Alyssa's POV:

It's been two days, the storm is silent and tranquil metaphorically, on the other hand it's raining,

I am staring outside the window, I have stopped my mourning process and have decided to accept my fate, that is to marry Ricardo,

my head is flopped on my arm and I am drawing circles on the misted glass, my phone rang, I picked up the call,

"Hello", "Hey", it was him, I was still circling, "I am sending my driver to pick you up", my circling stopped, "what for", I asked curiously,

"To spend some time alone Alyssa, we are getting married", you don't have to tell me that every time we talk, who are you trying to confirm it to, me or yourself, I rolled my eyes,

"It's raining", "Poor excuse, think of something reliable", I gritted my teeth, this brute of a man, I knew he would be smirking right now,

"Then you must have gotten the clue that I don't want to spend time with you", I smiled, good job Alyssa, show him who is the boss around here, I heard squeaking of a comfort chair,

"so you wanna play huh Alyssa", he said firmly, I gulped, I didn't say a word,

"should I get you myself", he further stated, "I will still not go", "it's not your choice", "why not",

"because I said so", "then you can marry yourself", I ended the line and switched off my phone, no way I am spending time with him alone after how he reacted with me that day,

I quickly grabbed my bag and keys, I ran to the elevator, then to my car and I was off to my unknown destination, I was driving calmly now,

car moving swiftly on the empty roads, music playing softly, Enrique's "somebody's me" was on, a tear or two escaped my eye every time I hear him sing now,

My heart still aches, I chose to wander on the secluded parts of San Francisco, the not so crowded parts, I want to get away from him,

from my life, from reality, into the waves of fantasy so no one can ever find me, I stopped at a destination, my hidden destination that was founded by me when I came here few months ago,

I got off, went towards it, it's still raining, umbrella in my hand I trailed to my secret paradise, I crossed trees lots of them, some giant rocks and soon I was there where I wanted to be,

in front of me was a waterfall, and half lying dead tree as my bench, I swept the rusty leaves away and landed myself comfortably on my comfy bench,

just the sound of rain and waterfall, a little wind encircled my hearing, the smell of trees and rain kept me calm, I couldn't hear or see anything else, I just wanted to be alone,

my mind seat belted me on the rollercoaster of crazy thoughts and memories and I tried to find or come up with a solution to handle this not so happy situation, I was wet now, my companion in this paradise my umbrella was sleeping peacefully on a rock,

I stood up, wiped some tears, went to the waterfall, I striped my clothes off, there I stood a damsel in distress in a pure scarlet bikini in between the dark forest and I dived in the sparkly blue water,

it wasn't that deep but it was enough to casually swim in, I went in the waterfall just so it can fall upon me like a shower,

maybe it will pacify my sins, I was not happy yet a little bit satisfied, I dipped my head in and concealed my breath after some minutes I came back up,

I opened my eyes and the hair on my neck rose, I was petrified I saw a dark figure standing in pure darkness of the forest watching me,

I was in between the lake, I hurriedly grabbed something, anything luckily I could feel a stick and defended myself,

"Don't you dare step forward or I will bash your brains out", I said boldly, I couldn't believe I said that, I composed my expression, I couldn't clearly see because of the rain,

good God Alyssa, what were you thinking going for a swim in rain, are you freaking crazy!!!, now this lunatic will do something to you, bad thoughts started to emerge in my empty mind,

I gulped, he moved, he was coming forward, I was a little bit shaking and scared as hell, I wanna go home, then I saw a shadow, another one, shit Alyssa, 

my eyes went wide, he wasn't alone, he had his friends with him, Omg, tears welled up in my eyes, I know how this is gonna end, you being raped by lunatics, what a fancy day to wear your red bikini, shut up Alyssa, focus!,

"Don't test me I will use it", I showed them the freaking stick, which was easily breakable, my hands start to shake,

as the shadows start to emerge closer and closer and closer, "please leave me alone I am already walking to my doom in few months", I said to them with a shaky voice, they stopped,

I wiped my tears away, one grabbed my dress, shit no, "Please don't throw it away", he moved further and offered me as he stood on the corner of the lake,

I was hesitant, he can grab me and pull me up and then the end, "throw it to me" I said, trying to act smart, he stood still and shook his head slowly, huh I knew it, he wanted me close but I have no choice,

I moved a bit and passed my stick to him, I wanted him to place the dress on it, silly move, he got angry, he grabbed the stick and smashed it into two pieces,

I jumped back, he was taking my dress away, "No no wait I am coming", I said with a pleading voice, I saw the other three standing a little far, couldn't clearly see because of the stupid rain,

I hate rain from now on, he had his back to me, then he turned and sat near the corner of the lake, he wanted me near him, I moved slowly, keeping an eye on the other three as well, what if it's an ambush,

this person alone is enough for me, he was big, I almost slipped swiftly I balanced my weight,

I was mere inches away from him, I spread my left hand to grab the dress slowly, but swiftly caught it with my right, I was smart yet stupid, I jerked back so swiftly that in wearing my dress I tripped on an under water rock,

last thing I heard was a splash and someone grabbing my body, I opened my eyes to see four towering figures in darkness leaning over me,

I was lying in between them, one was wet, he was the closest to me, I saw one running away, to get a freaking rope!,

I pushed one away but he ceased my arms and pushed me back, sat over me, I yelled so one of them covered my mouth, this is my destiny, My dress was a little unadjusted,

"please let me go I promise to never visit here again", I pleaded, their impressions were blank and emotion less then it dawned upon me as a little light I don't know from where illuminated their features,

I relaxed, it was them, the Vendetta warriors, "Omg you scared me"I whispered, he got off me and adjusted my dress, so sweet of him, a weird pain rushed through my leg, I saw it bleeding,

"Shit", I muttered, I saw the other one coming back with a first aid kit, he bandaged my foot, it had a gash in it, it needed stitching, he performed it nicely, I groaned in pain one held my hand and the other caressed my head gently, they were so kindly handling my cries,

"Thank you so much", I said to them softly, "you saved my foot", I said with a small chuckle, I stared at them, they were staring too,

"You don't speak much do you", one of them nodded, "everyone loves you in San Francisco mostly girls", I said to them kindly, it was too silent, the rain had stopped and cool breeze was blowing around us, I tried to stood up but failed,

"Um can you help me sit on that bench", they stared at the dead tree thinking I must be insane,

"I mean the dead tree head", I was waiting for one to give me a shoulder but he just picked me up in his arms, I yelped in surprise,

"Okay haha that was unpredictable", I said to him, I knew I was blushing, he carefully placed me at my seat, I thanked him and grabbed my bag, they were just standing and observing,

I searched for my phone and opened it, my bag was not wet I had hid it in between the rocks and covered it, as my phone was switched on I got a dozen of beeping noises,

I just gave them a thoughtful smile and tried to silent it, after some minutes It made peace with me and was quiet, I heaved a heavy sigh while scrolling my phone, dozen from Ricardo, from Sash, from dad,

"Shit", I muttered, I dialed his number and motioned them to not make any noise,

"You can go if you want to, thank you for your support, I am greatly thankful to you all", I said to them sincerely. they just stood there frozen, "Alyssa where the heck are you", I knew they could hear that, "Dad I um am at Sasha's", "Don't lie Alyssa I have already called her, where are you and with whom",

I closed my eyes and cursed, "I am alone father", "Where?", "I can't tell you, I am just in the city", I lied, I was out of it years ago to be exact,

"Such irresponsibility can not be tolerated Alyssa you are a grown woman who is about to get married, have you no sense foolish girl", he scolded me coldly,

"You even misbehaved with Ricardo how dare you, he was so angry but he composed himself", He hissed, why was he taking his side,

"MARRIAGE MARRIAGE MARRIAGE THAT'S ALL WHAT YOU TALK ABOUT NOW, DO THIS ALYSSA, DO THAT ALYSSA YOU KNOW WHAT, TO HELL WITH ALYSSA ", I ended the line, my tears were falling freely, silence just my mild sniffing, one moved and offered me a tissue, I half chuckled,

"Sorry for the show guys I am just in a deep mess right now", I said to them, my head was still down, they were still just standing,

"You should go, I don't want you to bear all this useless drama", I stated, they moved and sat beside me one by one, I stared at them,

"You guys are pretty weird, lurking in the shadows fighting the bad guys how is it?", I asked, one of them made a sign with his hand joining his forefinger with his thumb, which meant awesome, I smiled,

"I wish I was like you guys strong, independent, free spirited, rebellious", I whispered while twisting my hair strand,

"Me I am gonna tell you what I am?", they were staring at the darkness like me,

"I am a coward, a liar, a weakling, I betrayed my friends two years ago I left them", I sniffed, silence, "and to top it all off I by coincidence am getting married to a guy who is the brother of the guy I had feelings for but it ended as fast as it started, I didn't even get a chance to tell him", I whispered,

"I saw him again after 2 years few days ago he hates me", I finished, one rubbed my back,

"how cruel can life be, it's punishing me like crazy my entire life now it's latest scheme is to make me fight my past with my bare hands", I was staring at my hands now, my phone rang,

"where are you?", the wolf spoke angrily, "why do you care?", "Alyssa stop messing around with me you are a girl and it's dangerous to be alone at this hour", "what's the time?", he groaned,

"It's one a.m Alyssa tell me where you are, I am coming to get you", "you already have me", silence, "Stop fighting", "no",

"Alyssa", "what?", "just tell me where you are?", "No need,  I have my car I am heading home don't worry, I am safe", I said to him while looking at them with a mild smile,

"okay fine text me when you reach home alright", "okay", I ended the call, I am stubborn and I know that, I tried to stand up but my wound was aching like crazy,

I was about to say something when hulk picked me up again, now we were heading to my car, I felt quite safe in his arms, I saw them walking behind us,one waved, I smiled,

"there's my car", I pointed to my car, he walked passed the driver's seat and placed me on the passenger's seat,

"I can drive um masked man" I said and the goofy one came near me and pinched my cheeks and closed the door,

after 15 mins I was at Sasha's hotel because I didn't wanted to face my father with a bruised foot,

I was still in his arms, he was just standing casually, I tried to lift his mask up but the other one grabbed my arm and shook his fingers,  I pouted,

he pinched my cheeks adorably, I am not that cute you know but they were treating me like a child, maybe they are older men that's why they are treating me like a princess, well the love feels fatherly to me, boys aren't that much caring,

"My best friend's a big fan so you better be careful", we stepped in her house she came out,

"Alyssa you better have ---- " , she dropped her ice cream cup which one of the warriors caught in a swift,

"Hey Sash" I smiled mildly, he placed me on the sofa,

"Thank you so much", I kissed his masked vendetta cheek, "Are you alright", Sash asked, she was worried, they were eyeing her, I know she is pretty plus in her very intense sexy nighty, she was sitting with me then she stood up,

"Thank you so much, I almost lost my Goldilocks", she winked my way, "Are you guys hungry",

"Um Sash they don't speak", she was silent, "Secretive I like it", She went in the kitchen,

"Um sorry about that she is just weird", the goofy one made the same sign again which meant awesome, the other one slapped his neck, I chuckled,

"She is single", I winked, he made a thumbs up, I smiled, "Okay secret dudes you can eat there how much you adore your secret identity so I managed to set a small snack counter for you in the other room I promise I won't peek",

she confirmed them with a smile, in no seconds they were out, she came running to me and whisper squealed, "Alyssa OMG this is a dream come true I wanted to meet them like crazy", I laughed with her, she kissed my cheek, "Thank you for falling",

"Hey" "Joking", we laughed, they came back after 15 mins, one hugged Sasha who hugged him back, other three nodded,

"Can I take a picture with you all please", they all gave each other a look and they passed the camera to the tallest one, I was watching them but they came near me, she sat beside me and they all settled near us, "Smile not helping but still smile", we both laughed,

the picture was taken from my Polaroid, they later went their way, well they hugged us first then left, one even gave me a rose, I found out the hulk one gave roses to me, 

I was lying on Sasha's bed, "Alyssa", "Yeah",

"I hope we see them again", "Me too", "Goodnight Alyssa",

"Good night Sash", I heard him again after a long time, "Good night Golden", my heart broke and darkness closed the light at me until tomorrow.
