Prologue
The roar of the crowd was deafening as a scream filled the air, the sound of a body being slammed against metal repeatedly.
"Stop! Stop!" The man cried out as his shoulder hit the side of the cage roughly, though his attacker refused to let up. The crowd's roars and cheers got louder with every hit, every slam against the thick metal chains.
Eventually, a loud bell rang, signalling the end of the match. People booed angrily and watched as a few people slipped inside of the cage, grabbing the now unconscious man and dragging him out. His head was slumped to the side and blood was slowly dribbling out of the corner of his mouth. When the small group of people tried to wake him up, he wouldn't wake, he wouldn't move.
He was motionless.
Dead.
During this, the man in the cage paced in circles, waiting for the next man to challenge him. Truthfully, he couldn't really be considered a man, since he looked to be just a little younger than twenty-one. Twenty, maybe? Either way, it doesn't matter.
He was shirtless, sweat dripping off of his rather toned body as he paced about. The man paused for a moment before flicking a cigarette out of his pocket along with a lighter. The cigarette was quickly lit and was soon hanging out of the corner of his mouth as he watched for someone else to step up to the ring.
But no one came.
Minutes passed, though it truly seemed like hours and hours at a time. A larger, burly man stepped inside and grabbed the younger male's hand, jerking it up into the air while yelling, "Once again, he owns the ring! Our two-time championship winner, Mr. Hunter!"
The Mr. Hunter slowly turned his gaze around to everyone in the crowded room, his gaze cold. He didn't have much time. He glanced at the man and slammed his hand away before bolting out of the ring and towards the room used for bets.
He quickly got the money and counted it. $2,500 cash. Not too bad. He grabbed his bag and slipped on his shirt before exiting the building through the back, into the cold night.
