Chapter 20: Interrogated
Michael: That's mad, but how is she inside of the puppet? Wait.....is this the remnant thing?
Blue: Yeah, when someone is killed, remnant becomes a thing and it links that soul with an animatronic of all things.
Michael: So in other words....
Blue: It's like with Elizabeth!
Michael: So Circus Baby got Liz killed, but really it was because of Father.
Blue: Yeah, and this backs my theory of when a person dies, their soul will inhabit an......Animatronic, the one they are close to
Michael: You're right, wait....does that mean Evan is-?
Blue: Inside of Fredbear? Maybe so, but I don't even know where that suit is
Michael: We should look for it after the 5th night of our job
Blue: Yeah, for now....I just want to rest for a bit longer. Then I'm going to eat some ice cream and prepare mentally for the night
Michael: Yeah, the third night might be more stressful-!
Michael's phone starts to ring, so he picks it up, it was Felix on the other side. Michael's eyes widen and ends the call before looking at me.
Michael: Felix said that someone tried to break into my house
Blue: Oh damn, are you going to go?
Michael: Yeah, can you cover the night for me?
Blue: Of course, I know what I'm doing, I'll be fine
Michael: Alright, Noah's going to pick me up so I'll see you tomorrow
Blue: Say less
We start to play some games before Noah pulls up and takes Michael back to his house. While that happens, I spent some time thinking about how I'm going to get through this night alone.
It was night three again, but at a different location with different things to do.
Ehh, I'll get through with my ballin skills.
Time passes quickly, and I already had to get ready for tonight. I put on my security outfit, some fingerless gloves for style points, and leave the apartment.
I go down the stairs and walk towards the pizzeria, when I step inside, I could tell that the air was thick with tension. The faint smell of stale pizza was also present, but it didn't make me hungry at all.
I head towards the office and sit down in the swivel chair. My eyes were weary but focused, having already endured two harrowing nights at this job makes you on high alert.
But this time, I will be alone, and hopefully for just this night. I glance at the clock on the wall, it was 11:59 PM.
Blue: Just one more minute. Let's get through this and play some Mario Games.
Soon, the clock struck 12, signaling the start of the third night. The monitor flickers, and a familiar voice comes through the phone speaker.
Phone Guy: Uh, hello hello! See, I told you you wouldn't have any problems! Did uh.....Foxy ever appear in the hallway? Probably not. I was just curious. Like I said, he was always my favorite. They tried to remake Foxy, you know?
Blue: Really now?
Phone Guy: Uh, they thought the first one was too scary. So they redesigned him to be more kid friendly and put him in kid's cove. Uh, to keep the toddlers entertained, you know. But kids these days just can't keep their hands to themselves. The staff literally had to put Foxy back together during just every shift.
Blue: Damn, that's tragic, would make for a great villain arc
Phone Guy: So eventually they just stopped trying and left him....uhh her, I mean....in some kind of "take apart, put back together" attraction. Now she's just a mess of parts. I think the employees refer to her as just...the Mangle.
Blue: Ah yes, we've had our interactions....I mean not really
Phone Guy: Uh....oh hey! Before I go, uh I wanted to ease your mind about any rumors you might have heard lately. Uh, you know how these local stories come and go and seldom mean anything. I can personally assure you, that, whatever is going on out there, however tragic it may be, has nothing to do with our establishment.
Blue: Mmm Hmm, yes. But the jokes on you big man! I know the truth!
Phone Guy: I-It's just all rumor and speculation, people trying to make a buck, you know. Uh, our guard during the day has reported nothing unusual, and he's on watch from opening till close.
Blue: Yeah, Jeremy has been doing a great job, I trust that guy
Phone Guy: Okay, well anyway, hang in there and I'll talk with you tomorrow.
Blue: Alright, time to start ballin
______________
3rd POV
______________
Blue quickly switches to CAM 11, where the music box is located. He sees it slowly unwinding and hits the button to wind it up again. As he does, the lights flicker slightly, and he hears a soft giggle echo through the pizzeria.
Blue: Oooo, I don't like that. I've got to stay calm, stay calm....that should be a song! Especially if it's about this place!
He flips through the cameras, stopping at the hallway camera to see Foxy, the pirate fox, slowly moving towards him.
Blue: Not tonight, Foxy, I'm balling today!
Blue switches on his flashlight and points it down the dark hallway. The bright beam of light causes Foxy to retreat back into the shadow.
He sighs in relief but quickly returns to the cameras, flipping to CAM 07 where the animatronics’ party room is. Bonnie, the blue bunny, is no longer there.
Blue: Uh oh, it's Rabbit Season! A shame that I don't have a Winchester with me
Suddenly, there's a scraping sound from the right vent. Blue turns and shines his flashlight into the vent. He sees Toy Chica slowly crawling through, her eyes glowing menacingly.
Toy Chica: Is that you Blue? Have you come to see me tonight?
Blue: U-Uh-!
He quickly slips on the Freddy Fazbear mask just as Toy Chica crawls out.
Blue: Nope, I don't think he is here
Toy Chica: [Sighs] Of course he isn't, why does he not want to see me? Am I not good looking enough?
Blue: U-Uhh I'm sure that's not the case! I think you're....good looking?
Toy Chica: Really? Thank you Freddy! You know, if I wasn't so obsessed with that security guard, I wouldn't mind having fun with you~
Blue: Uhh.....good to know?
Toy Chica: So, where's Freddy?
Blue: Freddy? Uhh he's......not well
Toy Chica:.......
Blue:........
Toy Chica:.........Okay!
After a tense moment, she turns and retreats into the darkness of the hallway. Blue removes the mask, sweat dripping down his forehead as he got away with that one.
After collecting his breath and rewinding the music box, Blue had to defend himself against Toy Bonnie and Toy Freddy. Mangle was also on the move but didn't move as much as the others.
Then, Balloon Boy returns and starts to laugh as he crawls through the vent. Blue wasn't going to have his fat ass blocking the ventilation, as he throws one of the small, plastic toys of the Animatronics at his head.
Balloon Boy retreated, clearly not wanting the smoke with the security guard, so Blue can now relax as he doesn't need to deal with annoying little prats. He checks the time, it was already 2:15 AM.
Blue: I can't tell if it's been too quick or too slow....oh wait, music box!
Blue quickly winds the music box again, the haunting lullaby echoing through the pizzeria. As he continues to focus on his survival, Blue began to feel tired, and he wasn't sure if his drowsiness was doing things to him because-!
???: Bluuuuuuue~
Blue: H-Huh?
He was beginning to hear things.
???: It's Me~
Blue: "It's Me?" What do you-? Who is speaking right now? I don't own a car so do not come to me about a warranty and that!
???: [Giggles] Always so funny, even in the face of danger~
Blue: That voice....no....it...can't....
Blue really thought he was going insane, because that voice.....
Blue: C-Cassidy?
Was a familiar one....
???: Correct! Well done!
Blue: Am I......Am I going insane?
Blue questions his sanity, and was left further confused when "Cassidy" doesn't respond. He didn't even know what was real or not, and was concerned for his well being.
When was the last time he actually had a break?
Suddenly, there's a loud thud from the hallway. Blue switches to the hallway camera to see Freddy Fazbear himself, standing ominously just outside the office door.
Blue: Wait....Freddy? The....Withered One? What's he doing here? Wait....
Blue check his monitor and discovered that Withered Bonnie and Chica were gone as well, they were hiding in separate party rooms so Blue remained focus.
Freddy starts moving closer, so Blue shines his flashlight at Freddy, but the bear keeps advancing. In desperation, he puts the Freddy mask back on and waits, his heart pounding in his chest.
Freddy steps into the office, looming over Blue, who remains perfectly still. After what feels like an eternity, Freddy finally leaves, heading back down the hallway.
Blue removes the mask again, his hands trembling. He glances at the clock: 3:50 AM.
Blue: Almost there.....
The soft hum of the fan was the only sound that kept him company as he anxiously watched the monitors. The tension in the air was palpable, the animatronics were more active tonight, their sinister movements captured on the grainy camera feeds.
He quickly toggled through the camera views, pausing on the hallway outside his office. His heart skipped a beat when he saw Toy Chica staring directly into the camera, her eyes glowing a menacing white.
He quickly flipped to another camera, trying to keep track of all the animatronics. Suddenly, the lights flickered and the monitors went black. Panic surged through him as he frantically tried to reboot the system.
Blue: Never thought I would have to do this!
However, a loud crash echoed from the hallway, and before he could react, he felt a sharp pain at the back of his head. Darkness enveloped him as he slumped forward, unconscious.
When Blue regained consciousness, he found himself bound to a chair in one of the Party Rooms. The colorful decorations and cheerful party hats scattered around did little to mask the ominous atmosphere.
He struggled against the ropes binding him, but they were too tight. In front of him, Toy Chica stood, her head tilted slightly to the side. Her once cute and welcoming appearance now seemed distorted and terrifying.
She stared at him with a predatory gaze, a chilling smile spreading across her face.
Toy Chica: Welcome back....Blue~
Blue: Oh noes ._.
Toy Chica: Did you enjoy your little nap?
Blue's mind raced, he hasn't thought about any countermeasures to this, but he is sure that he will in a moment. For now, he had to play this talking game with his captor.
Blue: Sleep was.....alright, what do you want from me?
Even though Blue demanded this request, his voice was trembling despite his efforts to sound brave.
Toy Chica took a step closer, her movements slow and deliberate.
Toy Chica: Isn't it obvious? We want to play. And you're the star of our little game tonight~
Blue's eyes darted around the room, searching for anything that could help him escape. The room was filled with tables and chairs, balloons, and confetti, but nothing that could cut the ropes.
Toy Chica leaned in, her face inches from his as she whispered in his ear.
Toy Chica: You humans are always so predictable. Always so sure you can outsmart us. But tonight, Blue, you might not survive until morning!
Blue: Why are you doing this?
Fear gripped Blue as he struggled harder against his restraints. Toy Chica straightened up, her smile widening.
Toy Chica: Because it's fun, and because we can.
Blue knew he didn't have much time. The night was far from over, and the animatronics were relentless. He had to find a way out before they do something to him that he wants no part of.
Desperation fueled his efforts as he twisted and pulled at the ropes. He had to survive. He had to outsmart them. The clock was ticking, and dawn seemed an eternity away.
Blue's pulse quickened as he heard footsteps approaching from the hallway. The shadows of the animatronics loomed large against the wall, their distorted silhouettes adding to the growing sense of dread.
He was trapped, bound to the chair, with no means of defending himself. The rope dug into his wrists as he twisted and turned, trying to loosen his bonds.
The door creaked open again, and this time, several animatronics entered the room. Toy Bonnie and Toy Freddy flanked Toy Chica, their eyes glowing with malevolent intent.
Behind them, the Puppet glided silently into the room, her slender figure and ominous aura sent chills down Blue's spine. Toy Bonnie stepped forward, his electric blue fur gleaming under the dim light.
Toy Bonnie: Well well well! Look what we have here! We have questions for you, Nightguard
Toy Freddy: And you will answer them, or face the consequences.
Blue: Hah....say less
Blue's eyes flicked to the Puppet, knowing that inside her resided the soul of Charlie. If he could somehow reach her, maybe he stood a chance, but he also knew that getting through to her wouldn't be easy.
The Puppet's presence was both a beacon of hope and a harbinger of potential doom. Toy Chica leaned in again, her gaze piercing.
Toy Chica: Why do you come back every night, knowing what happens here?
Blue: I......I have to do this
Toy Bonnie: Really now? Tell us, is it worth risking your life for?
Blue's mind raced. He needed to find a way to connect with Charlie, to appeal to whatever remnants of her humanity were left inside the Puppet.
Blue: I know there's more to this place, more than just broken animatronics. I know.....about the children
A flicker of recognition passed through the Puppet's eyes, and Blue seized the moment. His gaze locking onto the Puppet's hollow eyes.
Blue: Charlie.....I know you're in there. I know what happened to you and the others kids, you were killed.....and your spirit is inside of the Puppet...so please....help me.
The room fell silent, the other animatronics exchanging puzzled glances. The Puppet remained still, her mask-like-face was expressionless. Then, slowly, she floated closer to Blue, her presence almost ethereal.
Blue: Charlie.....you don't have to do this. I can help you. We can stop this cycle, remember when we talked the other day?
The Puppet's head tilted slightly, a gesture that seemed almost contemplative, but Toy Freddy's voice cut through the silence.
Toy Freddy: Enough of this, answer our questions, Nightguard, or suffer the consequences.
Blue: Alright big man, no need for the aggression and that. Listen yeah, I know about William Afton and what he did. I know he's the one that you want to run the ones with....so you let me go, and we can help each other.
For a moment, the room was still, then, to Blue's surprise, the Puppet's hand reached out and gently touched his shoulder. It was a small gesture, but it gave him hope, especially since it was Charlie inside of her.
The other animatronics seemed to hesitate, unsure of what to do. Toy Chica's eyes narrowed as she watched the interaction.
Toy Chica: What are you playing at, Marionette?
Puppet: He speaks the truth
The Puppet spoke in a voice that was soft yet commanding.
Puppet: There is more at play here than you realise
Toy Bonnie and Toy Freddy exchanged uneasy glances, their confidence wavering. Blue seized the moment.
Blue: Help me stop him, together, we can end this all, you just have to let me go
Toy Bonnie: This is a trick, we can't trust him!
Puppet: Perhaps not, but we must try. For the sake of the children, both past and future.
The room was filled with a tense silence, the animatronics torn between their programmed hostility and the glimmer of hope offered by the Puppet's words.
Blue's heart pounded in his chest as he awaited their decision, knowing that his fate hung in the balance. The Puppet’s intervention had bought him some time.
But he knew that he needed to keep talking, to keep persuading the animatronics that he wasn’t their enemy.
He glanced at the clock on the wall, an hour and a half until dawn, it felt like an eternity. Suddenly, the door creaked open again, and a new wave of animatronics entered.
The withered versions of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy shuffled in, their decayed and torn appearances adding an extra layer of horror to the already nightmarish scene.
Mangle crawled in last, her disfigured body a twisted mass of metal and wires, yet somehow still retaining a disturbingly human-like appearance.
Blue took a deep breath, steeling himself for what was to come. He had to use every ounce of his charisma and quick thinking to survive. As the new arrivals positioned themselves around the room, their eyes fixated on him with a mix of curiosity and suspicion.
Withered Freddy spoke first, his voice a low, gravelly rumble.
Freddy: Why are you here, human? Why do you keep coming back?
Blue: Well, I need the job because I know that there is more than that. I know what happened here and in the other place, I know about the children killed and about William Afton. I want to help you find peace......you get me?
Withered Chica's jaw clanked open and shut as she processed his words.
Chica: Help us? How?
Blue glanced at the Puppet, who nodded slightly, encouraging him to continue.
Blue: Well, I can gather evidence, find proof of what happened, and make sure the world knows the truth. Me and Michael have done it before, but he took the files that was basically the evidence that was needed. And right now, I need your help to stay alive, I can’t do it if you attack me.
Bonnie: And why should we trust you?
Blue: Because I have nothing to gain by lying, If I was working with Afton, would I be here risking my life night after night? I want to stop him as much as you do, he killed my Mother
Toy Chica: He.....took your Mother away from you?
Blue: Yeah....and almost killed his wife, we want payback, and so that's why we are doing this.
Mangle: What about Michael? Where is he tonight?
Blue: Michael couldn't make it tonight. He had something urgent come up. But he knows about all of this too. We're trying to piece everything together and find William
The room was silent again as the animatronics processed his words. Blue could feel their eyes on him, weighing his sincerity. He had to keep them talking, keep them questioning, to make it through the night.
Withered Foxy stepped forward, his tattered eyepatch flipping up to reveal a glowing red eye.
Foxy: Ye say ye want to help, but how do we know ye won't betray us once yer safe?
Blue: Because I have no reason to betray you. If I did, I'd be just as bad as Afton. I want to do what's right. I want to give you justice and make sure this never happens again....and I want my own revenge
The animatronics exchanged glances, their distrust evident but wavering. Blue pressed on, sensing an opportunity.
Blue: Think about it. If we work together, we can end this. We can stop Afton and make sure no more children suffer.
Freddy: And what do you need from us?
Blue: Just let me survive the night, this one at least, and then we can do what we normally do
Mangle: You're not negotiating safety for the other nights?
Blue: I wouldn't think you would listen, and besides, I only need two more nights after this one. Then I'm moving
Toy Chica: Hehe, as if I'll let him leave
The Puppet moved closer to Blue, her presence both comforting and eerie.
Puppet: He speaks the truth. We must take a chance if we are ever to find peace.
Withered Chica looked around at her fellow animatronics, her mechanical eyes filled with a flicker of hope.
Chica: Maybe...maybe we can trust him for now
The room was filled with a tense silence as the animatronics seemed to reach a silent consensus. Withered Freddy nodded slowly.
Freddy: We'll give you this night, human. But if you betray us, there will be no mercy.
Blue: Thank you. I promise I won't let you down.
As the animatronics settled into a watchful silence, Blue knew he had to keep his word. About an hour left until dawn. He had to survive, and then the real work would begin.
He had taken the first step towards earning their trust, and now he had to follow through, for their sake and for his own. The animatronics exchanged a series of silent nods and glances before most of them turned and left the room.
Withered Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Mangle shuffled out, with the Withered Animatronics returning to the Parts and Service room. Mangle crawls back to Kid's Cove while Toy Freddy and Toy Bonnie patrol the pizzeria, searching for any intruders.
The Puppet lingered near the doorway, her inscrutable gaze fixed on Blue. Blue remained bound to the chair, his wrists and ankles tied tightly. He watched the animatronics leave, a mix of relief and anxiety churning within him.
He was still in danger, and knew that the Animatronics weren't going to release him just like that. He had to either force his way out or wait until someone else finds him.
But at least now he had some breathing room to think. Toy Chica, however, stayed behind, she moved closer to Blue, her smirk playful and mischievous.
Toy Chica: Looks like it's just us now~
Her voice was laced with a hint of amusement, and Blue's heart pounded as Toy Chica approached him. She gracefully climbed onto his lap, her eyes locking onto his with a mixture of curiosity and intent.
Her presence was both unnerving and oddly captivating.
Toy Chica: You know, I've been waiting for this moment. Finally, I have you all to myself.
Blue's breath caught in his throat as he looked up at Toy Chica as she leaned in closer.
Blue: I-I have noticed that, you've been pursuing me, why?
Toy Chica's smirk widened, and she ran a finger along the edge of Blue's jaw, sending a shiver down his spine.
Toy Chica: You're different from the others
Her voice was soft and almost seductive, and Blue feared that she was going to kill him, or even eat him!
Toy Chica: Most nightguards are just...there. But you? You have a spark. A determination. It's fascinating.....you're just adorable~
Blue: Fascinating? I'm just trying to survive and live a normal life, which I can't even have
Toy Chica: Hahaha, oh it's more than that, there's something about you that draws me in. Maybe it's your fear. Maybe it's your resilience. Or maybe it's just that I enjoy the game.
Blue: Is that why you knocked me out and brought me here? For a game?
Toy Chica: Partly, but also because I wanted to see you up close, to understand you. And now that I have you here, I can take my time.
She leaned in even closer, her face inches from his. Blue could feel her cold, metallic body pressing against him, a stark reminder of the danger he was still in.
Blue: What do you plan to do with me?
Toy Chica's eyes gleamed with a mixture of playfulness and something darker.
Toy Chica: That depends on you, I could make this night very difficult for you. Or, if you keep me entertained, maybe I'll let you see another dawn, I have ideas on how we can entertain ourselves
Blue: And what would entertain you?
Toy Chica tilted her head, considering his question.
Toy Chica: For now, just talk to me. Tell me about yourself, speak more about why you took this job. Make me understand why you're so determined to survive, and maybe I can reward you~
Blue took a deep breath, realising that his charisma and ability to connect with her might be his only lifeline. Luckily he was really good at this.
Blue: I took this job because I wanted to help Michael find William, because he has done so much bad things that he needs to be brought down.
Toy Chica: You said he killed your Mother, right?
Blue: Yeah, and I'll never forgive him for that, because he used to be a man I trusted with everything, but clearly he isn't who I thought he was
Toy Chica: So, it's about revenge?
Blue: Yes, but once I remembered what he has been doing with Remnant, and the murders, I couldn't just let that slide. I want to help the children find peace whoever they are, I want to stop Afton and end this nightmare....just as Charlie wanted me to
