Alyssa's POV:

I was placing my ladder, when I saw J approaching, "mind if I help", "be my guest", he smiled, he climbed up the ladder,

"be careful", "ah huh", I handed him the bulb, he was tightening it, it was fluctuating so I thought to change it or my porch would have been veiled by darkness soon, so I changed it in advance, he got off ...

he picked up the ladder and went to put it but suddenly his leg slipped and he crashed on the ground, the ladder falling on top of him, I rushed to him, "Ow I am dead!",

"J are you alright?", I removed the ladder, he was still on my porch, scrunching his nose in pain, I gently gave him some support to stand,

I guided him inside, he was now seated on my sofa, silently groaning, I brought an ice bag and kneeled infront of him,

"let me see", I was scanning him, " just like old times Alyssa, you checking my wounds whenever I get my clumsy ass in trouble, good times",

"J does it feel a little better now", "yeah", he was smiling brightly, I gave him a pleasant smile and got up, he grabbed my hand,

"Alyssa you don't hate me right?", " J why would I hate you?", "you know me befriending them and all", he was worried,

"J I don't hate you besides they are really nice guys, you need someone like them in your life", "I need you too", he said calmly, I was gazing at him, the bell rang, I went to see who was at the door,

"hey come on in", I went in with him, "J look who is here, Sky meet J", I wanted to see how he reacts infront of me with Sky, and his expressions flipped like a switch,

so did Sky's, both weren't happy to see each other, "Sit Sky", he was still standing, both were giving each other looks, "guys hello", 

"I will talk to you later", "but Sky wait...", he was gone, I closed the door, I saw J sitting in a really pissed mood, he never reacts like this,

then why was he, I think he is inheriting their colors, I flopped into a sofa, "I don't like him Alyssa", " J please",

"no listen to me, I get bad vibes from him", "we are not doing this J, not right now", I stood up and he too did the same,

"Alyssa I am not saying this because of Carlos or my friends, he is not what you think he is",

"oh really then do tell me, what is he like", I stared at his face, he pushed his hair back,

"Alyssa listen to me for a sec", "No J no, I don't want to, the thing is that you don't know him, he is a simple guy and he is really in need of a friend, I won't let you take that away from him", I said firmly,

"Alyssa you are too nice, you shouldn't trust someone like him, it is dangerous A",

"don't make me regret my decision J of letting you guys in my life again, if I can let you in, I can also shut you out, I don't want to hear anything against Sky, he is my friend and I care about him and you guys are the ones who misbehaved with him when he tried to befriend you guys",

" wait what?, when did he tried to befriend us?",

"in the morning", "he didn't try to befriend us, he stated bluntly that you are his for the taking, he is a liar",

"Argh J that's it", I went to the door and opened it for him, he was silent now, gazing at me for a while quietly, moved but stopped near me,

"so this is how it's gonna be Alyssa, you kicking me out?", I didn't responded,

"fine I am leaving, just be careful that's all I want", he left... I was really angry at him, trying to turn me against Sky, what a mean move, sometimes I just think that he is turning more like them day by day, he doesn't feel like my J, the J I knew... I heaved a heavy sigh.....   

After 5 hours...

I heard my bell and agitated banging on my door, I ran to open it, It was Sky,

"Hi, can I come in?", his facial expressions were plain, I gave him way, he was walking a little abruptly, "are you okay?", I asked while placing my hand on his arm, he gave me a quick nod,

"can you make me some coffee, I feel cold", I nodded, he went to sit on the sofa, something was up and I knew it, I hurriedly prepared coffee for him whilst still keeping him in check,

he didn't move much, he was staring at the ceiling blankly, I handed him his coffee, he sipped slowly, his hands were shaking, I placed my hand on his knee,

"Sky is there something bothering you, you know you can talk to me about anything", I tried to comfort him, he gave me a half smile, he was acting different,

his hand was adjusting is shirt every now and then, I had noticed it and I did what seemed right to me, I lifted his shirt up, gasped, he stood up in agitation,

"You you are hurt Omg what happened?", I asked him,

" Jesus Jane you are unpredictable", he was cursing to himself,

"Sky I demand you to tell me what happened right now", I literally scolded him, I was enraged  who could do such a thing,

"I was in an accident", he lied, he was not making eye contact with me,

"Sky I can tell by simply looking at it, it's a blow, were you in a fight with someone", his head jerked upwards in fright, sweat visible on his forehead,

"Jane I am fine really I am, like I said it was an accident", now I was linking up the dots, I knew who had problems with him and I also knew who was pretty good at punching people in the gut,

"was it them", I asked in a low tone, my eyes held rage I could tell, how could they, he was shaking his head, "No no Jane no",

" DON'T LIE TO ME, I HATE LIES,  TELL ME THE TRUTH", I yelled, he gulped, my eyes were getting teary, he was quiet, staring at the ground,

"Yes or no, answer me", I demanded, no answer, I was running out of patience,

"I am not gonna ask you again Sky, answer me or else", I spoke venomously, "yes" he whispered, I stepped back for a second, shaking my head slightly, and in no time I was out of my house,

I saw them standing near their cars, they saw me approaching, I went to them and pushed Carlos back with force,

"HOW COULD YOU, HOW COULD YOU, HOW LOW CAN YOU GET?",  he had the most pokerish poker face on, what an actor he was, I grabbed his collars, the others were shocked and silent like hell,

"How dare you hurt him, I trusted you, I gave you another chance and you blew it, go away I don't want to see your face ever again, go leave me alone, let me live in peace, you have caused enough havoc Carlos,

go just go and never come back, I don't want to do anything with you or them", I finished my hate speech, he was silently gazing at me, he was speechless,

"you want me to leave", he asked, "yes and never come back", I spitted in rage, everything was frozen,like our hearts,I walked away, I heard J trying to say something but Carlos stopped him, 

I saw Sky standing on my porch, he was upset, I grabbed his arm and pulled him in,

"can you stay tonight?, I asked while gently rubbing my arms, "yeah sure" he whispered, "good".

The night was cruel, I couldn't sleep, my soul was restless,it seemed more dark tonight, it was too quiet like in a graveyard, Morning dawned....

Morning was calm, I went out to get the paper, I saw oil stains, they were gone .....
