Chapter 5: The Truth
"Come on, feel the noise
Girls, rock your boys
We'll get wild, wild, wild
Wild, wild, wild"
Anthony didn't pay attention as he sat in his English class. He held a pencil between his fingers while moving it back and forth, bouncing on his two fingers as he looked down at the pages in the book.
The door of the classroom opened as one of the vice principles stood in the doorway. "Anthony Parker." He called, his eyes slowly landing on the boy. Students looked over to him. Anthony had no idea what this was about but slid his book in his bag along with the pencil before walking out.
"What's going on?" Anthony questioned.
"Follow me." Was all the vice principle said as he led him to the cafeteria where two police officers sat at a table along with his mother.
"Mom?" Anthony asked, unsure what was going on. Was this news about his sister? Was she actually not dead?
"Take a seat, son." One of them said as he sat next to his mother.
"Nancy Wheeler has told us that Barbra Holland went missing. You, possibly being the last to see her. We're just going to ask some questions." One of the officers explained.
"Ok." Anthony shrugged.
"Where was the last place you saw her?"
"In Steve's backyard by the pool."
"Steve Harrington?"
"Yeah. I was sitting on a lawn chair and she later came out." Anthony explained, fidgeting with his fingers.
"Where was everyone else?"
"Upstairs."
"Doing what?"
Anthony didn't get why it mattered where his friends were at. He knew the answer but he really didn't want to answer. He didn't want to rat Nancy out that she banged Steve. Who knows where this evidence is going. So, he did what any teenage boy did when not knowing what to say. He looked to his mom.
"It's ok. You can tell them." Mrs. Parker reassured her son, rubbing his arm gently.
"I don't feel comfortable answering." Anthony said truthfully.
The two officers looked at the boy before writing on the paper in front of them. "No worries. Did anything unusual happen?"
Anthony thought for a moment before speaking. "We were talking. The light went out behind it then..." Anthony's eyebrows furrowed together. "I saw something weird behind her."
"What was it?"
"I don't know. It had some type of tentacles? No face." Anthony's eyes widened as he finally remembered what happened that night. The thing grabbed Barbra before it smacked him, sending him to hit his head in the concrete and into the pool.
"Is it true you were drinking that night, Anthony?" The officer asked.
"Yeah, but I know what I saw." Anthony gave them a look.
"Your mother did tell us that you have been drinking a lot, ever since-"
"Don't say her name." Anthony closed his eyes for a moment before tilting his head to look at his mother. "Thanks for snitching." He shook his head, scoffing.
"Anthony. I'm worried about you." She sighed.
"So, you had one too many drinks and you saw things that weren't there." One officer slowly said and Anthony looked at him blankly.
"I guess." Anthony answered boredly.
"You passed out and when you woke up she was gone?"
"That's exactly what happened." Anthony answered. "Can I get back to class now?" He asked and the two officers nodded. As Anthony left he shook his head slightly. He knew what he saw, he didn't know what exactly it was but it was there.
The Upside Down
"Will, get to your mom now!" Victoria shouted at the boy as she grabbed her weapon that she made, ready to fight off the demogorgon.
"Mom! Mom!" Will shouted as he banged on the wall in front of him. He kept banging, trying to get out.
"Will? Will!" The two heard Joyce yelling.
"Mom!"
"I'm here! I'm here!" Joyce started to rip off the wallpaper, some sort of portal keeping her from reaching her son and Victoria.
"Will! It's coming!" Victoria shouted as she gripped her weapon, her head snapping over to look to Will that was behind her. She kept her stance, ready to right the thing. She refused it to touch Will.
"Mom it's coming!" Will told his mom, looking at her through the substance.
"Tell me where you are? I will protect you!" Joyce banged on the glassy wall.
"It's like home, but it's so dark. It's so dark and empty and it's cold! Mom? Mom?" Will cried out.
"Listen to me! I swear I'm gonna get to you, okay? But right now I need you to hide-"
"Mom, please!"
Victoria moved in her spot slightly, she had eyes on the thing but it suddenly disappeared. "Shit." She whispered as she quickly went to Will's side, seeing Joyce on the other side.
"Joyce please get us out of here." Victoria begged as she looked behind her, making sure the demogorgon wouldn't pop up. "I don't want to be here anymore." Victoria cried out.
"Listen! Listen, I will find you two. But you have to run now! Okay, Victoria?" Joyce said, looking at the girls figure.
"Ok! I'll keep him safe." Victoria nodded as the growling started to get louder.
"WILL! HOLLOW TREE NOW!" Victoria shouted as they turned around and started to run once again. Joyce's voice soon getting quieter and quieter.
The two ran like always. Hoping that their safe spot was still a safe spot. For all the two knew, this could be it and Joyce wouldn't find them. For Will, he still had hope that his mom would get them out, but for Victoria, she lost hope the second they started running.
How much longer of running could they do to survive? It was only a matter of time before the running wasn't good enough anymore. They could hide, they could run. But the demogorgon doesn't go away.

Anthony stood in the dark room, standing next to Jonathan as Nancy was on the other side of him. He watched Jonathan turn a light switch on while looking down at the photo in the substance.
"Did your mom say anything else? Like um, where it might have gone to, or...". Nancy questioned while Jonathan took a tool to look closer at the forming picture.
"No. It just came out of the wall." Jonathan answered.
"How long does this take?" Nancy asked.
"Not long." Anthony answered and Nancy gave him a questionable look.
"Tori...she liked taking pictures as well. I saw her do it a few times." He answered, tapping his foot as he watched Jonathan.
"Have you...been doing this awhile?" Nancy asked Jonathan.
"Doing what?"
"Photography."
"Yeah." Jonathan gave a short nod. "I guess I'd rather observe people than, you know..". Jonathan looked over to her.
"Talk to them."
"I know it's weird-"
"No-"
"No, it is." Jonathan let out a nervous laugh. "It's just sometimes...people don't really say what they're really thinking . But you capture the right moment, it says more."
"That's what I saw." Anthony suddenly spoke up, looking closer at the figure behind Barbra in the picture.
"Me too." Nancy nodded.
"My mom...I thought she was crazy 'cause she said that's not Will's body. That he's alive." Jonathan told them.
"And if he's alive-" Nancy started before Jonathan cut her off.
"Then Barbra and if..." Jonathan trailed off, looking to Anthony. Anthony was just looking at the picture, his eyes widening as he was putting the pieces together.
"Those things took Tori and she could still be alive."
**SORRY! IM SORRY! School is blah and I also was writers block even though I just have to re watch the show to write majority of this fanfic. Updates here are going to be as slow as season four coming to Netflix**
