I slowly got in Josh's car, waiting for him to get in; buckling up in the process. I watched out the window, looking at my house. My cat sat in the window, staring at me. I watched her open her mouth with a silent meow. I frowned; turning back to look out the front windshield. Josh dropped his hand onto my knee with a small sigh, keeping his eyes on the road. He patted my knee gently, causing me to look at him.

"You okay Tyler?" He turned his head to look at me for a moment before flicking his eyes back to the road as he drove down it. I barely realized we were moving.

"Uh. Yeah."

Lie.

There's that voice again.

The musty, damp smell of  something unexplainable filled my nose.

I looked over at Josh, seeing if he noticed it. Nothing.

I looked back through the mirror that was attached to the upper windshield, letting out a small gasp as I saw the dark figure with bright white glowing eyes. The black smog filled the air around him; along with me and Josh. 

Josh seemed completely unaffected. 

"J-josh.."

I looked back at the mirror, seeing him sit there; whispering dark things to me.

I closed my eyes.

"D-do you see him?"

"What? Who?"

I closed my eyes, opening them moments later, looking at the figure with a stitched up like smile. It almost wasn't there.

"I-in the mirror."

Josh looked; And the moment he did- the man disappeared. 

"No, I don't."
