Alyssa's POV:

I hurriedly packed my things, thrushed my stuff in the luggage, grabbed some cash, I was looking at the clock,

it was 3:00, I could feel the adrenaline in my tiny body, my nerves on fire, as the time moved ahead, my heart skipped a beat,

I was running away again, from all of it, from all of the drama, leaving it, leaving this hell of a life forever, I can't wait for a whole year,

I will lose myself in between this war, and I can't bare that, I will not give up my body to Ricardo, nor I will bear more pain and traumatic sufferings that Carlos make me go through every now and then,

my sweats were climbing down the stairs of my forehead, I was getting weird flashes in my eyes, my mouth running low on moisture,

I zipped my bag up, I had called the cab as soon as I was in, I used a different phone, my neighbor Genevieve's phone, I lied to her that my mobile was dead, I was planning an escapade, leaving no traces behind, I am done with this,all of this.

why should I care, I am no push over, I know my heart is pounding, trying to break my ribcage, but I won't stop and wait for my dead bed,

I am gonna save myself on my own, I am tired, okay I am tired, I wiped my tear drops, why was I crying, not because I was sad, but because I was scared,

damn scared of being caught, even a small shuffle outside my door, sent my heart into a pumping frenzy, my legs were shaking so was my hands,

it was way too hard to sort out my stuff, with this mediocrity my mind was making me go through,

It was like I was in Antarctica shivering my bones out.... I glided to the other room, to the kitchen to get some eatables for the road,

I got everything I need, my phone rang and I literally threw it with force on the bed, but fortunately it was only a message from Sash, "wake babe", I didn't reply, not now Sash always the wrong timing,

"Come on, come on", my phone rang, I picked up, "hello",

"Hey Alyssa, your cab is here", "okay thanks, Genevieve, sorry for the bother ", "it's cool darling,have a safe trip"I picked up my stuff,

I had cleaned up my room before, so no one can figure out my plan, there was no room left for mistakes, I called from my neighbor Genevieve's house, cab was sent to her,

who lives on the floor above me, smart right, no one knows that we are friends, because she is an elderly woman of 50,

who never gets out of her own house, I even packed the things that were left untouched means that were gifted to me,

I didn't touch a thing for if some one hires a detective to look for my finger prints, okay I am crazy, I should stop watching movies, but I had no choice, and it seemed like a great plan,

I went to my lift, I was wearing a hoodie and some jeans, why I chose to call my cab around 3:30 because the guard duty changes,

and I have bribed this amateur guard to delete this clip from his camera footage, it worked, I stroded towards my cab, without any delay,

the guy hurriedly placed my stuff, I was sure the only destination waiting for me is the hospital, but thank God that didn't happen, the car moved, my nervousness subsided slowly,

I was gaining my composure,my conscience, was I drunk, It was really hard, I rested my head against the car seat, the car was air conditioned, I sipped from my water bottle,

I was still a little agitated, I lied several times today to get this peace, sometimes it's good to lie, if your own life, happiness, worth, respect is on stake, so I did, I don't regret it,

never will, I escaped from my hell, my face grew color as I left the city, driving towards freedom....

(1 years later)

I was living in a small town, near Miami, away from the noise and pollution, opened fields, soft, fresh breeze, sunny morning, star filled, windy nights,

oh just love the nights, my escape was successful, I changed my identity here, I am no longer a yellow or someone liked to called golden haired blond,

I am a jet black haired beauty with a flaring attitude, Bob says that,  he is my boss, I work at a coffee shop, it's a small job but it was really easy to get, and people are so nice to me,

so I still have my signature eyes, is that even a thing, my light brown eyes, which have gotten more lighter I guess due to the country atmosphere, haha,

but they are light brown, not golden like someone said so in my past, it looked golden due to it's sandiness or shininess, they gleamed so yeah they became golden, I still call them golden though as this color really defines who I am,....

I was cleaning the counter top, "Janette sweetie, how are you?", my head rose, I smiled, "my the world goes round when you smile darling, I can tell Marlow she kills many boys every day", I laughed wholeheartedly, Uncle Marlow nodded jollily,

while touching his heart, they are the town's nicest and one of the eldest couples, they are sweet and kind and I love them with all my heart...

yes my name is Janette wallflower here, we were talking, I was serving them fresh croissants and some coffee, it was morning, we laughed so much, then Mary came with little Josh, who literally served the customers with me, he is a yummy cupcake, okay I am hungry,

"Janette you coming tonight, you promised to sing a duet with me", Bob asked, my boss is really young like in his 20's like me,

he is cute, you know good boy cliches, country men with sandy blond hair, ocean blue eyes, perfect smile,

"Yes I remember, I will come", I answered while placing the empty utensils on the counter, Chloe picked them up, winked my way, I smiled, my perfect family,

I have a character for every relationship here, Uncle Marlow as a father figure, Aunt Jane as a mother figure, little Josh as my brother and Chloe as my sister,

my family is complete, but sometimes I really do feel as if something is still missing, hiding in my unconscious, ready to jump at me at the right moment....

But I am in no hurry to discover it, I am happy and content with what I have, I have after a long struggle achieved this love and made my place among the nicest, friendly people of "Apricot hills", everything about this place is so natural and earthly that I just can't get enough of it. .

after some hours my shift was over, I was walking towards my house, "Hey Janette", "hey Jane", "Jany", passerby's said pleasingly, like I said they are so nice,

"Hey", I replied as I walked pass them, a dog came to welcome me, I patted it and hugged it, "there you are Rogers, sorry miss this pup is a chick magnet, I am not responsible for his improper behavior, he just goes where the girls go", I chuckled,

he had a country accent, he titled his hat in appreciation of his joke, "really, you naughty boy", I cooed the pup, his tail wiggled with delight,

"well I might say, this time he caught a beauty" the man flirted with me, I stood up, "I am Sky",

"I am Janette, its so nice to meet you", "pleasure is all mine Janette, same here"  we were quiet a bit, then he spoke,

"I am new here, I am the popular Uncle Marlow's nephew", he joked, I chuckled, "really, they are so sweet",

"I have heard about you from them, they mention you alot Miss Wallflower", he did that thing with his hat again, it was fun to watch him do that, I pushed my hair behind my ear, "really?",

"yes, as you can see I know your surname and where you live", he joked, I smiled and shook my head,

"are you flirting with me Sky", I asked with a raised brow, he touched his jaw, "is it working", I laughed,

"not so much", "damn it, I have to try harder", he was funny,

"I have to go", "okay",

"okay", I said while walking away, "bye", I smiled and looked back, "bye", then he ran and started walking beside me,

"Miss Wallflower I am not a stalker but I am your neighbor", he said casually, then we both shared a laugh, this boy is strange, he keeps trying,

we talked about several things while walking home, he is a nice guy, he cares about his grandparents, he works as a real estate agent here,

his business is brand new here in the hills, he is really excited about it, passionate if I say more.. then we parted, I invited him to our city's bar, it's Saturday night, we have karaoke, and some other games, it's a perfect place to socialize and meet people,

I jumped on my bed and opened my laptop to see whats new,

After 3 hours:

I was standing in front of my full length mirror, checking myself out that is, I looked adorable and sophisticated,

I wore a dark blue sleeveless dress, covering my kneecaps, let my Raven colored hair loose, they cascaded perfectly on my sleek back,

I have gotten curvier, after 15 minutes I was out of my house, I was about to cross the road when someone grabbed me from behind,

two or three cars zoomed passed me, I was about to get hit by one of them, I looked up to see, who it was,

"I promise you I am not a stalker", Sky joked again, "I believe you", I was still in a daze, I fixed myself, he gave me a warm smile,

"I know I've been flirting with you constantly but that doesn't mean you should kill yourself", he said firmly, it took a minute for me to understand his humor,

I playfully slapped his arm, he smiled, offered me his arm, I gladly took it, we walked together towards our location..

everyone was already there, joking and laughing, "Hey Janette", everyone said in unison, I smiled to them, Sky raised his eyebrow, "you are famous", he muttered under his breath as we make pass to the bar,

"it's a small town", I replied while waving at all familiar faces, we were seated,
"should I buy you a drink",

"no I don't drink, juice will be nice", he was impressed, "so what are your plans Hanna Montana", I almost choked on my drink, he patted my back,

"are you alright?", he asked, "my plan is to sing tonight", he laughed, "unbelievable",

"you guessed it, bravo to you", I always wanted to sing infront of the whole audience, after coming here I got a chance to,

I still remember the first day, I sang, the whole room went silent, after it, the crowd cheered, the sound of applause still echoes in my head, after that,

every Saturday night I started doing Karaoke or just sing for fun, the owner Lil Stephen was awestrucked, he said I had to sing in his bar,

I was the limelight he said one day, the life of this town, it was a really big compliment but it made my heart swell with happiness, everything is just perfect...

after some minutes, I was call on stage, Bob was waiting for me there, two stools were placed infront of the crowd, we seated and begun,

"hello everyone I am Janette", "we know", people chanted in unison, I laughed, I heard hollers and whistles, I saw Sky standing on the front watching everything with an astonishing expression,

"I love you all", boys whistled, "I am gonna sing "Like I am gonna lose you"  by Meghan Trainor hope you all enjoy it", the sound started, Bob winked my way,

I found myself dreaming

The crowd was singing along, cool breeze visited us this time, the atmosphere was filled with love and affection, everyone was swirling with the beat, my voice echoed in the air, people were delighted, some were missing their loved ones, I too was missing but they are lost for me forever...

My night went great, our song was appreciated and loved by everyone, they cheered for me till the end, I still hear them, I was lying on my bed, smiling like crazy while looking at the ceiling,

I don't remember when I fell asleep, but I can tell you one thing, my mind was at peace.
