Chapter 4: Headaches All Around
"There's a sound at the window
Then he struck you, a crescendo Annie
He came into your apartment
He left the bloodstains on the carpet
And then you ran into the bedroom
You were struck down
It was your doom"
"Shit! TONY!" Steve yelled as he slid open the backdoor as he saw his best friends body floating in the pool. He ran out and jumped in the pool, grabbing onto Anthony.
Nancy's hand flew up to her mouth as she watched the scene in front of her. She quickly went over and helped Steve take Anthony out. "Hey! Tony! ANTHONY!" Steve hit his right cheek a few times.
"Come on, man." Steve breathed out as he started to give him chest compressions. "Come on." Steve was close to tears at this point. He didn't know how long he was in the pool for. He should've locked that door. He should've kept an eye on him. He knows how he is when he drinks.
"What's going on?" Tommy's voice broke their ears as he walked out, Carol by his side. Carol had Tommy's shirt on while Tommy just had the towel wrapped around his lower half.
"What the hell happened?" Tommy asked as he looked at the situation.
"Is he dead?" Carol asked with wide eyes.
Anthony whacked Steve away from him as he coughed. "Tony." Steve breathed out in relief, his whole body relaxing.
"I thought I told you to not go in the pool." Steve told him seriously.
"Sorry." Anthony said seriously. The back of his head killing him, he could feel the stickiness of blood on the back of it. He groaned before sitting up, his vision blurring slightly from the contact of the concrete and the booze.
"Where's...where's..." Anthony tried to figure out his words but he could already feel himself to start to loose consciousness. "Easy." Steve slowly laid him back down, Nancy placing a towel below his head.
Anthony saw a blurry Steve looking down at him worriedly as he grabbed his hand. "Where's who?" Steve asked and Anthony finally answered.
"Tori."

"You coming to school?" Steve asked as he looked at Anthony who was eating Life cereal. "Yeah...I can't miss anymore days" Anthony said with a mouthful of cereal.
"We need to go then." Steve told him.
"My head is killing me." Anthony groaned.
"You did drink who knows how many beers and more than a half bottle of bourbon." Steve raised an eyebrow at him.
"Eh. I can't believe I slapped my head on the concrete." He rubbed the back of his head, hissing.
"You probably have a concussion, dude." Steve put his arms through the straps of his back pack while Anthony put the bowl in the sink.
"Can I borrow some paper?" Anthony asked as the two headed out and into the car.
"Yeah." Steve nodded.
"And a pencil?" Anthony asked, smiling.
"Anything, man." Steve turned the car on before pulling out of the driveway.
The school day was going rather slow for Anthony. His head was killing him half the time and he couldn't figure out what exactly happened last night. He remembered drinking, shotgunning, pool, drinking, talking to Barb. Wait. Something happened when talking to Barb.
"The light!" He suddenly said randomly at the cafeteria table.
"What?" Steve asked, chuckling at his friends random outburst.
"Hey Anthony...when you went back outside did you see Barb?" Nancy asked him. He looked over at her and nodded, groaning a bit as his head ached from that action.
"Yeah. She came out for a bit and we talked. The light behind her went out and..." Anthony groaned with annoyance of not remembering. "Sorry I don't remember after smacking my head." He sighed.
"It's ok." Nancy smiled softly then looked to Tommy. "What about you Tommy? Did you see Barb before you left?"
"What?" Tommy asked, eating his food.
"Barbra. She's not here today."
"I seriously have no idea who you're talking about." Tommy said.
"Come on, don't be an ass man. Did you or did you not see her when you left?" Anthony told him seriously. His tone a bit aggressive. Something rare that he does so you better tell the boy!
"No, she was gone when we left." Tommy finally answered as Carol shoved food in her mouth. "Probably couldn't stand listening to all that moaning." Carol mimicked the sounds. "Oh, Steve! Oh, Steve."
"Oh, Steve." Tommy chummed in and then started to pound his fists on the table. Anthony's face twisted in disgust at what they were doing. "Gross."
When the final bell rang, Anthony stood up from his seat as his classmates around him made their way out. Anthony grabbed the few pieces of paper Steve gave him along with the pencil before turning his head, seeing Jonathan packing his things.
Anthony let out a deep breath before walking over to him. "Hey." Anthony spoke up, Jonathan's head snapping up as he looked at him. He could tell that he has changed. Even though Anthony was totally messed up today, it really wasn't anything new. Anthony just looked...Tired. It's not the sleepy tired either.
"Hey." Jonathan said back as he grabbed his camera.
"Umm. Sorry about your brother. I know it sucks. People don't get it, huh?" Anthony smiled a bit, trying to lighten the mood. "Yeah." Jonathan nodded.
"I could help if you need anything." Anthony said as the two headed out of the classroom. "I know I don't know your brother but when Tori went missing there were a few spots that I know she liked to go. Like secret locations. Maybe your brother found them." Anthony rushed his words.
"Really?" Jonathan asked, hope seeming to be in his eyes and Anthony nodded as they walked out of the school and through the parking lot. The two walking towards Jonathan's car.
"And look man." Anthony placed his hand on his arm, the two stopping for a moment. "I don't want you to think I'm doing this because you helped look for my kid sister which I really appreciate. I'm doing this because I want to find him." Anthony said truthfully, but he didn't tell him the whole reason. The other part was because he didn't want his brother to turn out like Tori. Dead.
Anthony was about to talk again but stopped when he saw Steve sitting on Jonathan's trunk with Tommy and Carol by his side along with Nicole. "What are you guys doing?" Anthony asked.
"What are you doing with him?" Tommy asked.
"Talking." Anthony gave him a look.
"Nicole here was, uh, telling us about your work." Steve gave Jonathan a look.
"We've heard great things." Carol.
"Yeah, sounds cool." Tommy
"Yeah. We'd love to take a look. You know, as a commissars of art." Steve said.
"My own sister would rarely let me see her photos what makes you think he's going to show you his?" Anthony asked.
"Stay out of this Anthony." Steve told him seriously as Tommy grabbed Jonathan's bag.
"Hey. Just please give me my bag." Jonathan said to Tommy.
"Just leave him alone." Anthony didn't get why they were always bullying him and he tried to grab the bag from Tommy.
"Listen to Steve, Tony." Tommy pointed at him before throwing the bag to Steve.
"Man, he is trembling. He must really have something to hide." Steve unzipped the bag.
"Steve this isn't funny." Anthony said as he watched Steve grab some photos and went through them. "Ah man."
"Let me see." Tommy looked over and grabbed one before looking at Jonathan. "Dude." He then looked at Anthony and shoved it his way.
Anthony raised an eyebrow, grabbing the picture and looking at it. It was of him sitting on the diving board, drinking.
"Yeah. This isn't creepy at all." Carol said as Anthony stood beside Tommy, holding the picture as he looked at Jonathan.
"I was looking for my brother." Jonathan told them.
"No. No this is called stalking." Steve pointed to the pictures.
"What's going on?" Nancy asked, walking over.
"Here's the starring lady." Tommy smiled.
"What?"
"This creep was spying on us last night." Carol told her. "He was probably going to save this one for later." Carol handed Nancy a certain picture of her taking her top off.
"See, you can tell that he knows it was wrong, but...man that's the things about perverts...it's wired into them." Steve messed with Jonathan's shirt. "You know, they can't help themselves."
"He's not a pervert." Anthony backed Jonathan up.
"You've seen the evidence Tony. Just because your sister was friends with him doesn't mean you have to help him." Steve scoffed.
Anthony leaned off the car as he shook his head at Steve. "And just because you're popular doesn't mean you have to act like an asshole." He retorted. Steve just stared at Anthony people ripping the picture up.
"So, we'll just have to take away his toy." Steve through the pieces in the air then went over to the camera.
"Steve come on, he knows not to take pictures of you guys anymore. Just leave the camera alone." Anthony said seriously.
"No, Steve. Please not the camera." Jonathan begged as Tommy pushed him back.
"No. No. Wait, wait. Tommy, Tommy." Steve looked over at him. "It's okay. Here you go man." Steve held out the camera then dropped it, it crashing to the ground.
"Really?" Anthony gave Steve a look of disbelief as Tommy laughed.
"Come on, let's go. The game is about to start." Steve walked away with Nicole following. Tommy leaned towards Jonathan. "Boo." He then followed after Steve with Carol throwing the rest of the pieces of pictures on the ground before following.
"Tony!" Steve called
"I'm not coming!" Anthony shouted back.
"Whatever." Steve scoffed. "Hey, Nance! Come on."
Nancy picked up a few of the torn pieces of one of the pictures before walking over to Steve. Anthony kneeled down as well and started to help him pick up the pieces. He then looked at Jonathan, handing them to him when he stood back up.
"I still mean it. Let me know if you need help. You still have my sisters number right?" He asked and Jonathan nodded.
"Just call that. My room is right next to hers. I'll answer." Anthony told him seriously before he heard Stacy call his name.
Anthony turned back around and made his way over to her as she gave her boyfriend a worried look. "You don't look so good Tony." She said softly and Anthony shrugged. "Kinda smacked my head on the concrete at Steve's house last night." Anthony let out a nervous laugh.
"Did you go to the doctors?" She asked with wide eyes.
"I don't need to go to the doctors. I'm fine." He put his hands up in front of him as he saw the look she was giving him. "Promise."
Stacy let out a deep breath as the two held eye contact and she slowly shook her head. "You're not fine Tony." She crossed her arms over her chest as he put his hands back down before shrugging.
Anthony continued to look at her while her eyes looked at the ground in front of her in the parking lot. She then ran her hand through her hair before taking a step back. "Just get some rest for once. Drink water for once and I'll see you tomorrow." Stacy turned away from him and started walking away.
"Come on Stacy." Anthony groaned as his girlfriend walked away from him but she ignored him. He let out another groan before making his way home and once he did get home well...
"Hey honey how was school?" Anthony's mother asked as he walked through the front door. He looked at his mother blankly while he closed the door before him slowly.
"Boring." He answered with no emotion.
"Learn anything?" She asked with a smile.
"Nope." Anthony popped the 'p'.
"Anything you would like to tell me?"
"I'll be in my room." Anthony walked past her, walking up the stairs as she turned to him.
"Anthony we need to talk." His mother sighed.
"I don't want to talk mother." Anthony let out an irritated groan.
"Anthony." He heard the voice of his father. Hearing his voice made him sigh, tilting his head back slightly. Anthony made his way back down, dropping his bag by the stairs as he sat across from his dad on a couch. His mom took a seat next to his father and he looked at them boredly.
"We're worried about you." His father looked at him.
"Oh, my fucking god. Is this an intervention?" He asked.
"Don't swear." His mother scolded and he put his hands up in surrender before slapping them back on his legs.
"If you want to make this an intervention we sure can." His father had a tone and Anthony just laughed.
"We know you've been stealing alcohol from the cabinet." His mother chimed in.
"I'm seventeen. I'm going to be drinking alcohol." He rolled his eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me!"
"Are-are you drunk?" His mother asked, gasping. "David, our son is drunk!"
"Have you been drinking at school?" His father asked.
"So what if I have?"
"You can't be drinking all the time!" His father shouted.
"Why would you even care-"
"What has gotten into-"
"Your voices are giving me a headache. Can you two shu-"
"Are you even thinking at all?!"
Anthony and his parents kept cutting each other off. Their voices getting louder and louder, it wouldn't be a surprise if the neighbors could hear them.
"Are you even hearing yourself Anthony? You sound like..." His father clenched his jaw, stopping himself as he shook his head as he looked at his son.
"Like what?" Anthony titled his head to the side slightly, his lips parting as he leaned forward in his seat. "Like what dad? Say it." Anthony challenged him, knowing what he was going to say already.
"LIKE AN ALCOHOLIC!" His father shouted, pointing his finger at his son.
"There it is." Anthony clapped, laughing.
"He's laughing. Why are you laughing? This isn't funny Anthony." His mother shook her head at him.
His father looked at his son in disgust before he spoke again. "Victoria would be disappointed in you."
"SHUT UP!" Anthony shouted, standing up and slamming his hands on the wooden table in front of him, his hair falling in front of his eyes as he glared at his father.
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Anthony shouted once again as his mother jumped in her spot, her lips trembling as she saw the way her son acted.
It was silent, the only thing that was heard was Anthony's heavy breathing. His hands clenched at his sides, his veins popping in his arms from how hard he was clenching his hands.
"I don't even know who you are anymore." His father told him, calmness in his voice but disappointment in his eyes.
Anthony let out a small chuckle, nodding his head before moving his hair from his eyes. He looked at his father straight in the eyes. For his eyes did not hold disappointment, or anger, or sadness. His eyes held nothing.
"That makes two of us."
Anthony didn't say anything else as he walked away, grabbing his back pack from the ground and trudging up the stairs and into his room. His parents didn't say anything else or did anything. The muffled sound of AC/DC played their ears as it was coming from their son's room.
"I'm going to get started on dinner." Mrs. Parker told her husband before she stood up and made her way into the kitchen.
The Upside uʍop
"Your mom is a genius." Victoria said as the two could hear the voice of Joyce.
Will are you here?
"You got it?" Victoria asked as Will nodded, turning the lights on.
Ok. Good. Good. Ok. Blink once for yes and twice for no. Can you do that for me sweetie?
Will blinked the lights once, smiling slightly as he heard his mom sigh slightly in relief. Victoria watched Will as she heard his mother's voice, somewhat bringing comfort to her.
Baby I need to know are you alive?
Will blinked the lights once more. There was a pause for a moment before she asked another question. This was surprising the two.
Is Victoria Parker with you?
The two looked at each other with wide eyes. Not expecting her to ask that question. As said before. Victoria was dead news. Even her parents faced the facts, but here Joyce Byers was. Someone she never met wondering if she was still possibly out there. Will smiled as he blinked the light once, Joyce's eyes widening.
Ok. Ok. Are you two safe?
Will looked to Victoria. He really didn't know. She was alive, but was it truly safe here? What about in the hideout they were at? Victoria looked at Will as she shook her head.
The lights blinked twice.
Are you-can you tell me where you are? Please baby I need to find you, both of you. Please tell me how to find you.
"We're right here!" Will shouted, wanting to go back to his mom. "I don't know what to do." Will cried out and Victoria moved closer to him, wrapping her arms around him, trying to do her best to comfort him. "It's okay." She reassured him, smiling a bit as she could see what Joyce was doing.
"As I said your mom is a genius." Will looked up as he saw his mom waiting letters on the wall, the Christmas lights under them.
Ok. Ok baby, Victoria. Talk to me. Where are you? Joyce asked as she stood in front of the new painted wall.
"What should I say?" Will asked Victoria. "Will she get it?" Victoria thought for a moment before she flashed the letter R. "Like you said Will. We're right here."
R. Good. Good. That's good. Come on.
Victoria decided to take the lead on this one and flashed the lights. Spelling out where they were and they were RIGHT HERE
Right here? Right here. I don't know what that means. I need you to tell me what to do. What do I do? How do I get to you? How do I find you?
"We're right here mom!" Will shouted and Victoria pleaded for Will to be quiet, scared that a demogorgen would show up. Will lit the same lights Victoria did before then all the lights started to flash.
"Tori! Look!" Will shouted as a demogorgen started coming their way.
"Run." Victoria breathed out as she pushed Will to start running.
"Mom!" Will shouted before he then started to run, his mom's figure soon leaving his sight, Victoria right behind him. They ran and they had to keep running, their life depended on it.
**Surprise Shawty! Aight. Updates are gonna be slow since I'm in school, I transferred so I'm on campus. If you're reading my Maze Runner fanfic that one is close to finishing but will take a bit longer with updates since I have to write the chapters still.
With this one I have chapters made I'm just adding more and revising them before publishing.
Also, I'm trying a new technique out where Anthony is not really a side character so you will be seeing more of what he is going through in season 1. In season 2 it will be more of Tori. But I'm still doing both perspectives. It's just important to know Anthony's side in season one :)**
