It hadn't been very long, not since Free had left, and not since the team had visited the Snake Pit. It really hadn't been too long ago, and clearly the effects of both impacts had left a mark on a lot of the team members. Valt and Rantaro; well of course they were ridiculously worried about their old friend from back home. Whoever Red Eye was, he took Shu down into the Snake Pit with him.
And Mio, still as lost as ever. All her time spent following Free around like some sort of trained puppy – hadn't helped for this kind of situation very much, did it? The entire team was left on her shoulders, and Christina was depending on her, desperately. Yet, in comparison to Free? Mio was nothing but a house maid, and for so long, she was perfectly okay with that. Never in her life had she thought of being the leader. Yet here she had no choice but to stand; coaching all the kids on her own, preparing training regiments all on her own, and looking after the younger ones, all on her own. They all looked at her with that helpless look in their eyes. . . They all looked at her for the guidance that she could hardly muster for them these days.
Free may have well overestimated her, and she'd never forget that genuine smile of his that he saw her off with. She knew it was unfair to be upset with him, but she couldn't help herself. It was like letting a child ride their new bike all on their own, she was bound to crash at some point.
"We haven't used the infinity stadium in a long time. It's training will mostly help with brute power and force than anything else, so we didn't think it was well suited anymore." The white haired girl explained.
"Do you care to give us a demonstration?" Raul had only tried to encourage her, but his sudden appearance had only made things more difficult for the young girl. Now Christina was even more unsettled, and Mio had more to deal with and look after.
"Sure, not a problem." She nodded, her brown eyes flickering towards the group of excited kids. Ah, they looked so interested. In the stadium, or in what their pathetic excuse for a captain had to say? With ease, she preformed her normal launch. Vienna didn't do very much to the bey in the center of the stadium, even though all her matches they've seen so far – had ended with a burst in seconds.
"Whoa, even senpai can't burst it. . ." Valt peered a little closer.
"I don't see the appeal." Silas interjected with an obvious grimace.
"You probably won't do any better in the slightest." Rantaro grumbled under his breath.
"Maybe you're just giving that captain of yours far too much credit. You do realize that she's just a replacement for Free, who up and abandoned you all?"
The more she thought about it, the more she believed Silas was right. Even if he only said those things out of frustration.
Standing in the middle of the forest, by Free's precious stadium, she'd just crumpled to her knees.
"I really can't do this without you." Her eyes were crestfallen, but she was far too tired to cry.
The wind rustled the leaves of the full trees, tossing her hair to the side a little as well. The cool breeze wasn't enough at all to ease her worries.
"Don't tell me I just found a great fairy or something." There was a very unfamiliar voice, which made the female furrow her brows. She was hesitant, but she slowly stood up and turned around. In the distance and approaching was definitely no young Spanish man. His dark grey and blue cloak would easily point out he wasn't a casual from town.
"How did you find this place?" Of course, Mio was more protective of the area, and didn't bother to ask who this guy was.
"You're not gonna believe this, but I actually got lost looking for-. . ." The brunette suddenly smiled to yourself. "You?"
Mio didn't say anything, and he quickly took the hint that she wasn't in the mood for being joking around and being friendly.
"Okay, Okay, I guess you and BC Sol are two different things. To some extent, right?" His gold eyes were far from unsettling, not like how unknown his motive felt.
"Who are you?" Finally, she asked the question he was waiting for. Without missing a beat, the male dramatically took a bow.
"Reiji. I'm not looking for trouble, just a traveller."
