Chapter 1: The Mysterious Dragon Rider
Five years later...
There was a clear blue sky, flying through with a girl and a dragon. It felt like she was free, the air gave her strength, and that sometimes she knew exactly where she was supposed to be.
To help protect dragons and protect the one who raised her. As she was feeling through the familiar breeze, the night fury was looking at her with a curious glance.
"Grace, it's been five years. Are you sure that chasing down a viking that couldn't listen to you? You can't speak the human language for a long time."
The young rider looked down at her, "What you saying, Aoi? Besides, you're the only family I've ever known.
You treat me like any other newborn hatchling. You were the one who was giving me the true essence of a dragon.
How could I ever consider myself of being a human, they would be ... dangerous."
Although that Aoi was unable to cope of remembering the night that she invaded her true home, the horror of her father's expression of leaving her.
It felt like it was all her fault to not tell her the honest truth of her origins, where she truly came from and how the world between them was different than what she has seen .
"Look!" Grace said, pointing at something she never seen before. It was a boy, around her age, and seems to be completely injured by something.
Aoi sniffed the injured boy, as that Grace asked, "What shall we do with him?"
"Let's bring him into our isle and treat him. You should looked after him. "
Grace was not too thrilled of the idea of letting a compete stranger into their home. "Are you serious??
I would not allow this thing be in our -"
"It's the right thing, Grace, we can't let him be there all alone while he's been hurt! You know how to heal him. Go with it." Aoi strict her as that the young teen rolls over her eyes that she indeed hoping that she wouldn't get angry .
"Hmph! Fine, if that is what you truly want, but honestly, I don't fully trust humans." She mutters at it, carrying the injured boy on the dragon's back, and head into their isle.
Meanwhile, back at Berk, Hiccup couldn't have the courage to tell Astrid about that night. Seeing a Night Fury, a female one, taken their daughter.
It feels uncomfortable and that the only thing that she kept that was a necklace around her neck, a gift that he had given to her that night before she was taken.
"Hiccup?" A voice asked, as that he turns around to see it was his mother, Valka, the dragon lady that disappeared when he was a baby.
Even though that the relationship was mended over the time they had lost, it felt completely awkward time to time whenever she comes around.
It hasn't truly grasped for the chief that he doesn't have a father anymore due to the effect of the Alpha's brainwashing Toothless, his own dragon to kill him, but Stoick took the terrifying, tragic death instead.
"Oh, hi mom." He greeted her with a hug, as that the old wise woman knew that something was bothering her son.
"Is something wrong? You are hiding something, aren't you?" She asked, as that he tries to avoid the subject about Thalia.
He never brought the subject of her mysterious disappearance in the village to anyone, not even to his closest family and friends .
"It's nothing to be concern about. I think it's mostly because of having to do Chief duties hasn't truly sunk in yet. Sometimes... I wish I want to fly out and explore outside of Berk but I couldn't now." He said.
"Oh, I see. Well, if that was the case, you can get some days off from being chief. I'll try to ask Gothi to help you."
"Thanks, I appreciate it as usual. " He replied, being thankful of his mother. As the two vikings were being silent, Snoutlout appears before them being worried.
"I haven't seen my son. He's missing again." He said, which made the two vikings more worried. "You mean you haven't seen Daisuke? Did you two have an argument again?" Hiccup asked.
"He simply ran off! We didn't argue though. He said something strange though about seeing out a dragon on his own."
"Searching for a foreign dragon all by himself? What you thinking letting Daisuke being all alone without the Dragon Riders aiding him?!? " Hiccup scolded him.
"Sorry. He does things on his own, in some ways, he reminds me of you were when we were younger." Snoutlout apologizes.
Hiccup groans at the compliment, as he mounts on the Alpha's back and seek out Daisuke on his own accord.
