

"Danger doesn't scare me."‌ Wow, so cool of him. "It was definitely dangerous, there were traps everywhere, but I made it in and out alive. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone else, I was too late. . . I couldn't save anyone."

Near everyone started consoling him, about how he was a hero either way. Rantaro was not buying it at all, and Park had to cover her mouth to keep herself from laughing.

"But! If one thing was for sure, there was definitely treasure! I had to fight off a couple snakes for it though. A pure gold box sat on a pedestal, but I used my head before grabbing the whole thing. Instead, I carefully opened it, and took it's contents. There was definitely a trap set, if I were to take the whole thing. . . I would have died." Finally, Reiji's story came to a finish. The crowd was either fully enthralled, or rolling their eyes.

"That story is fake." Kitt had to be the first one to criticize, and strangely though, Reiji started laughing.

"If Reiji says it's real, then it's real!" Hani piped up.

"I mean, it could be fake."‌ With a simper, the brunette started shuffling through his bag. Everyone peered a little closer, even Mio, he pulled out a red velvet box, and carefully opened it. This, was definitely enough proof. A vintage luna halo ring, a huge oval rock of diamond in the middle, and smaller ones scalloped around the outside. Held together in a pure gold ring. Polished to perfection. Just in case there were still some suspicions, Cuza had just found a photo of the old temple on Reiji's phone. Next, the ring looking far less brand new, and the golden box. A beautiful beam of light shed through a crease in the rocks, and lit up the pedestal perfectly.

So the story was real after all. Mio was quite impressed, and effortlessly so, Reiji caught sight of that small simper on her face. Maybe he set everything up to seem fake from the start.

After dinner, and even more stories - this time, Rantaro and Kitt were convinced - Mio had her normal ritual of sitting in the grass outside. Every single day, the second her eyes open, there was work to be done. She had to make breakfast, and then research other teams, find things to work on during training - then proceed to train everyone. Mirror Vienna was such a tiring beyblade to use, the spirit feeds off of her energy, and leaves her exhausted. He uses as much power from her as he wants, he gets angry when he wants, and he attacks when he wants. But she loves him.

After training, she immediately needs to make lunch, do laundry, clean every room, run any errands for Christina, and still take care of all the kids at the same time. Still, there's no break, back to making dinner.

At the end of the day, she hardly had any energy to even read a book. So, she sits in the grass, shuts her eyes, and breathes.

Despite trying to be as quiet as possible, Mio could still hear someone approaching from behind. Her eyes were still closed, so when Reiji leaned to the side to check if she was asleep, he let out a small sigh.

"What's the matter?" Her sudden voice scared the hell out of him, as well as he brown eyes fluttering open.

"Oh god!‌ I thought you were asleep!"‌ The brunette wheezed, before throwing himself down on the grass beside her. "Don't give me a heart attack like that, Christ."

"Sorry."‌ She barely furrowed her brows, her hands placed delicately on her lap. "Did you need something?"‌ Mio tilted her head.

"I just want to get to know you a little better, that's all."‌ He chirped, laying in the grass with his hands behind his head.

"There's not much to know."‌ She responded, almost a little sadly.

"Of course there is."‌ Reiji didn't seem to get the memo. "Where you're from, your family, the kinds of things you like, the way you grew up, the people important to you. . ."‌ Very nonchalantly, he listed such things. Mio's pause was a little unnatural, before she started to speak up.

"Bc Sol is my family."‌ She nodded to herself. "When I was six years old, I lost my memory and fell in a coma. When I woke up, I was here." Despite her normal quiet voice, she didn't seem very bothered with saying this. It didn't make her sad, it wasn't hard to talk about. "Christina's grandfather had raised her, Free, and myself. My mother abandoned me."

". . . Hey, I'm sorry. I had no idea, I didn't mean to-" before Reiji could finish, Park quickly passed him a smile.

"No, it's alright. I'm quite happy to have been raised here. I don't think I'd have wanted things any other way." The whitette exhaled. "Maybe that's why things are so difficult now."

"Listen. . ."‌ Reiji made the effort to sit up properly. "I think you feel obliged to do more than you have to. You're the captain, I don't see why you have to do all the housekeeping. Isn't Kitt's mom also a housekeeper? I'm sure she won't mind taking up some more of that work."

"You're right. I just don't feel very good when I have nothing to do. Like right now, I don't like sitting here on my own, it makes me think to much." For not much particular reason, she flattened out the creases in her apron. Before Free left, she would spend her free time with him. He'd be training, or just dead asleep in the grass while she read a book. They accompanied one another in silence, but it still felt much better than being on her own.

"Maybe that's why the wind lead me here."‌ A very brief chuckle slipped past the brunette's lips. At that, he stood up, and brushed off his jeans. "Up you get."‌ He chirped, sticking out a hand for her. Obediently, Mio took it, and let him help her up to her feet as well.

"Let's fill that void!"
