"Excuse me?"

"Debby- Just leave."

She looked at him in disbelief, before bringing her hand up; swinging it right into Josh's face, making him stumble back from the sudden action.

"Fuck you Josh!-" She yelled.

"Im sick and tired of you coming home with different people right in front of my face!"

He laughed like it was the most amusing thing.

"Name one time I've come home with a guy."

"That one guy with the curly brown hair, he's a bit shorter than you, brown e-"

"That's my brother."

"W-well, what about that other dude that was like 5'4?"

"Ew- Debby. That was my cousin.." Josh scoffed.

"If anything, I wouldn't date someone that young."

"You're 18, Josh."

"Yeah, And he's 11."

Debby stood there quietly, looking at Josh. Josh had his hand cupped over his mouth and nose.

"Just get out Debby."

"Fine! It's over!" She yelled; shoving him again, hitting him once more before she stormed out the door.

I was on the verge of tears- looking at Josh. I was very weak when it came to any physical violence.

Josh let out a quiet sigh, taking his hands away from his face as the front door slammed shut.

I gasped, looking at the blood that leaked from his nose.

"ohmygod- Josh." I muttered, rushing over to him.

He looked at me sadly. "I'm sorry you had to listen to that."

"S-shut up." I mumbled, walking over to the sink quickly, grabbing a towel and running it under the faucet.

"Go sit down." I said quietly, listening to him walk away into the living room.

I quickly grabbed the towel and squeezed the access water out before rushing over to him, plopping down beside him.

"Thanks." He reached out for the towel.

"No. Let me do." I pulled it away from him, making him look at me quietly.

"Okay." He nodded gently

I pressed the cool towel to his face, watching everything I was doing to make sure I didn't hurt him- wiping the blood away from his nose. I eventually got all the blood off, looking at him with a weak smile.

"There."

He looked down at me with a smile, his eyes saying a thank you.

My eyes flickered between his two, looking down at his lips for a brief second before I leaned in close, shyly pressing my lips to his.

I felt his hand on my chest- feeling him push me away quickly.

The feeling of guilt and rejection surged my veins as I felt tears prick my eyes, getting up off the couch and running to the bathroom, hearing his calls for me in the other room get closer as I tired to outrun them.
