The clock struck 12:00, The sky roared, thunder was heard, restless wind moved the drapes on the windows, darkness but still the room was illuminated, Carlos stood mere feet away from Alyssa, both staring at each other quietly, then he moved,

Alyssa's POV:

I saw him move towards me,
Now we were face to face, I gulped,

"it doesn't look good on you", he said through gritted teeth, his anger flaring in his eyes, "huh", I whispered, he grabbed my hand tightly and showed me the ring,

"this bloody thing doesn't look good on you", he spitted in anger, "Carlos please" , "are you gonna say how sorry you are, don't bother", his glare was breaking my heart and his words felt like he was stomping over my heart again and again,

"please listen to me Carlos", "you listen to me, you can't marry him", he growled,

"I am already engaged", "then do what you do best, run away", he hissed, it was like he slapped me right across the face,

"I know I did you wrong Carlos but don't do this to me", "what did you expect, a whole welcome party after your stupid stunt 2 years ago, I maybe understanding but I am not stupid Alyssa, Carlos was dead when you left without any news, this is the new me", he spitted,

my tears were rolling down like snow on mountain, my avalanche of tears, "please anything else",

"Run away or face me as your enemy your entire pathetic life Alyssa", he said with a low voice,

"I promise you I won't rest until I destroy you", he said sternly, I just stared at him,

he hated me so much, he let go off my arm with a jerk and left, I stood there crying like the sky, it cried for me, I lost everything today, why did I felt like that, like I died today, maybe I did, I walked to my bed not to sleep but to mourn,

Next Day:

My phone rang, I picked it up, "Alyssa I have been trying your cell for the past two hours, where were you?", Ricardo asked, he was pissed,

"sleeping", I answered, I wasn't, I lied, I was lost in my thoughts, in my beautiful memories, Mourning over the love I lost, my life is not worth living anymore, I should die,

"Alyssa, you there?", I was brought to life again by his voice, "well today we are having a party at my place to celebrate our engagement, mom is excited, she wants to meet you" , he said calmly,

"okay", "are you alright Alyssa?", "yeah I am fine, just having a headache", "are you sure you're fine, you don't sound fine to me",

"I am fine I promise", I said with my most falsest happy voice, "okay, I have to go, I have some business to take care of, pick you up at 7:00 gorgeous", he said politely, "okay bye", the line was ended,

I was still lying on my back, staring at the ceiling, Carlos's angry eyes were hovering over my mind,

just the thought of him made me quiver with fear, his words were so poisonous, poisoning my inner peace slowly, how will I face him tonight or my entire life,

he is out for vengeance, why me!, I closed my eyes tightly, my door bell rang, Aurora opened the door, my maid,

"Miss your stuff is here", I got up to see the shopping bags and a stylist,  "hello I am Claire, Alyssa your mother in law send me for you", she said politely,

"okay", I smiled, "you look pale hun, are you alright?", she was a woman of 30ths,  she seemed really kind,

"I am fine", "you look like my daughter" I raised my eyes to meet hers, "My life is a mess", my process of beauty started, I told her my story, she listened to it calmly and sometimes squeezed my hand in comfort,

I was ready after 3 hours, I was staring at myself in the mirror she was standing behind me,

"I can just advice you Alyssa, the day you stood up for yourself, the day you break the chains, is the day you rise, you fly my child, May God bless you", with that she left and I was again alone,

soon Ricardo messaged me, I replied that I will be down and we can go, I was in the car with him, he argued that he didn't like the I will come down thing so to end the argument,

I apologized and said 'it will save us some time', we won't be late, it's been 15 mins we both haven't said a word to each other,

"you look amazing Alys", "thank you", I said with a fake smile,

"you look off", "I am not feeling well", "you should have told me Alyssa, I would have canceled the party", "oh no, I will be fine don't you worry", "okay",

we arrived, he opened the door for me and escorted me in, I saw press, I just lowered my head and glided through them with Ricardo, I am glad he didn't stop for a picture, we were in,

The mansion was filled with classy people, they came and congratulated me and Ricardo, complimented me and him, I saw girls envying me because I was by Ricardo's side,

I was in no mood of drama, Ricardo was with me the entire time, I was calm, if he stays around the devil won't come near me, speaking of him, I didn't saw him when I came nor I did now,

I released a breath of relaxation, "Darling there you are, oh you look magnificent", Mom came to me and showered me with million compliments,

I was not fake with her, I was smiling genuinely with her, she took me to a table and we talked about everything, she was so nice, her hand was on my hand the entire time we talked to each other,

"Alyssa I am so glad that my son found you, you are an angel", "thank you mum", "all the women here are jealous of your beauty. you are the star of this party",

"I am literally red mum, you are complimenting me too much",
I saw him finally, ripping through the crowd, towards us, I was a little tensed, he won't do anything in front of his mother,

"May I sit here mom", "Ah Carlos where were you, come sit darling", with that he settled himself, his glaring game was on again,

"can't you find someone like Alyssa my love", my breathing was really hard, "I did but she betrayed me",

"then she must not be like Alyssa cause she is a keeper", she said while winking,

"she sure is", he said while passing a smile to mum. he was killing me, "I will be right back, Amelia is calling me, you two should become friends, you will be seeing each other alot", "sure thing mom", he smiled,

oh no where is she going, I gulped, he was staring, "so you wanna play huh Alyssa, alright we will play, don't say I was hard on you when I tear you to pieces", he spitted,

"Carlos please, what will you take to leave me alone", "I am never leaving you alone, you will have to bear me your entire life, until I exist my hate will exist too, it will feast upon your misery", he said calmly while sipping his drink,

"I know you can never hate me this much Carlos, I know there is still some kindness left in you", I said to him with pleading eyes,

"there is no room for liars in my life", he said in a low voice,
"please Carlos don't do this", "I am just getting started, you saw my love now you will face my wrath, you will know what it's like to mess with a Crawford", he completed his death threat,

I wiped my tear away, I rose, "excuse me", with that I walked away, I was gliding through the crowd to go somewhere alone when a hand stopped me, I turned around, "Miss me",

we were near the pool area, I was hugging her, "Calm down Alyssa mama bear is here", "oh Maddy oh Maddy I am so sorry, please forgive me, my life is punishing me my entire life for what I did to you guys, I am sorry",

I said to her while tightly hugging her, "Alyssa you had to go so you went, I understood what the problem must have been when I heard you left without a notice", she said to me softly,

"I am so sorry", "don't be, you had informed me about your father, I knew he must be the reason for your disappearance", "Maddy you all must hate me", "No we don't",

  "yes you do", "Nobody hates you Alyssa geez shit happens, I am just happy that you're alive and healthy, that's all", I stared at her beautiful green orbs of light, it was like I found a missing puzzle of my reckless life again, I smiled,

"just look at you, you have gotten sexier", she smirked, "you too", "really", "yes", we laughed,

"I missed you Maddy", "Me too Alyssa", "I ruined my life that day when I left, just imagine graduating with you and our gang would have been so amazing", I said to her sadly,

"yeah it would have been amazing but it didn't happen so let's forget it and focus on our future", "okay", I said with a mild smile, "I want to be in your future Alyssa and don't you try running away, or I will hire FBI this time", we laughed,

"okay", "promise", "promise",

our feet were in the pool now, we were drinking a bit, "Carlos hates me and he wants revenge the end, happy with the whole story", "wow you are in a mess baby" ,

"I know", "he searched for you alot Alyssa, he was really hurt, he didn't back off a bit, he tried and tried and tried, but soon he had to give up, he searched for you a whole year but there was no lead, it was like you were a ghost, you vanished into thin air", she said while staring at the blue water,

"that's why he is so hurt, he trusted me and I betrayed him, I turned him into a monster, I deserve his cruelty", I said while wiping my tears away,

"No you don't, he will come around Alyssa, you just wait", "I hope so", "but I really never thought of you with Angry bird", we laughed, she still remembers the name,

"well you have a hot temper too, so you can be Mrs angry bird", "Maddy not helping, I don't want to marry him", "but you are",

"yeah I am, forget about it, how is your boyfriend Mason", I asked while pushing her shoulder a bit, "you mean my fiance", she showed me the ring, I squealed.

"Oh maddy this is great news", we laughed,  I was hugging her tightly, "that jerk proposed to me on our graduation day",

"Aw so cute", "we have it all planned out, and I got my bridesmaid back this is so epic", we laughed,

"I will love to be your bridesmaid Mama bear",

"wait till the gang sees you, they are gonna love it", "I don't know about that, I had witnessed wrath of one, I don't think I can handle more",

"don't be silly, Carlos is just crazy", we stood up it was late. we exchanged numbers, 

"so you just came to the engagement to meet me",  "Carlos said he had a surprise for me, I almost cried when I saw you, he knew I felt so lonely after you left. the guys tried to cheer me up like crazy", I felt more bad now,

"I am sorry Maddy". "Don't be, what matters is that you are here",
I saw three shadows coming our way, tall men in suit, they stopped,

"Hey guys", I muttered softly, well they didn't walk away, I smiled,but God was a little less hard on me today,so I was fortunately being suffocated in a hug,

"where were you cupcake?", "Let go Mason, she is getting blue", he let me go, I breathed out, Stan hugged me and then "Hi", Jordan said to me, then he hugged me,

"Look at you, you have gotten prettier Alyssa", Stan complimented, "well you guys have gotten handsomer too, not to forget really buff", they laughed,

"aw we missed you sweet heart", "how did you know I was here?", "we didn't, Carlos said he had a surprise for us, so we came", J said with a smile,

"I was the surprise", I said with a fake smile, "guess you were", "but we didn't know you were getting married to Ricardo sweet heart what the hell is that",

"our fathers are really close friends and I am being butchered alive", I said normally,

"what, they can't do that",

"they are doing it", I said firmly, "what about Ricardo?", Stan asked, "he is not backing out of it, he wants his dad's company", boys nodded,

"that is so selfish, ruining yours and his bro's life", Maddy said while sipping her drink,

"I was just hit by Karma, he was supposed to marry the girl his father chooses for him, so unfortunately it was me", I said in a saddened tone, "I am sorry to hear about that Alyssa", "it's alright I am getting used to it",

"Carlos is being a bitch to her", Maddy retorted. "Maddy", I scolded,

I saw Ricardo coming, "I have to go, we will meet again soon okay", they stood up and hugged me, boys were glaring at Ricardo, I ignored them and left with my brute charming,

Ricardo came to us because the party was over, so he dropped me off at my place, we had a normal chat, I knew he was not satisfied with my lies, he will soon confront me, I know these Crawford men they don't take bullshit, until then just relax,

My dressing table had a freshly plucked rose sleeping on it, I picked it up and sniffed it's beauty, the fragrance was divine,

"who brought it", there was no one present here. so I placed it in a glass of water near my bed side table,

"May with the withering of this flower, my troubles wither too, Amen", I prayed and fell asleep still in my party dress,

for some reason I was a little calm now, knowing not all of my friends despise me, I felt a little content, Carlos was hurt by my actions the most and he is hurt again, I just poked my finger in his open wound by soon getting married to his brother, I just wish some way I can get myself out of this horrid situation,

"until I exist my hate will exist too",
His heart wrenching statement still roams my mind.
